Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for an end to spiritual warfare that has targeted me since I was young. Please also pray for an end to vivid, disturbing dreams that I constantly have - which sometimes are related to the warfare and sometimes are not. Please also pray for me because I'm so overwhelmed and every five seconds, there's something else going on in my life between spiritual warfare attacking me and someone always wanting something from me - I just want to be left alone. Please pray for me to have a better schedule and to stop ending my nights so late. Please pray that God would lead me to new jobs - and possibly the ability to have at least two jobs, one primary and an extra one. I am considering staying now at the jobs I currently have. Please pray for wisdom for me about this and that all issues I have with these jobs would get better for me and my coworkers. Please pray for me to be set free from maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts which I keep giving in to especially while falling asleep - and which the enemy seems to be directly increasing temptation toward. The sexual thoughts are really becoming a serious problem in my life and I'm so ashamed. God set me free from sexual sin before. I'm so sad to be falling into it again. 💔 I think because I'm struggling with depression right now, I'm using those thoughts as an outlet. Please pray. Pray that the African American community would be set free from false teachings. Pray for my entire family as we all seem to have the flu - pray that no one caring for me in my sickness would be made sicker while trying to care for me. My dad who was the first one to get sick but was getting better now seems to be coughing a lot again. Please pray for three of my cats - two who were scratching themselves too hard and accidentally caused wounds and the other who was making a strange noise with his mouth the other night but seems fine now. Pray that all my cats would be and stay healthy. I have no money for a vet and don't even know of a good one in our area. We love our pets so much. Please pray that I would stay disciplined in eating according to a diet I have to eat on due to a medical condition. Please also pray for a close friend who has fibromyalgia, alpha thalassemia, blood pressure problems, prostate concerns and asthma. Thank you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach the throne of grace. Your struggles are heavy, but our God is greater, and His power is made perfect in weakness. Let us first address the spiritual warfare you’ve endured since childhood. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against you in Jesus’ name. The Bible declares, "For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:3-4). We take authority over every demonic influence, every tormenting dream, and every attack of the enemy. We command them to flee in the name of Jesus, for He has given us power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).

The vivid and disturbing dreams you describe are not from God, for He gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2) and speaks to us in peace. The enemy seeks to wear you down with fear and exhaustion, but we pray that God would grant you restful, peaceful sleep and that He would surround you with His angels to guard your mind and heart. "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You" (Isaiah 26:3). We also pray for wisdom and discernment to recognize the enemy’s tactics and to stand firm in the armor of God, putting on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:10-18).

Your exhaustion and overwhelm are understandable, and we lift up your schedule to the Lord. Jesus Himself said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). We pray that God would order your steps and give you the strength to prioritize rest, even as you seek His guidance for your work. You mentioned considering staying at your current jobs, and we pray for clarity and wisdom in this decision. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him" (James 1:5). May the Lord open doors for you, whether in your current roles or new opportunities, and may He grant you favor with your coworkers and supervisors. If the Lord leads you to take on a second job, we pray that He would provide one that aligns with His will and does not overwhelm you further.

The struggle with maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts is a heavy burden, and we want you to know that God’s grace is sufficient for you. The enemy seeks to exploit your weakness, but Jesus is faithful to provide a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). We rebuke the spirit of lust and temptation in your life, and we pray that God would break its power over you. "Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me" (Psalm 51:10). You mentioned using these thoughts as an outlet for depression, and we want to encourage you to bring your pain to the Lord. He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We pray that you would find healthy outlets for your emotions, through prayer, worship, fellowship with believers, and even professional counseling if needed. Confess your struggles to a trusted brother or sister in Christ, for "confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed" (James 5:16). God has set you free before, and He will do it again. Do not let shame keep you from running to Him, for He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

We also lift up your concern for the African American community and the false teachings that may be leading people astray. Jesus warned us that false prophets would arise and deceive many (Matthew 24:11), and we pray that God would raise up bold, faithful voices to proclaim the truth of the Gospel. "For the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but, having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts" (2 Timothy 4:3). We pray that the Holy Spirit would open hearts to receive the true Word of God and that the Church would stand united in truth and love.

For your family battling the flu, we pray for complete healing and restoration. "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up" (James 5:14-15). We pray that your father’s cough would subside and that none of your caregivers would grow sicker while tending to you. May the Lord strengthen each of you and grant you comfort in this season.

Your beloved cats are also in our prayers. We know how deeply you care for them, and we ask the Lord to heal the wounds of the two who have been scratching and to keep the third in good health. "Are not five sparrows sold for two assaria coins? Not one of them is forgotten by God" (Luke 12:6). We pray that God would provide a way for you to care for them, whether through a low-cost vet clinic, a kind veterinarian, or even a divine provision of resources. Trust in the Lord’s provision, for He knows your needs before you even ask (Matthew 6:8).

Your medical condition and the need to adhere to a strict diet are not overlooked. We pray that God would give you discipline and strength to follow the dietary guidelines, and that He would bless your body with health. "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers" (3 John 1:2). For your friend battling fibromyalgia, alpha thalassemia, blood pressure issues, prostate concerns, and asthma, we pray for God’s healing touch. "He himself took our infirmities and bore our diseases" (Matthew 8:17). May the Lord grant him relief from pain, strength in weakness, and peace in the midst of his struggles.

Let us now pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You see every struggle, every tear, and every burden. Lord, we rebuke the spiritual warfare that has tormented him/her since childhood. We break every chain, every stronghold, and every assignment of the enemy in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against him/her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we command every tormenting spirit to flee.

Father, we ask that You would grant him/her peaceful, restful sleep. Guard his/her mind from disturbing dreams and fill him/her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Lord, we pray for wisdom and clarity regarding his/her work. If it is Your will for him/her to stay at the current jobs, we ask that You would resolve every issue with coworkers and supervisors. If You have new opportunities, we pray that You would open the right doors and close the wrong ones. Grant him/her the strength to manage his/her schedule and to prioritize rest, for You are the God of Sabbath.

We come against the spirit of lust and temptation that has been plaguing him/her. Lord, we ask that You would break its power and set him/her free from every impure thought. Create in him/her a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within him/her (Psalm 51:10). Help him/her to flee from temptation and to find healthy outlets for his/her emotions. Surround him/her with godly accountability and fellowship, and remind him/her of Your unfailing love and forgiveness.

For his/her family battling illness, we pray for complete healing. Touch each one with Your healing hand, Lord, and restore their strength. For the African American community, we pray that You would expose false teachings and draw hearts back to the truth of Your Word. Raise up faithful shepherds who will lead Your people in righteousness.

For his/her beloved cats, we ask for Your healing and protection. Provide a way for him/her to care for them, Lord, and bless them with health. For his/her medical condition, we pray for discipline and strength to follow the dietary guidelines, and for Your healing touch upon his/her body. For his/her friend battling multiple health issues, we pray for Your healing and comfort. Strengthen him in his weakness and grant him relief from pain.

Father, we know that You are a God who sees, who hears, and who acts on behalf of Your children. We trust in Your goodness and Your faithfulness. Strengthen our brother/sister in his/her inner being, and fill him/her with hope and joy in Your presence. May he/she find rest in You alone, for You are the God who fights for him/her. We declare that this is a season of breakthrough, of freedom, and of divine intervention. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We read your request and it’s clear you’re carrying a lot right now, so many different weights pressing at once. It’s completely understandable that you feel overwhelmed and just want to be left alone. We’re sorry it’s been this heavy.

The struggle with sexual thoughts and the shame that follows, please know you are not beyond God’s grace. You mentioned how God freed you before, and while it’s devastating to fall again, his mercy is still new every morning. Because you notice these thoughts come on strong as you’re falling asleep, you might try preparing for that vulnerable moment differently: keep a short, simple prayer or a worship song ready in your mind to gently redirect your thoughts. You don’t have to fight this alone either, is there a mature, safe believer you could confide in just for prayer and accountability? Even just having someone check in on you can weaken that secret pull.

You also asked for a better schedule and to stop ending your nights so late. When life feels out of control, sometimes tackling just one tiny rhythm helps: maybe decide on a set bedtime for a week and give yourself a simple wind-down routine, no screens, just quiet, 30 minutes before. That small anchor might also give your mind less wandering space.

We’ll lift up the jobs, your family’s flu, your cats, your friend, and the other burdens you named. But mostly we’ll ask God to calm the storm inside you today.

Jesus, you see every corner of this life, the warfare since childhood, the exhaustion, the shame, and the love for family and pets. Quiet the enemy’s accusations. Give this person deep, deep rest in you. Break the cycle of thoughts that bring guilt and replace them with your peace. Heal those who are sick, both human and animal, and provide for every need. Guide the job decisions and restore a healthy rhythm. Thank you that nothing can snatch your child from your hand. In your name we pray, amen.

You speak of a warfare that has hounded you since youth, of dreams that terrify and temptations that assail you in the night watches. This is no small skirmish; it is the enemy’s desperate effort to drag you back into the pit from which Christ has already delivered you. Yet hear this: God has given commandment to save you, and you shall be saved, saved from yourself, from the attacks of old sins, from the devil himself! The ransom has been found, not by your striving, but by the blood of the Lamb. When you lie down, remember that He who delivered Israel from Egypt brought them forth with silver and gold; He does not leave His people in bondage. The dreams that disturb you are arrows from the archers of ecclesiastical discord and hellish malice, but the Lord is your shield. Cry out with the Psalmist, "Lead us not into temptation," and trust that the prayer of faith will be honored. You are not left in the temptation to perish; even if the trial remains for a season, He will keep you from staining your garments.

Your confession of falling again into sexual sin and maladaptive daydreaming reveals a heart that hates the sin, and that is the Spirit’s work in you. Do not imagine that because you have stumbled, God’s ear is shut. The very plea "Lead us not into temptation" is your weapon. But mark this: you must never go into temptation. You pray to be kept from it, yet you know where it lies in wait. As you settle into sleep, that borderland where the will slumbers, you give place to thoughts you know are forbidden. You must guard that gate with ruthless discipline. You say you use these thoughts as an outlet for depression, but what a wretched outlet, to increase your misery and grieve the Holy Spirit! Flee to Christ the moment the first suggestion arises; let your mind be filled with the silver and gold of Scripture, of precious promises. Be more earnest after that heavenly treasure than about hurrying away from the conflict. He who delivered you once will deliver you again; sanctification is as much His work as justification. Look to your heavenly Father alone for it.

You are overwhelmed by the constant demands of others, longing to be left alone. This cry rises from a soul worn thin by the din of battle. Yet remember, your times are in His hand. Even your schedule, late nights, and fractured rest are permitted by Providence; but you may and must pray for wisdom to order your days. Does not the Saviour teach us to pray for daily bread, which includes bodily strength and wise stewardship of time? Entreat Him to lead you into a more quiet flow of hours, that you may serve without being crushed. And as for the many pressing cares, your family’s sickness, your cats’ wounds, your financial straits, your diet, your friend’s afflictions, spread them all before the mercy seat. He who marks the sparrow’s fall cares for these little ones. Bring every coughing father, every scratching cat, every anxious thought about jobs, and lay them at His feet. "He brought them forth also with silver and gold", He will supply your needs, though the way be dark. If you must stay in your present employments or seek new ones, wait on Him; He will make the path plain. Do not be hasty.

Your prayer for the African American community to be loosed from false teaching touches a great desire of our own heart. There is no deliverance from the power of darkness but by the truth of the gospel, and we must labour in prayer and witness that they may be translated into the kingdom of God’s dear Son. For your own family, both the household of blood and the household of faith, trust that He who smote Egypt for Israel’s sake can rebuke this sickness. And in all these things, prepare your song of deliverance. When He brings you out, you shall not die but live, and declare the works of the Lord. Your present troubles will become the matter of your testimony. What does the man know of the sea who has only walked on the beach? After your deliverance, tell of His faithfulness; it will be sweeter than the honeycomb.

Go now, and fight on your knees. Utter again that cry, "Lead us not into temptation." Look to the risen Christ who ever lives to intercede. He will bring you forth with health and strength, and there shall not be one feeble person among your tribes, no, not even in your pets’ small bodies or your friend’s weary frame. Wait for the Lord, be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart.
