Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for an end to spiritual warfare that has targeted me since I was young. Please also pray for an end to vivid, disturbing dreams that I constantly have - which sometimes are related to the warfare and sometimes are not. Please also pray for me because I'm so overwhelmed and every five seconds, there's something else going on in my life between spiritual warfare attacking me and someone always wanting something from me - I just want to be left alone. Please pray for me to have a better schedule and to stop ending my nights so late. Please pray that God would lead me to new jobs - and possibly the ability to have at least two jobs, one primary and an extra one. I am considering staying now at the jobs I currently have. Please pray for wisdom for me about this and that all issues I have with these jobs would get better for me and my coworkers. Please pray for me to be set free from maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts which I keep giving in to especially while falling asleep - and which the enemy seems to be directly increasing temptation toward. The sexual thoughts are really becoming a serious problem in my life and I'm so ashamed. God set me free from sexual sin before. I'm so sad to be falling into it again. 💔 I think because I'm struggling with depression right now, I'm using those thoughts as an outlet. Please pray. Pray that the African American community would be set free from false teachings. Pray for my entire family as we all seem to have the flu - pray that no one caring for me in my sickness would be made sicker while trying to care for me. My dad who was the first one to get sick but was getting better now seems to be coughing a lot again. Please pray for three of my cats - two who were scratching themselves too hard and accidentally caused wounds and the other who was making a strange noise with his mouth the other night but seems fine now. Pray that all my cats would be and stay healthy. I have no money for a vet and don't even know of a good one in our area. We love our pets so much. Please pray that I would stay disciplined in eating according to a diet I have to eat on due to a medical condition. Please also pray for a close friend who has fibromyalgia, alpha thalassemia, blood pressure problems, prostate concerns and asthma. Please pray for my boyfriend (and possibly other employees as well at our job where we work together) who is being given the runaround about a bonus he rightfully earned at work. Pray that I would be a suitable encouragement and helpmeet to him as we continue in courtship. Thank you.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up every burden you’ve shared, knowing that our Heavenly Father sees, hears, and cares deeply for you. The spiritual warfare you’ve endured since childhood is not unseen by God, He is your strong tower, your refuge, and your deliverer. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every assignment of darkness against you in the name of Jesus. The disturbing dreams, the overwhelming attacks, the relentless demands on your time and energy, these are not from God. He does not harass His children with fear or torment. We stand on His promise in 2 Timothy 1:7: "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."

The sexual sin you’re struggling with is a heavy burden, and we want you to know that God’s grace is greater than all our sin. The shame you feel is not from Him, it’s a tactic of the enemy to keep you isolated and defeated. But there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). You are not defined by your struggles, but by the One who died to set you free. We pray that the Lord would break every chain of temptation, that He would renew your mind, and that you would find your satisfaction in Him alone. Flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18), and run to the One who offers living water. When you are weak, He is strong (2 Corinthians 12:9-10). We also rebuke the spirit of maladaptive daydreaming, this is not a harmless escape, but a snare that keeps you from walking in the freedom Christ died to give you. We pray for discipline, for accountability, and for the Holy Spirit to fill your mind with what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8).

Your exhaustion is palpable, and we lift up your schedule to the Lord. The enemy wants to wear you down, but God promises rest for the weary (Matthew 11:28). We pray that He would order your steps, that He would give you wisdom in your work, and that He would open doors for provision. You mentioned considering staying at your current jobs, we pray for clarity and favor in those places. May the Lord remove every source of frustration and conflict with coworkers, and may He bless the work of your hands. If He is calling you to a second job, we pray for energy, opportunity, and divine connections. But above all, we pray that you would find your rest in Him, not in busyness. Psalm 127:2 reminds us, "It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones."

We also lift up your physical health, your struggle with depression, your medical diet, and the flu that has swept through your family. The Lord is your healer (Exodus 15:26), and we pray for complete restoration. We ask that He would strengthen those caring for you, that they would not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9), and that your father’s cough would subside. Your pets are also in our prayers, we ask the Lord to heal their wounds, ease their discomfort, and protect them from further harm. Even in this, we see your heart of compassion, and we pray that God would provide for their needs, even when resources are scarce.

For your friend battling multiple health issues, we pray for supernatural strength, divine healing, and peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7). For your courtship, we pray that you would be a godly helpmeet, encouraging your boyfriend in the Lord and walking in purity. The enemy wants to corrupt what God has called holy, so we rebuke any ungodly influences in your relationship. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and we pray that your courtship would honor God in every way. We also lift up the injustice your boyfriend is facing at work, may the Lord fight for him, expose any deceit, and restore what has been wrongfully withheld. Proverbs 11:1 says, "A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight."

Lastly, we pray for the African American community to be set free from false teachings. The truth of God’s Word is the only foundation that will stand (Matthew 7:24-27). We pray for discernment, for boldness in sharing the gospel, and for revival to sweep through every community.

Father God, we come before You with all these burdens, knowing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We ask for deliverance from spiritual warfare, for freedom from sin, for healing in body and mind, for provision in every area of life, and for Your perfect peace to guard every heart. We declare that no weapon formed against [this individual] shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand in agreement with Your Word. Strengthen them, Lord, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. Break every chain, silence every lying voice, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Name above every name, the only Name by which we are saved. Amen.

You’ve named so much weight all at once, spiritual attacks that started when you were young, nights invaded by disturbing dreams, the constant feeling that someone always needs something from you, and a deep longing just to be left alone. No wonder you’re exhausted. We hear you, and we’re sitting with you in this right now, not because we have a quick fix, but because you don’t have to carry it by yourself.

When the pressure piles on from every side, it’s easy to lose sight of where to begin. The spiritual warfare you’ve endured is real, and the shame that wraps around the sexual thoughts can feel like a private defeat you can’t escape. But God hasn’t walked away from you, He never leaves, even when we’ve drifted back into old patterns. The drawing toward those thoughts, especially in the fog of depression and late nights, often isn’t about desire; it’s about numbness and exhaustion seeking a counterfeit rest. The real rest, the kind that doesn’t leave you ashamed, is still held out to you.

One thing that might gently shift the tide: in those drowsy moments when the intrusive images surface, try not to fight them in your own strength. Instead, quietly turn your mind toward Christ, maybe hum a simple song of faith, or repeat a promise like, “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you” (Isa. 26:3). When the temptation surges, a whispered “Jesus, help me” is enough. You’re not trying to muster willpower; you’re leaning into His nearness. And if you can confide in a trustworthy, mature Christian woman who will pray with you without judgment, that shared courage can loosen shame’s grip more than isolation ever will.

With jobs and the schedule that keeps you up late, try to give yourself permission not to solve it all tonight. Ask the Lord for a single, clear next step, a small adjustment you can actually make this week, and trust that He will sort out the bigger picture, including your boyfriend’s situation and your desire to be a steady encouragement to him.

We’re praying now:

Lord Jesus, we lift up this dear sister. You see the warfare that has stalked her since childhood, the dreams that haunt her sleep, and the weight of everything clamoring for her attention. Shield her tonight with Your peace. Break the power of the enemy’s lies and lusts, and wash her clean from shame. Guard her dad’s health and her cats, and bring healing to her friend’s body. Grant her wisdom about her jobs and the discipline to care for her own body. Help her to rest securely in You, the only One who never demands more than we can give. In Your mighty name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The outbursts of a troubled heart, when weariness and the weight of the conflict press upon the spirit, are a sore grief when viewed in the light of calm reflection. You speak of being overwhelmed, of wanting to be left alone, and I hear in that a cry which, in haste, might question His tender care. Yet, from the depths of such despondency, the soul that knows its God will soon loathe its own fretful words. They have come from you in serious pain and depression of spirit, and now our prayer ascends that the Lord, in His great mercy, would look at them as though you had never thought them, for you do heartily abhor them and loathe yourself in His sight that you should ever have questioned His tender love and gracious care.

This warfare that has targeted you from youth, these dreams that disturb your rest and the persistent arrows of temptation, all speak of a cruel captivity. For Egypt may very fairly represent those states of sorrow and sadness, depression and oppression, into which God's people come far too frequently. And the enemy's most skilful device is to whisper that your sin has outlawed you, that God’s ear is shut and He will never move His arm to work deliverance. It is a lie forged in the pit! The prisoner is ready to be executed, but there comes to him undeserved deliverance from all punishment, for the King's own Son has borne the penalty of all his iniquities. That shame you feel in the quiet of the night, that sad falling back into old snares which you thought were forever broken, is the very moment the adversary seeks to convince you that the deliverance was never real. It is a shot aimed at your faith. Let the Christian know that his God is with him, and temptation will have little power, but when we think God has forsaken us, how easily we are tempted to adopt Satan's expedients.

You must, therefore, couple your plea for deliverance with another petition, and then live in accordance with it. The prayer is, "Lead us not into temptation." You see, God does put men into such positions in providence at times that they are severely tried. We must not for any reason desire to be afflicted or tried, but must pray, "Lead us not into temptation." But then, mark this: never go into temptation. The man who prays "Lead us not into temptation," and then goes into it, is a liar before God. You know where the temptation is found when sleep draws near and the will is weak. You need not ask the Lord not to lead you there, He has nothing to do with you when you give place to maladaptive daydreaming and those thoughts. If you must have the temptation, if so it must be, then the cry becomes, "Oh, let it do me no hurt. Let me not stain my garments." This is a battle, and deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin.

Yet, see the goodness of our delivering God! Our deliverance is accompanied with health and strength. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little things about Christ, are full of healing virtue. For these healing leaves change the life blood, affect the spirits and make the nature other than it was before. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, He said, "Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you." Pardon and healing were one! Where they have bewailed their fault, they have received deliverance. So it shall be for you. That shame, that depression you use as an outlet, must be brought to the Cross, for where we look for justification, there must we also look for sanctification.

As for the practical tumults, the jobs, the sickness in your household, the care of beloved animals, the burdens of courtship, these are the daily arena where this deliverance is worked out. You ask for wisdom; it is found in looking continually to Him. Seek not to hurry away from the scene of conflict and temptation before you have sought the heavenly silver and gold. Be more earnest after those graces than about the immediate relief of your schedule. And remember, in the smallest mercies, the very leaves are for healing. The least thing about Christ is healing. His leaf, also, shall not wither. Go, then, to His wounds for your healing, and to His death for your life, trusting that the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in His wings upon every soul in your house, upon your friend with many ailments, upon your boyfriend in his workplace trial, and upon your own weary heart. The ransom is found. Doubt not your deliverance.

A great struggle indeed engulfs you, and your spirit is battered as if by a relentless storm. Yet consider that God permits such trials not to destroy, but to draw you ever closer to His breast. The adversary strikes hardest when he finds a soul alone and vulnerable, so flee to the fellowship of the Church and to constant prayer. Let no shame hold you back from crying out to God at the very moment temptation assails you, especially those defiling thoughts that trouble your rest. The enemy inflames these because he sees your depression as an opening, but even this is a temptation common to man, and God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear, but with the temptation will also make a way of escape. That way is not to entertain the thought, but to turn instantly to prayer like a child running to a mother’s arms. Cut away all excess that feeds these fires, and pursue moderation as a healing medicine.

Your weariness from many demands is natural, and even I, in my care for the churches, often sent Timothy when I could no longer forbear from anxiety. Yet know that the enemy’s onslaught is itself a twisted proof of your faithfulness. Entrust your schedule, your jobs, and all practical cares to Him who knows your need before you ask. Whether you stay or move, seek wisdom that comes from above, and remember that your work is not merely for wages but for serving Christ. As for your dear ones, both human and animal, bring them before the Physician of souls and bodies, trusting that He who clothes the lilies cares infinitely more for them.

In your courtship, strive to be a helpmeet by encouraging holy patience and mutual supplication, especially when injustice like the withheld bonus stirs up anger. For your friend’s afflictions and your family’s illness, let your prayer be persistent: though God sometimes delays, He is only training you to persevere. The enemy marshaled every weapon against our Lord in the wilderness, and he will do the same to you, but Christ has already conquered. Stand firm, then, not in your own strength but in His, for His peace surpasses all understanding and will guard your heart. Do not isolate yourself; band together with those who can lift your arms when you grow faint. And for the community you love, pray that the light of true teaching dispels every falsehood, for the devil’s greatest traps are those that dress error in piety.

Above all, let your shame over past falls not drive you to despair but to a swifter repentance. The same God who freed you before will free you again, if you flee to Him without delay. Every temptation is an occasion to cry out, and every escape is a chance to give thanks. So press on, overwhelmed but not abandoned, for the faithful God shapes even this turmoil into a path of deliverance. May His grace sustain you in every hour, and may you find in this very trial a deeper refuge in Him alone.

The sheer volume of what you are facing, attacks that date back to your youth, unrelenting demands, physical exhaustion, and a mind under siege, feels like a wave designed to pull you under. Yet the very act of laying it all out before God is the first defiant stand against that pull. You are not being melodramatic; you are describing the real friction of a life where the enemy is seeking to wear you out.

Let’s begin with the sexual thoughts and the maladaptive daydreaming, because I can hear the shame in your words. The important thing to grasp right now is that the sin is not in the temptation itself. Temptation, even a sudden and vivid solicitation to evil, is something common to every person. Jesus Himself was tempted by the devil. The sin is born when we consent, when we yield our will to that suggestion and let it conceive. The enemy is indeed amplifying those thoughts, especially in the vulnerable moment of falling asleep, because he wants you to believe you have already lost. But God’s faithfulness is greater. No temptation has seized you that is not common to man, and He will never allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear. He always provides the way to escape. That way often feels impossibly narrow in the moment, it is the choice to turn your mind, to speak a scripture, even through gritted teeth. When these thoughts press in, do not entertain them for a moment. The escape route is to refuse them by calling on the name of Jesus and filling your mouth with the Word of God. That is the sword of the Spirit. You mentioned God set you free before; He has not changed. You are not fighting for a victory you haven’t tasted before, but from one He already secured. The depression is acting as a false refuge, a heavy fog that makes the lie of immediate escape through fantasy seem rational. But the flesh’s shortcut always leads to a deeper prison. You must ruthlessly guard your mind when you lie down, choosing to meditate on a psalm rather than the lies of the enemy.

This is directly tied to the spiritual warfare and the dreams. Physical weapons have no value in this battle. The enemy attacks the mind and the body through fear and exhaustion, often aiming to distract you after a moment of blessing or resolve, just to keep you running in circles trying to defend yourself. You do not need to figure out the origin of every dream. You need to anchor yourself in the finished work of Christ. When the harassment comes, the disturbing dreams, the constant “something else” every five seconds, you have to remember the Lord. That is the cure for the overwhelm. Like Nehemiah facing the relentless attacks and distractions of his enemies, your response must be twofold: make your prayer to God and set a watch. Pray, and then practically set a boundary. Your desire to just be left alone is a valid human need, but it can be twisted into isolation. Instead, build a defensive wall of a better schedule. God is not the author of chaos; the enemy tries to wear you out with a scattered, frantic pace that leaves you ending your nights late and drained. Setting a watch means establishing a discipline, no matter how small, where you turn off the noise and say, “This is the time I rest in the Lord.”

Your physical needs, the jobs, the finances, the diet, the sick family and pets, are not separate from your spiritual life. The same God who provides escape from sexual temptation is the One who cares about your cats and your dad’s cough. The stress of having no money for a vet is a real weight, and He invites you to cast it on Him. Regarding the job decisions, ask for wisdom to know if staying is the path of peace or if He is providing an exit. Do not despise the daily discipline of your medical diet; it is a test of patience, and patience is a quality that the testing of your faith works in you. When you are overwhelmed with the needs of others, your boyfriend, your sick family, your struggling coworkers, remember that you cannot pour out what you have not received. You will be a more suitable encouragement and helpmeet to your boyfriend when you are not utterly empty. You can pray for the bonus he is owed, asking God to bring justice into that situation, without carrying the weight of the outcome yourself.

The prayer for your community to be set free from false teachings is a plea for the light of truth to break through. False teachings trap people, often by promising freedom while delivering bondage, just as the world promises liberation through unbridled sexual passion but only delivers deeper chains. Stand firm in that truth. The enemy’s pattern is always to offer a shortcut that bypasses the cross, a fulfillment apart from God’s plan. You have been given spiritual armor for this fight, not to make you immune to the attacks, but so that you can withstand them. When Satan comes, he finds nothing in Christ, and because you are in Christ, you can refuse his attacks. Instead of letting discouragement take root over a fall, rejoice that the Spirit’s power is available to you right now. Pick up the Word again. The One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world, and He will keep you from falling as you cling to Him.
