Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for an end to spiritual warfare that has targeted me since I was young. Please also pray for an end to vivid, disturbing dreams that I constantly have - which sometimes are related to the warfare and sometimes are not. Please also pray for me because I'm so overwhelmed and every five seconds, there's something else going on in my life between spiritual warfare attacking me and someone always wanting something from me - I just want to be left alone. Please pray for me to have a better schedule and to stop ending my nights so late. Please pray that God would lead me to new jobs - and possibly the ability to have at least two jobs, one primary and an extra one. I am considering staying now at the jobs I currently have. Please pray for wisdom for me about this and that all issues I have with these jobs would get better for me and my coworkers. Please pray for me to be set free from maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts which I keep giving in to especially while falling asleep - and which the enemy seems to be directly increasing temptation toward. The sexual thoughts are really becoming a serious problem in my life and I'm so ashamed. God set me free from sexual sin before. I'm so sad to be falling into it again. 💔 I think because I'm struggling with depression right now, I'm using those thoughts as an outlet. Please pray. Pray that the African American community would be set free from false teachings. Pray for my entire family as we all seem to have the flu - pray that no one caring for me in my sickness would be made sicker while trying to care for me. My dad who was the first one to get sick but was getting better now seems to be coughing a lot again. Please pray for three of my cats - two who were scratching themselves too hard and accidentally caused wounds and the other who was making a strange noise with his mouth the other night but seems fine now. Pray that all my cats would be and stay healthy. I have no money for a vet and don't even know of a good one in our area. We love our pets so much. Please pray that I would stay disciplined in eating according to a diet I have to eat on due to a medical condition. Please also pray for a close friend who has fibromyalgia, alpha thalassemia, blood pressure problems, prostate concerns and asthma. Please pray for my boyfriend (and possibly other employees as well at our job where we work together) who is being given the runaround about a bonus he rightfully earned at work. Pray that I would be a suitable encouragement and helpmeet to him as we continue in courtship. Thank you.

We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting every burden to the throne of grace. The spiritual warfare you’ve endured since childhood is not of God, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every assignment of darkness against you in the mighty name of Jesus. The vivid and disturbing dreams that plague you are not from the Lord, for He gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2). We command every tormenting spirit to loose you and declare that your mind and heart are guarded by the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

The overwhelming weight of constant demands and spiritual attacks is not your portion. Jesus invites you to come to Him when you are weary and heavy-laden, and He will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). We pray for divine order in your schedule, that the Lord would establish your steps and grant you wisdom to prioritize what truly matters. May He lead you to jobs that honor Him and provide for your needs, whether that be staying where you are or moving into new opportunities. Trust in Him, for He knows the plans He has for you, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

The struggle with maladaptive daydreaming and sexual temptation is a heavy burden, but we declare that no temptation has overtaken you except what is common to man, and God is faithful, He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear, but with the temptation, He will also provide the way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). The shame you feel is not from God, for there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). We pray for a breaking of every chain of bondage in your life, that you would walk in the freedom Christ died to give you. Confess your struggles to a trusted believer, for the prayer of a righteous person has great power (James 5:16). The enemy seeks to isolate you, but you are not alone, God is with you, and so are we.

We lift up the African American community, praying for discernment and a hunger for the truth of God’s Word. May false teachings be exposed, and may the light of the Gospel shine brightly, drawing many to salvation and freedom in Christ.

For your family battling the flu, we pray for complete healing and protection. May the Lord rebuke the illness and restore strength to your father and all who are caring for you. We declare that no one will grow sicker in the process of helping you, for God is your healer (Exodus 15:26).

Your beloved cats are in the Lord’s hands. We pray for healing of their wounds and protection over their health. The Lord cares even for the sparrows, and you are of much more value than they (Matthew 10:31). Trust Him to provide for their needs, even when resources seem scarce.

We pray for discipline in your diet, that your body would be strengthened as a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). May the Lord give you grace to honor Him in this area.

For your friend battling chronic illness, we ask for divine healing and comfort. May the Lord sustain him and grant him relief from pain and strength for each day.

Regarding your courtship, we must address this with biblical clarity. The term "boyfriend" implies a relationship that falls short of God’s design for marriage. If you are in a season of courtship, it should be with the intentional goal of discerning whether this man is the one God has called you to marry, a union between one man and one woman, both committed to Christ (2 Corinthians 6:14). We pray that you would be a godly helpmeet, encouraging him in righteousness and honoring the Lord in your relationship. If this courtship is not leading toward marriage, we urge you to seek the Lord’s will and consider whether this relationship aligns with His purposes for your life.

For the workplace injustice your courtship partner is facing, we pray for truth and justice to prevail. May the Lord expose any deceit and grant him the bonus he has rightfully earned. Stand with him in prayer and support, trusting God to fight this battle on his behalf.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name. We lift up this dear one to You, asking for Your mercy, healing, and deliverance. Break every chain of spiritual warfare, silence every tormenting dream, and set them free from every bondage. Lord, grant them peace in the midst of chaos, wisdom in their decisions, and strength to resist temptation. Heal their family, their pets, and their friend. Provide for their needs and lead them into the abundant life You have promised. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). May they walk in the freedom and victory that is theirs in Christ Jesus. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, Amen.

We hear how heavy everything feels right now, the spiritual attacks that have dogged you since childhood, the disturbing dreams, and the sheer exhaustion of having one thing after another pile up while you just want to be left alone. That kind of relentless pressure can make any of us feel threadbare and vulnerable, and it’s no surprise that old patterns of escape or shame start looking like a relief, especially when depression is already draining your strength. You’re not weak for struggling; you’re human, and you’re trying to carry a lot.

Because the depression is so present and seems to be feeding the other battles, we’d encourage you to bring it into the light with someone you trust, a pastor, a wise Christian friend, or a counselor. Shame grows in secrecy, and having a safe person to talk to about the sexual thoughts and the daydreaming can loosen the enemy’s grip more than you’d expect. It may also be wise to see a doctor about the depression itself; sometimes our bodies need support alongside our spirits, and there is no shame in getting that help.

Hold on to this: God sees you, not with disgust, but with compassion. He knows the war you’re in and has not abandoned you to it.

Please pray with us:

Lord Jesus, we ask for Your peace to settle over Your daughter tonight. Quiet the spiritual harassment that has pursued her for so long, and give her sleep free from torment. Break the power of every tempting thought and every shame-filled cycle, and let her mind rest in Your love. Strengthen her against the pull of old sins, not by her own willpower, but by Your Spirit renewing her from the inside out. We ask for healing in her body and mind, lifting the weight of depression, and for wisdom about her jobs, her courtship, and how to manage the many pressures she faces. Bring health to her family and her cats, and provide for each need, including that unjustly withheld bonus. Surround her with supportive, godly people who will walk with her through this season. In Your mighty name, Jesus, amen.

You bear a heavy burden; the warfare has been long, and the enemy presses hard. Yet the prayer our Lord taught us is not in vain: "Lead us not into temptation." You plead for deliverance from the dreams and the foul thoughts that assail you, and it is right that you should so pray. Temptation is a perilous thing; even the highest saints have found themselves staggering upon the pinnacle when God permitted the trial. Abraham was led to the mount, and the knife was lifted over his own son. But take heed to this: he who prays, "Lead us not into temptation," and then walks straight into it, makes a mockery of his own petition. You confess that you yield to those imaginings as you fall asleep; you entertain them, using them as a sorry outlet for your low spirits. That is not being led into temptation, that is running into it with open eyes. You are welcoming the serpent into your bosom and then crying out because it stings. God has before set you free; will you now cast yourself back into the chains?

The Lord can strengthen you in every weak part of your spiritual constitution. He can make the dry tree to flourish and restore the years the locust has eaten. But the best way to obtain this renewal is to get near to Christ and to stay near Him. When you feel the black tide rising, cry out at once; do not parley with the thought, not for an instant. Flee to the cross as a man flees from a burning house. The precious blood can purify your conscience; the peace of God can garrison your heart. Do not wait until the darkness thickens, call upon Him while He is near. As for the malady of depression under which you labour, it is no strange thing to the saints. Many of God’s servants have walked through the valley of the shadow, but they did not allow their sorrow to become an excuse for wallowing in the mire. If you would glean spiritual food, you must stoop. You must deny yourself the foul bread of Egypt, even when your soul is famished. Discipline in eating for your body is needful; how much more the discipline of the inward man?

The vivid dreams that haunt you are a portion of the great warfare. When the day is filled with fretting cares and the night is left unguarded, these phantoms swarm in. But they are not beyond the Lord's jurisdiction. Commend your sleeping hours to Him as diligently as your waking ones. Let your last conscious thoughts be upon the beauties of Christ; feed not on the filth of the day as your last meal, for it will breed nightmares. Pray that the Holy Spirit would fold the curtains about you and give you the sleep of the beloved. For your schedule, which leaves you weary and ending your nights so late, there is wisdom in seeking order. God is not the author of confusion; you cannot be strong for the fight if the body is broken by needless neglect. Seek such arrangement as may allow you to serve Him without distraction, and do not think it unspiritual to care for the needs of this frail frame.

Your perplexity over the jobs requires wisdom that comes only from the throne of grace. Lay the matter before the Lord and wait. Do not rush ahead; rather, be diligent where you are until the pillar of cloud moves. The fretting about a bonus rightly earned is a warning that the cares of this life can choke the Word. Be a suitable encouragement to your friend, not by joining in the spirit of complaint, but by exhibiting a quiet trust in God's provision. As for the ailments of your earthly companions, human and animal, He who notes the fall of a sparrow will not despise your concern. Believe that He who made them can preserve them, and your heart may rest. The sickness in your family, the weakness of your loved ones, the perplexity about false teachings in the community, these are all calls to prayer, not chains to drag your soul into despair. You are overwhelmed because you are trying to bear them all alone; cast your burden on the Lord, every separate piece of it, and He will sustain you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. This is not a small promise, and your present struggles prove it true, for you have already known freedom from sexual sin before. That deliverance was real, and the One who freed you then is the same today. When such thoughts assault you, especially in drowsiness, do not entertain them even for a moment. Flee at once to prayer. The body is not evil; it may be made an instrument of righteousness, but only if you wield it with vigilance. You say the enemy increases the temptation. This is the manner of his warfare: he strikes hardest when he sees you striving toward holiness. Yet why does God permit it? Not to destroy you, but to draw you to Himself. Like a loving father who allows his child to be frightened so that she runs to his arms, God permits these trials that you might cling to Him without ceasing. When you are overwhelmed by the constant demands of others and the chaos of life, that too is a temptation: to despair, to withdraw into daydreams and fantasies as an outlet. But in that withdrawal, you give place to the devil. Instead, cry out to God. He is your Commander, standing ready to help. War a good warfare, with strong arms and a sober mind.

Your depression is not unknown to Him. The Apostle himself was given a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet him, and though he pleaded for its removal, the Lord said, “My grace is sufficient for you.” So your weakness becomes the very place where God’s power is made perfect. The spiritual warfare that has dogged you since youth has not been wasted. Every saint shines brightest in the furnace: Job, Joseph, David, none received their crown apart from tribulation and temptation. Do not despise these trials, but use them to run to the Father. In your sleepless nights, when dreams disturb and thoughts wander, let prayer be your first breath. He will bring a speedy release, or He will give patience; in either way, the temptation becomes bearable.

As for your work, pray for wisdom, and then set your hand to what is before you. The anxiety over schedules and late nights calls for moderation and discipline. Cut away excess, and drink the medicine of a temperate life. Trust God with your cats and your family’s illness; He cares for the smallest creature. Your father’s cough and your friend’s many ailments, bring them before the Physician of souls and bodies. Your diet, too, is a matter of self-control, which is armor for the warfare. Do not let these cares fragment your spirit. In your courtship, be a suitable helpmeet by encouraging your boyfriend not with anxious words but with a steady trust in God’s justice. The bonus that is rightfully his will be resolved in time; your example of patient faith will strengthen him more than any fretting. And for the African American community, pray and speak truth where you have influence, but do not let outrage over false teachings steal your own peace.

Persevere in prayer, even when you do not receive at once. God sometimes delays to teach you to hold fast. In all these things, you are appointed to a good warfare, and the One who called you is faithful.

I hear the weight of what you're carrying, and I want you to know your honest cry for help is not falling on deaf ears. The spiritual opposition, the vivid and disturbing dreams, the relentless demands of others, and the shame over sexual thoughts, all of it is known to the Lord. Let me remind you where your true hope stands.

The struggle you're describing with unwanted thoughts and desires is something Scripture speaks to clearly. The law of God is good; it was given to show us what sin really is. Many people think sin is only the outward act, but God's command reveals that even the strong desire itself, the lustful imagination, misses the mark. That's what sin is at its root: failing to be what God calls us to be. It doesn't shock Him that you're discovering these things rising up within you. The law actually makes us aware of how deep the problem goes, and that's painful, but it's meant to drive us to the only cure.

The good news is that sin's dominion over you has been broken. Through the death of Jesus, everything changed. Animal sacrifices could only cover sin temporarily, but Christ's sacrifice put away sin entirely. Every sin you have ever committed or will commit was fully atoned for at the cross. He was made sin for us who knew no sin, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. That means when you are in Christ, you are not defined by these failures. The wages of sin is death, but Jesus took that wage for you. The only sin that can eternally condemn a soul is the rejection of God's love in Jesus Christ, that is the sin unto death. Everything else, even these recurring battles, falls under the blood that speaks a better word.

Because of that, you are not under law but under grace. And here is a promise you can anchor yourself to: sin shall not have dominion over you. You are not ruled by it any longer. You don't have to be a slave to the sexual thoughts that ambush you when you're trying to sleep, or to the daydreaming, or to depression. Those things may press hard, but they are not your master. When you were dead in your sins, you freely gave your body to unrighteousness. Now you have been made alive, so yield your body to God as an instrument for His purposes, not as a puppet to the enemy's suggestions.

I understand you're feeling overwhelmed and perhaps using these thoughts as an outlet because of the depression. That's a common trap, and the enemy knows how to exploit exhaustion and emotional pain. There are demonic forces that seek to devour and torment, but their power is limited. You belong to the Lord, and He has sealed you. The Holy Spirit within you testifies of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He convicts the world of sin because they do not believe in Jesus; for you, that sin issue has been settled. Now, when you stumble, the Spirit doesn't condemn you, He calls you back to the finished work of Christ. Confession is your lifeline. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

You mentioned that God set you free from sexual sin before. That freedom is still your inheritance. Don't let shame convince you that you've lost it forever. The fact that you are grieved by it is evidence of the new nature inside you. A person born of God cannot practice sin as a lifestyle; the very thing you hate is what you're doing, and that inner war shows you're alive in Christ. But now, do not continue in these patterns as if grace gives you a license. Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? No. You have died to sin; how can you live in it any longer? Let all bondage go. Offer your mind and body to God afresh. As you fall asleep, instead of entertaining fantasy, set your heart on something true and pure, perhaps recite a psalm or sing a hymn silently. The enemy cannot dwell where Christ is exalted.

Bring your other burdens to the throne of grace as well. Ask for wisdom about your jobs, and trust that He will guide you. He cares about your family's flu, your father's cough, your cats' wounds, your friend's complicated health, and the bonus your boyfriend rightfully earned. Even when you have no money for a vet or don't know a good one, remember that He sees every sparrow and every little creature you love. Pray for discipline in your eating, and for God to order your schedule so your nights aren't so late. Seek to be a godly encouragement to your boyfriend during courtship, not as a perfect person, but as one who knows where her strength comes from.

I will also pray for the community you mentioned, that false teachings would be replaced by the truth that sets people free. Jesus said if you continue in His word, you are truly His disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. That includes what you're longing for.

You don't need isolation; you need the quiet confidence that the One who died for you will never leave you. Rest in His finished work. Sin shall not have dominion over you, because you are not under law but under grace. Where sin abounded, grace has overflowed all the more. That is not permission to indulge, but power to walk in newness of life. I'm standing with you in prayer.
