Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for an end to spiritual warfare that has targeted me since I was young. Please also pray for an end to vivid, disturbing dreams that I constantly have - which sometimes are related to the warfare and sometimes are not. Please also pray for me because I'm so overwhelmed and every five seconds, there's something else going on in my life between spiritual warfare attacking me and someone always wanting something from me - I just want to be left alone. Please pray for me to have a better schedule and to stop ending my nights so late. Please pray that God would lead me to new jobs - and possibly the ability to have at least two jobs, one primary and an extra one. I am considering staying now at the jobs I currently have. Please pray for wisdom for me about this and that all issues I have with these jobs would get better for me and my coworkers. Please pray for me to be set free from maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts which I keep giving in to especially while falling asleep - and which the enemy seems to be directly increasing temptation toward. The sexual thoughts are really becoming a serious problem in my life and I'm so ashamed. God set me free from sexual sin before. I'm so sad to be falling into it again. 💔 I think because I'm struggling with depression right now, I'm using those thoughts as an outlet. Please pray. Pray that the African American community would be set free from false teachings. Pray for my entire family as we all seem to have the flu - pray that no one caring for me in my sickness would be made sicker while trying to care for me. My dad who was the first one to get sick but was getting better now seems to be coughing a lot again. Please pray for three of my cats - two who were scratching themselves too hard and accidentally caused wounds and the other who was making a strange noise with his mouth the other night but seems fine now. Pray that all my cats would be and stay healthy. I have no money for a vet and don't even know of a good one in our area. We love our pets so much. Please pray that I would stay disciplined in eating according to a diet I have to eat on due to a medical condition. Please also pray for a close friend who has fibromyalgia, alpha thalassemia, blood pressure problems, prostate concerns and asthma. Thank you.

We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach the throne of grace. You are not alone in this battle, and we join with you to rebuke every spirit of oppression, torment, and deception that has sought to harass you since childhood. The enemy has no authority over you, for you belong to Christ, and we declare his blood over your life as a shield against every attack.

The vivid and disturbing dreams you describe are not from God, for He gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2) and speaks in peace, not confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33). We rebuke every spirit of fear, perversion, and torment that invades your rest. The Word declares, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). We command these dreams to cease in Jesus’ name and pray that your sleep would be guarded by angels, filled with the peace of the Holy Spirit. If these dreams are tied to generational strongholds or unconfessed sin, we encourage you to renounce any foothold the enemy may have gained and claim the freedom Christ purchased for you on the cross.

Your exhaustion is palpable, and we grieve with you over the relentless demands on your time and energy. Jesus Himself withdrew to lonely places to pray and rest (Luke 5:16), and He invites you to do the same: "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28 WEB). We pray for divine intervention in your schedule, may the Lord order your steps, grant you wisdom to set boundaries, and provide opportunities for rest that honor Him. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what you must release, whether it be commitments, relationships, or habits that drain you. You are not called to be everyone’s solution; you are called to abide in Christ (John 15:4).

Regarding your work, we pray for clarity and confirmation. If the Lord is leading you to stay at your current jobs, we ask Him to soften hearts, resolve conflicts, and open doors for favor with your coworkers and supervisors. If He is calling you elsewhere, we pray for provision, courage, and divine connections to lead you to better opportunities, even multiple streams of income if that aligns with His will. "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this" (Psalm 37:5 WEB). Seek Him in prayer and fasting, and listen for His voice above the noise of your circumstances.

The struggle with maladaptive daydreaming and sexual temptation is a heavy burden, and we want you to know that shame is not from God. The enemy uses it to isolate you, but Christ calls you to walk in the light (1 John 1:7). The sexual thoughts you describe are not merely a personal failing; they are a targeted attack from the enemy to steal your purity, your peace, and your intimacy with God. We rebuke every spirit of lust, perversion, and addiction in Jesus’ name. The Word is clear: "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB). This is not a battle you can win in your own strength, but through Christ, you are more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37).

We urge you to take radical steps to guard your heart and mind. This may include installing accountability software on your devices, confessing to a trusted believer, and filling your mind with Scripture instead of the fantasies the enemy offers. Memorize verses like "How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word" (Psalm 119:9 WEB) and "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things" (Philippians 4:8 WEB). Replace the lies with truth, and when temptation comes, cry out to Jesus immediately. He is faithful to provide a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Your depression is real, and we do not dismiss it, but we also declare that it does not have the final say. The enemy wants you to believe that these thoughts are an escape, but they only deepen the pit. We pray for the Holy Spirit to comfort you, lift your spirits, and lead you to godly counsel, whether through biblical counseling, medical support, or both. Jesus came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1), and He is near to you in your pain. Pour out your heart to Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

For the African American community, we pray for a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit to expose and dismantle every false teaching that leads people away from the truth of the Gospel. May pastors and leaders rise up with boldness to preach Christ crucified, the only foundation for salvation (1 Corinthians 3:11). We declare that the blood of Jesus breaks every chain of deception, and we pray for revival, unity, and a hunger for God’s Word.

For your family battling the flu, we pray for complete healing and protection. May the Lord strengthen your immune systems, ease your symptoms, and prevent further spread. We ask Him to bless those caring for you, shielding them from illness and filling them with supernatural strength. "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5 WEB). We claim this healing for each of you.

For your beloved cats, we pray for divine health and protection. The Lord cares for even the sparrows (Matthew 10:29), and He surely cares for your pets. We ask Him to heal their wounds, soothe their discomfort, and guide you to affordable veterinary care if needed. May they bring you joy and comfort as you care for them.

For your medical diet, we pray for discipline and grace. Ask the Lord to help you see this as an act of stewardship over the body He has given you. "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s" (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB). May He provide the strength to honor Him in this area.

For your friend with multiple health challenges, we pray for supernatural healing and relief. May the Lord touch every cell in his body, regulate his blood pressure, strengthen his bones, and ease his pain. We declare that by His stripes, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we ask for wisdom for his doctors and peace for his soul.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name. We thank You that You hear us and that You are a God who sees, knows, and cares for every detail of this dear one’s life. Lord, we rebuke every spirit of oppression, torment, and deception that has plagued them since childhood. We declare that they are covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We break every curse, generational stronghold, and assignment of the enemy over their life, their mind, their dreams, and their family.

Father, we ask You to silence the enemy’s voice in their sleep. Replace the disturbing dreams with Your peace, and let them rest in the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1). Guard their mind from every ungodly thought, and fill them with Your truth. We pray for a supernatural intervention in their schedule, order their steps, Lord, and grant them wisdom to set boundaries. Provide rest, clarity, and opportunities that align with Your will.

For their work, we ask for Your guidance. If it is Your will for them to stay, soften hearts, resolve conflicts, and open doors for favor. If You are calling them elsewhere, provide new opportunities, even multiple streams of income, and confirm Your will through Your Word and godly counsel. Grant them wisdom to discern Your leading.

Father, we come against the spirit of lust and perversion that has tormented them. We declare that they are dead to sin and alive in Christ (Romans 6:11). Break every chain of addiction, shame, and bondage. Fill their mind with Your Word, and surround them with accountability. When temptation comes, Lord, provide a way of escape and strengthen them to flee. Restore their purity and their intimacy with You.

For their depression, we ask for Your comfort and healing. Lift their spirits, Lord, and remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Lead them to godly counsel, medical support, or both, and surround them with believers who will speak life into them. Let them know that their worth is found in You alone.

For their family battling illness, we pray for complete healing. Strengthen their immune systems, ease their symptoms, and protect those caring for them. For their pets, we ask for Your healing touch and provision for their care. For their medical diet, grant discipline and grace to honor You with their body.

For the African American community, we pray for a mighty outpouring of Your Spirit to expose and dismantle false teachings. Raise up bold leaders who will preach Christ crucified and lead people into truth. For their friend with health challenges, we pray for supernatural healing, relief from pain, and wisdom for his doctors.

Lord, we thank You that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We trust You to move mightily in every area of this dear one’s life. Strengthen their faith, renew their hope, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. May they know that they are deeply loved by You, and may they walk in the freedom Christ died to give them.

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We are holding you in prayer today. You have named so many heavy realities, spiritual attack since childhood, relentless dreams, the crushing feeling that something new hits every five seconds, and a deep struggle with shame over sexual thoughts that had once been conquered. It is no wonder you are overwhelmed. We want you to know you are not alone, and we do not take a single one of these burdens lightly.

The shame you feel about the sexual thoughts and the maladaptive daydreaming carries its own pain, and we grieve with you that you are back in a place you thought you had left. Sometimes we mistake a new stumble for complete failure, piling guilt on top of solitude. But freedom in this area is rarely a single, finished event; it is more like training for a marathon, long, steady, with small steps forward even when we slip. What if, tonight, instead of re-playing the shame, you gently turned your heart toward Jesus with the simplest whisper: “Lord, I need You here”? Not panicking, not bargaining, just acknowledging His presence. Over time, those little re-directions reshape the inner world far more than white-knuckle willpower can. The Jesus who set you free before is still with you, and His mercy has not shrunk.

About the jobs: if you are leaning toward staying for now, consider giving yourself a short, defined window, a few weeks, to watch for any shifts in the problems or in your sense of peace. Sometimes clarity comes not as a lightning bolt but as a quiet, growing sense of direction. Meanwhile, we are asking God to carve out real, protected space for you, because your longing to be left alone for a while is real and human. You do not have to apologize for needing rest.

If the depression lingers, we gently encourage you to share that weight with a wise pastor or a Christian counselor. You do not have to carry it by yourself, and reaching out is not weakness.

Let us pray:

Father, we lift up our friend to You. You see the warfare, the disturbing dreams, and the exhaustion of endless demands. Please quiet the noise and let Your peace guard their mind and heart. Break the power of the enemy’s attack. In the place of sexual struggle and fantasy, pour out fresh mercy and a willing spirit to turn back to You, moment by messy moment. Lift the depression, restore hope, and grant them some genuine rest. Give wisdom about the jobs, whether to stay or to seek something new, and provide what is needed. We ask for healing for their dad and for the whole family with the flu, and protection over each of those dear cats. Strengthen our friend in the daily discipline of their diet, and we also bring their close friend before You with all those health concerns, sustain him and guide his medical care. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

It is no small thing to be battered by the enemy from youth and to feel the dark tide of oppression ever lapping at the soul. Yet remember this: Egypt may represent those states of sorrow and depression into which God’s people come far too frequently, but He brings them forth. The Lord does not leave His chosen to rot in the pit; He has given commandment to save you, and you shall be saved from yourself, from the attacks of old sins, and from the devil’s relentless arrows. The clock of mercy in heaven has already struck the hour of deliverance for all who cry to Him.

You speak of vivid, disturbing dreams and a mind that races into maladaptive daydreaming and filthy lusts. I know that snare well. To drink of the cup of lust is to feel a thrill that makes the very bones rot. Do not imagine you can occasionally slip into sin by way of pleasure and still prove yourself a true partaker of Christ’s deliverance. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from its guilt. Where you look for justification, there you must look for sanctification. Cry out, “Lord, give deliverance from this bloodthirsty foe,” and cross the brook trembling, but expect to meet your Esau with a kiss, for God will yet come to your aid. The shame you feel is a mercy, it shows the Spirit has not utterly departed. But do not wallow in the shame; run to the ransom. Nobody would have dreamed of a sinner’s rescue through a substitute, yet God declares, “I have found a ransom.” Rest there.

Your life is pressed on every side, jobs, schedules, the endless demands of voices, the sickness in your household, the wounds on your poor cats. You say you just want to be left alone. Yet these very tribulations are the soil where gratitude later blooms. A man who never walks the deep waters has little to declare. When you are delivered, your mouth will be filled with songs and testimony. But remember that deliverance, though of the Lord, comes by human instrumentality, you must shoot the arrow of obedience. Seek wise counsel on the jobs, set a strict hour for sleep as an act of self-denial, turn your eyes from images and thoughts that enflame lust, and cry out for the Spirit’s sword to slay them. You cannot do this in your own strength, nor should you try. All that is seen in a time of depression and battle is of man if you look within; you must look right away to Him who made heaven and earth.

Your father’s cough, your friend’s manifold afflictions, the trembling for your beloved animals, these are not beneath His notice. Cast them all upon Him. Even the sigh of a cat or the groan of a father finds sympathy in the High Priest who is touched with the feeling of our infirmities. And for the African American community ensnared by false teachings, pray on; when the people are gathered together to serve the Lord, the memory of deliverance shall not be forgotten. The ministry that God sends will be one of consolation to those seeking Divine rescue.

The enemy whispers incessant accusations and fleshly bait, but God has said, “Deliver him from going down to the pit.” His grace invented the way. Sinner, do not doubt your deliverance, for God has said it. You shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. Let that be your hope in the long watches of the night, and let that hope drive you to immediate, radical obedience as you wait for the dawn.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The multitude of afflictions that press upon you seem like a flood, but the Lord is faithful and will not suffer you to be overwhelmed beyond your strength. He Himself has promised to make with the temptation a way of escape, that you may be able to endure. Do not look at the waves, but at Him who walks upon them and calms the storm. Your feeling that every five seconds something new arises is precisely the cunning of the enemy: he would have you splintered into a thousand anxious cares so that you lose sight of the one thing needful. But you must gather your scattered thoughts like a shepherd gathering his flock, and bring them all to the throne of grace. God often permits such a crowding of troubles to drive us back to Him as a loving parent, who, seeing a child wander off to play in danger, sends some fright that the child may run again to the parent’s bosom. So now, flee unto God and abide there.

That you are wearied with spiritual warfare from youth is grievous, but it is not strange. Temptation is appointed unto us, and none has yet resisted unto blood striving against sin. Yet there is no temptation that is not common to man; many others walk this same hard road. You are not alone. The vivid, disturbing dreams and the unclean thoughts that assail you especially as you lie down to sleep are attacks that the evil one multiplies when he finds you alone and unguarded. He set upon the first woman when she was apart from her husband, and he does the same to you in the quiet of the night. Therefore, arm yourself before sleep: fill your mouth with psalms and prayers, make the sign of the cross upon your forehead and your heart, and call upon the name of Jesus. Do not give place to the madness. When you entertain those sexual thoughts, you make your own mind a sewer and bring upon yourself a self-chosen frenzy that defiles what should be a temple of the Holy Spirit. Your shame is right, yet let it lead you not to despair but to a swift cry for mercy. If the enemy increases the temptation, it is only because he sees you are drawing near to deliverance. The struggle is severe, but the Captain of our salvation has already conquered. You say you had been set free before, and now you have fallen again: be not therefore cast down. The wound is reopened, but the Physician is still near. Do not hide the sore, but expose it to Him in honest confession. And above all, do not remain alone. The wolf attacks the sheep that strays from the flock. Even the Apostle Paul, in his battles, begged for the prayers of others that he might be delivered. So seek out the fellowship of the faithful; let them hold up your arms while you fight.

As for your yearning to be left alone, I understand the exhaustion. Yet consider: this perpetual neediness from others may be the very exercise that God uses to refine your patience and love. Christ Himself, when He sought solitude, was followed by the multitude, and He had compassion on them. Pray for a better ordering of your times, that you may serve without being consumed, and ask God for the wisdom to set a moderate boundary. It is not ungodly to take rest in due season; the body is a frail vessel and cannot be driven without intermission. The late nights speak of a life strained beyond its measure. Strive for a simpler schedule; cut away excess, not only in food and drink for your health, but in the day’s activities, so that your evenings may be restored to tranquility. If you must keep your jobs for now, lay the decision before God and then proceed in peace, trusting that He will guide your steps even through present difficulties. Make it your ambition to live quietly and peaceably with your coworkers, as much as lies in you.

Concerning your family’s sickness, your cats’ health, your diet, and your friend’s many ailments: the Lord cares for all His creation. Cast these cares upon Him, for He cares for you. Yet do not let the worry for cats and coughs multiply your anxiety to the point where you neglect the guarding of your own heart. The enemy would gladly drape a thousand little cares about your neck to weigh you down. Pray simply and then leave the outcome to God, who feeds the ravens and numbers the hairs of your head.

For the African American community and for any people snared in false teaching, continue in earnest supplication. The word of truth must shine forth, and God will raise up laborers for the harvest. In all these things, do not imagine that you must bear them by your own strength. He who would not let Paul be crushed by the magnitude of his trials will supply you the patience and the release in His own time. The very delay in receiving full deliverance is meant to teach you to persevere and to cling to Him alone. Therefore, when the shame rises and the weariness sets in, say to your soul: “Hope thou in God, for I shall yet praise Him who is the health of my countenance.” The way of escape is already being prepared; be not moved, but stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.

You are carrying a very heavy weight right now, and it’s no wonder you feel overwhelmed. When the attacks keep coming from so many directions at once, spiritual opposition, bodily weariness, relentless temptation, family illness, job uncertainty, and the sorrow of a struggling heart, it can feel like the very air is thick with battle. But I want to lift up a truth that holds fast no matter how dark the night gets: God is faithful. He has not abandoned you. He is not distant. And He will give you exactly what you need to endure.

The spiritual warfare you’ve known since you were young is real. There are dark forces at work in the world, and they hate those who belong to Jesus. But remember that the enemy’s power is limited. His temptations and accusations can be fierce, but they are not the final word. The same Jesus who resisted every assault of the enemy in the wilderness now stands as your great High Priest. He knows what it is to be pressed beyond human strength, and He is able to help you right now. When the dreams are disturbing, when thoughts attack you as you’re trying to fall asleep, you are not helpless. God promises that He will never allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear; He always provides a way of escape. Often that escape begins by turning your mind to Him in that very moment. Speak His truth aloud. Call on the name of Jesus. He will not force you to flee, but He will open a door. Take it quickly.

The sexual thoughts and the maladaptive daydreaming are not things to hide in shame, but to bring into the light. You already see the connection: when depression presses in, the flesh reaches for an outlet, a false comfort that only makes the wound deeper. That’s exactly how the enemy works. He presents a shortcut that promises relief but actually deepens your sorrow. Sin starts in the mind, in the desire, and it gains power when we entertain it. But temptation itself is not sin. Jesus was tempted in every way as we are, yet without sin. The sin comes when we yield to the suggestion and let it take root. So the battle is fought at the very doorstep of the mind. When the thought arrives, you have a decision. Will you walk after the flesh, or will you walk after the Spirit? You’ve experienced freedom before. That same Lord is still with you. He can cleanse and restore. His mercies are new every morning. Do not wallow in condemnation, but bring your need to Him and let His light lead you back.

Depression has a way of speaking hopelessness into every corner of life. It says, “There’s no way out. Nothing will ever change.” But hopelessness is a liar. You can talk yourself out of that pit, not by pretending the pain isn’t real, but by speaking what is true over your soul. Why are you cast down, O my soul? Put your hope in God. When you recall His faithfulness, His mercies, the fact that you are not consumed though things are bad, something shifts inside. Lift your eyes, even weakly, and say, “Send out Your light and Your truth; let them lead me.” That simple turning is the beginning of change.

Your daily schedule, the late nights, the diet, the job decisions, these are not insignificant. God cares about your body and your daily bread. Ask Him for wisdom regarding the jobs, and then walk step by step. He will guide you, often in quiet ways. The same with the diet: your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. Every small act of discipline is an act of worship. And when you fail in small things, His grace picks you up. Discipline is not about self-punishment; it’s about walking in freedom.

I am joining you in prayer for your family’s health, for your dad’s recovery, and for protection over those caring for the sick. God sees your cats and your love for them. He cares about every creature. I’m also praying for your friend with fibromyalgia and all those health struggles. We trust God as the great Physician, knowing that He can touch bodies and bring relief according to His will.

And finally, you’ve asked prayer for the African American community to be set free from false teachings. That is a cry close to God’s heart. The enemy prowls, seeking to devour whole peoples with deceptive doctrines. But the gospel of Jesus Christ breaks every chain. He is gathering a people for Himself from every tribe and tongue, and the gates of hell will not prevail against His church.

You are not alone in this fight. Many of God’s people are tempted in the same ways, and together we look to Him who endured it all and came out victorious. Endure, dear one. The testing of your faith produces patience, and patience will do its perfect work. There is a crown of life awaiting those who love Him. Hold fast. He is holding you.
