Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for an end to spiritual warfare that has targeted me since I was young. Please also pray for an end to vivid, disturbing dreams that I constantly have - which sometimes are related to the warfare and sometimes are not. Please also pray for me because I'm so overwhelmed and every five seconds, there's something else going on in my life between spiritual warfare attacking me and someone always wanting something from me - I just want to be left alone. Please pray for me to have a better schedule and to stop ending my nights so late. Please pray that God would lead me to new jobs - and possibly the ability to have at least two jobs, one primary and an extra one. I am considering staying now at the jobs I currently have. Please pray for wisdom for me about this and that all issues I have with these jobs would get better for me and my coworkers. Please pray for me to be set free from maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts which I keep giving in to especially while falling asleep - and which the enemy seems to be directly increasing temptation toward. The sexual thoughts are really becoming a serious problem in my life and I'm so ashamed. God set me free from sexual sin before. I'm so sad to be falling into it again. 💔 I think because I'm struggling with depression right now, I'm using those thoughts as an outlet. Please pray. Pray that the African American community would be set free from false teachings. Pray for my entire family as we all seem to have the flu - pray that no one caring for me in my sickness would be made sicker while trying to care for me. My dad who was the first one to get sick but was getting better now seems to be coughing a lot again. Please pray for three of my cats - two who were scratching themselves too hard and accidentally caused wounds and the other who was making a strange noise with his mouth the other night but seems fine now. Pray that all my cats would be and stay healthy. I have no money for a vet and don't even know of a good one in our area. We love our pets so much. Please pray that I would stay disciplined in eating according to a diet I have to eat on due to a medical condition. Please also pray for a close friend who has fibromyalgia, alpha thalassemia, blood pressure problems and asthma. Thank you.

We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach the throne of grace. Your struggles are heavy, but the Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We recognize the spiritual warfare you are facing, and we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, for the Lord is your shield and defender (Isaiah 54:17).

First, we rebuke the enemy’s attacks in your life. The vivid and disturbing dreams, the overwhelming sense of being under siege, and the relentless temptations are not from God. The Bible tells us, "For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:3-4). We command every spirit of fear, torment, and sexual temptation to flee from you in Jesus’ name. You are not alone in this battle, submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7).

We lift up your struggle with sexual sin, and we want you to know that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). The enemy seeks to shame you into silence, but God’s grace is greater than your sin. Confess your struggles to the Lord, for He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray that you would flee from sexual immorality, as the Bible commands (1 Corinthians 6:18), and that God would renew your mind and strengthen your spirit to resist temptation. You have been set free before, and you will be set free again by the power of the Holy Spirit. Do not grow weary in doing what is right, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

We also address the maladaptive daydreaming, which can be a form of escapism that the enemy uses to keep you from walking in the freedom Christ has given you. We pray that God would help you to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and that He would fill your mind with things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8). Ask the Lord to help you replace these patterns with His truth and His presence.

Your physical and emotional exhaustion is palpable, and we pray that God would grant you rest. The Lord gives sleep to those He loves (Psalm 127:2), and we ask that He would help you establish a godly rhythm in your life. Cast your cares on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). We pray for wisdom regarding your jobs, whether to stay or seek new opportunities. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). We declare that God will open doors of opportunity for you and provide for all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).

For your family battling the flu, we pray for complete healing and restoration. The Lord is your healer (Exodus 15:26), and we ask that He would touch each one of you with His healing hand. Protect those who are caring for others, that they would not grow weary or fall ill themselves. We also lift up your beloved cats, asking the Lord to bring healing to their wounds and keep them in good health. The Lord cares even for the sparrows, and you are of more value than many sparrows (Matthew 10:31). Trust that He will provide for their needs as well.

For your friend with fibromyalgia, alpha thalassemia, blood pressure problems, and asthma, we pray for God’s healing touch. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask that He would strengthen her body, ease her pain, and grant her peace in the midst of her struggles.

Regarding the African American community, we pray that God would raise up faithful teachers and leaders who would proclaim the truth of His Word without compromise. The enemy seeks to distort the Gospel, but we declare that the truth will prevail. We pray for unity, healing, and a deep hunger for God’s Word in every heart.

Now, we lift all these requests to the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We lift up our brother/sister to You, asking that You would break every chain of spiritual warfare that has bound them for so long. Lord, we rebuke the enemy’s attacks and command every spirit of fear, torment, and temptation to flee in Jesus’ name. Set them free from the vivid and disturbing dreams, and grant them peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we ask for Your forgiveness for the times they have given in to sexual temptation. Cleanse them from all unrighteousness and renew their mind with Your truth. Strengthen them to resist the enemy’s schemes and to walk in the freedom You have already won for them. Help them to flee from sexual immorality and to honor You with their body, which is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

Lord, we pray for rest and restoration in their life. Help them to establish a godly schedule and to find balance in their work and personal life. Grant them wisdom regarding their jobs, and open doors of opportunity that align with Your will. Provide for all their needs, both financially and physically. Heal their family from the flu and protect those who are caring for others. Bring healing to their cats and provide for their veterinary needs in Your perfect timing.

We pray for their friend battling chronic illness, asking that You would touch her body with Your healing hand and grant her strength and peace. Raise up faithful teachers in the African American community who will proclaim Your truth with boldness and love.

Father, we ask that You would fill our brother/sister with Your Holy Spirit, granting them discipline in their diet, joy in their heart, and a deep sense of Your presence. Help them to cast all their cares on You, knowing that You care for them. We declare that the enemy’s plans will not prevail, for You are greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Strengthen them to stand firm in their faith and to walk in the victory You have already won.

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the power of Your Word. We trust that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28), and we declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

That’s a lot to carry all at once, and we don’t want to just skim past it. We hear you.

You named several battles, but when you said the sexual thoughts feel like they’re taking over again and the shame is heavy, it sounds like that’s cutting deepest right now. Depression wears down our resistance in ways that can feel humiliating, and we’re sorry you’re in that place. But falling back into something doesn’t cancel the deliverance God gave you before. It means you’re in a hard season, not that you’re beyond hope or help. Shame pushes us into silence, and silence feeds the cycle. One thing that might genuinely help is finding someone you trust, a mature believer, a pastor, or a godly counselor, to talk with openly about the depression and the temptations you’re facing, even if it’s awkward. You don’t have to wrestle this one alone.

For the job decisions and the desire for a healthier rhythm, maybe you could give yourself permission to not figure it all out at once. Sometimes we need to ask God simply, “What’s the next small step?” and then act on that, rather than trying to settle the whole future. And if the late nights are part of the overwhelm, even a fifteen-minute shift earlier in your bedtime can be a quiet act of self-care, not a rule to beat yourself with.

We’re praying with you now.

Lord Jesus, you see the full list of needs here, the spiritual attacks, the disturbing dreams, the worn-down places inside. We ask for your protecting presence tonight and a deep, restful sleep. We lift up the struggle with sexual thoughts and the depression that fuels them; bring your cleansing, your tender mercy, and a way out. Give wisdom about the jobs, healing for the whole family and these cats, discipline for the diet, and relief for this friend. And we ask that the African American community would be grounded in your truth. Cover all that feels out of control, and hold this one steady in your grace. Amen.

The roaring of the enemy against you from your youth is a wretched echo of that ancient malice which pursued the chosen seed. Yet Christ has bruised the serpent's head, and His victory is the surety of yours. You ask for an end to this warfare and these foul, disquieting dreams, but know this, that deliverance is by divine power alone. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. Unless a supernatural power is put forth, any form of deliverance from sin and spiritual oppression is worth nothing. Cry mightily to Him who brought forth the armies of Israel from Egypt; He is Jesus who looseth the captive. Neglect prayer, and all your powers wax weak; be much in supplication, and he that is mighty on his knees is mighty everywhere.

These vile imaginations and the lusts of the flesh which assail you as you slumber, do not think them strange. Just where the sin has been, there Satan marks, and then he sends a suggestion. That malady of maladaptive daydreaming and the returning flood of sexual thoughts, these are the poisoned arrows shot into the very wounds of former sin. But the Lord liveth who restored you before. Go, and sin no more. When you confess your sin, have you not been restored? Has He not lifted up the light of His countenance? You say sorrowfully, 'I am so overwhelmed,' and it is because, like a trailing garment, that sin which most easily entangles you is tripping your feet. Beware of that sin. You have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. That depression you feel is no excuse for making sin your outlet; it is a pit into which the enemy would plunge you under pretense of relief. The only true relief is to look to Jesus, who has made one atonement for sins and forever sat down at the right hand of God. If you know sorrow for sin, you are the very one to understand the joy of sin being put away. Trust Him, sinner, do not doubt your deliverance, for God has said, 'I have found a ransom.'

Now, touch not that unclean thing. The devil would have you believe that since you are already heavy-laden, a little fleshly ease is deserved, but we dare not have the pleasure of carnal ease with the shame of spiritual illegitimacy. Let that shame drive you to the cross, not back to the mire. Christ still receives sinners; He turns lions into lambs and ravens into doves. He will deliver you from the disease which now makes you love sin, and give you a taste for holiness.

As for your earthly cares, the turmoil of work, the sickness in your household, the fret over your beloved animals, and even the discipline of your diet, these are the gleaning fields of a saint. Look on all your spiritual blessings, and even these trials, as tokens of His grace. The time when you are most pressed is the time when prayer is needed even more than in seasons of ease. Stoop low to learn contentment in every state. Whether in one job or two, seek first the kingdom, and let wisdom from above guide your steps. Your Father knows the sparrow's fall; He will not forget your cats, your frail father, or your pained friend. Cast every burden, little or big, upon Him.

Yet let no earthly affection or concern for work swallow up your spiritual hunger. Remember, the only bread that truly quickens is Christ received spiritually. All that our flesh can do or suggest assists nothing in salvation. Be diligent to carve out order in your days, ending your nights not in vain fancies but in prayer and simple trust, like a weaned child. Let the witness of a disciplined life condemn the world's folly, for the saints shall judge angels. Quietness of soul is found not in being left alone by men, but in leaving your guilt-wracked soul alone with Jesus, who saith, 'Thy sins are forgiven thee.' Stand fast in that liberty, and let no yoke of false teaching or priestcraft be upon you. Thus strengthened, shall you walk erect in God-given freedom.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The enemy surrounds you with terrors, disturbing your sleep and stirring up vile thoughts, because he sees you alone, isolated in your mind, cut off from the armor of fellowship. Do not give him that advantage. When you withdraw into yourself, you hand him a foothold. Seek out the assembly of the faithful, cling to the brethren, and let no shame keep you silent. A sin concealed festers; confessed, it begins to wither. You already know the sting that chastens the soul, for you have tasted deliverance before. God did not set you free only to abandon you now. Flee from those lustful daydreams as you would from a fire kindling in your own bedchamber. They are not an outlet for your sorrow but a sewer that deepens it. The conscience that shames you is itself a mercy, a whip to drive you back to Christ. And know this: the devil redoubles his attacks when he senses weariness and depression. But the Lord who rescued Paul from the lion’s mouth will rescue you from every evil work, not necessarily by removing the trial, but by giving you strength to despise it and to resist sin even to the shedding of blood.

Your longing to be left alone is itself a snare. The soul overwhelmed by cares seeks to bury itself alive, but that is not peace; it is the paralysis of despair. Take up the vigor of soul that belongs to a son or daughter of God. You have put on Christ; you have received the Spirit of adoption. Why then do you act like an orphan? Bring your schedule, your job decisions, your very body with its ailments, under that Lordship. Pray for wisdom about your employment, certainly, but do not imagine that a change of circumstance will quiet the war within you. The battle is waged in the heart. Whether you keep one job or two, the enemy will still prowl. Only the shield of faith and the sword of the Spirit can repel him. And do not neglect the small acts of discipline: your diet, the care of your household, your duty to your sick father and your ailing friend. God sees these things. The sparrow does not fall unnoticed, and your cats are no trifle to Him who made all creatures. Yet He permits even loved animals to suffer so that we might learn to trust His goodness and not pin our hearts to earthly comforts.

Pray too for your community, that false teaching may be rooted out. But begin in your own mind. Root out the lies that tell you sexual sin is a comfort, that depression justifies indulging images you know are deadening your soul. Christ became a curse for us to break every curse, the curse of the Law and the curse of a defiled imagination. He did not pour out His blood for you to wallow in the mire. Stand, then. He is faithful. He will not let the trial exceed what you can bear. In the very hour of temptation, call upon Him. Even a whisper, “Lord, help me,” He will not despise. I pray with you that every snare be broken, every sick body in your household restored, and your mind set firmly upon the things above, where Christ is seated. The Lion of Judah has already conquered the lion who seeks to devour you. Live in that victory.

You are carrying an enormous weight right now, and it is no small thing to see how many fronts this battle is unfolding on. What stands out first is the longevity of this warfare. When something has been hounding you since childhood, the exhaustion isn't just spiritual; it settles deep into your mind and body, into your schedule, into the way you fall asleep at night. And that weariness becomes its own terrain where temptation finds a foothold. You mentioned depression and using those sexual thoughts as an outlet. That is a brutally honest confession, and that kind of honesty is exactly where freedom begins. Sin loves to operate in shame and in the shadows, but you have brought it into the light. He who seeks to cover his sin will not prosper, but whoever confesses it will find forgiveness. You are not being cleverly devious. You are worn down and reaching for something, anything, to dull the pain or feel something else for a few moments. That is temptation capitalizing on your exhaustion.

Temptation itself is not the sin. It cannot be, because even Jesus was tempted by the devil. The sin is born when that desire conceives and you give yourself over to it. And the enemy is absolutely trying to increase that pull, especially in those drowsy moments when your guard is lowest. But you have a choice in that split second. You are not a slave. You have been crucified with Christ. Reckon yourself dead to that old pull. It does not mean the pull vanishes, but it means you do not have to obey it. Sin shall not have dominion over you. It does not have the right. It does not have the final word. So when the thought comes, call it what it is immediately, refuse to entertain it as a harmless comfort, and ask the Spirit for the strength to turn your mind another way, even if you have to do it fifty times a night.

And please hear this clearly: the grace of God is not a license to keep drifting back, but it is the very power that catches you when you have fallen. The blood of Jesus did not just cover sin temporarily; it put it away. Every sin you are ashamed of tonight was atoned for entirely at the cross. Do not let the enemy convince you that this means you should keep going. That is the lie Paul confronted head on. How can we who died to sin still live in it? You are not under law, trying to earn your way back into God's favor. You are under grace. And that grace teaches you to say no to ungodliness, not because you are afraid of being struck down, but because you have already been brought near.

These vivid and disturbing dreams are another layer of the attack, and yes, sometimes they are simply the mind processing, but you are right to recognize that some of them are connected to the spiritual opposition against you. Do not give them more authority than they have. Pray before you sleep. Ask the Lord to guard your mind and to quiet the noise, and then trust that He is more watchful than any terror in the night.

Your daily life sounds completely overrun. When you say that every five seconds someone wants something from you and you just want to be left alone, that is a soul crying out for the quietness that only God can provide. Even Jesus, with endless demands on Him, withdrew to lonely places to pray. You need to find, even in small increments, a pause where you are not responding to anyone. That is not selfishness; it is survival. Ask for wisdom about the jobs. If staying is the right path, pray that He would change the atmosphere there, both for you and your coworkers. If leaving is the way, He will open what needs to open. You do not have to figure out all the logistics tonight.

I am lifting up your family and these sicknesses. The recurrence of your father's cough and the delicate balance of caregiving while ill yourself are real concerns. The Lord sees the cats too. He cares about the small creatures that depend on you. For your friend with the long list of chronic conditions, I am asking for mercy, for manageable days, and for steady strength.

And for the deeper grief you carry over false teachings and the spiritual bondage in your community, that is a righteous grief. Continue to pray, and live quietly as a witness to the truth that sets captives free.

Where sin abounded, grace did much more abound. Not so you can stay there, but so you can stand up again and walk forward without the chain. You once knew freedom from this sin, and you will know it again. The desire of the enemy is to sift you, but Christ has prayed for you. Hold onto that tonight.
