Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for an end to spiritual warfare that has targeted me since I was young. Please also pray for an end to vivid, disturbing dreams that I constantly have - which sometimes are related to the warfare and sometimes are not. Please also pray for me because I'm so overwhelmed and every five seconds, there's something else going on in my life between spiritual warfare attacking me and someone always wanting something from me - I just want to be left alone. Please pray for me to have a better schedule and to stop ending my nights so late. Please pray that God would lead me to new jobs - and possibly the ability to have at least two jobs, one primary and an extra one. I am considering staying now at the jobs I currently have. Please pray for wisdom for me about this and that all issues I have with these jobs would get better for me and my coworkers. Please pray for me to be set free from maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts which I keep giving in to especially while falling asleep - and which the enemy seems to be directly increasing temptation toward. The sexual thoughts are really becoming a serious problem in my life and I'm so ashamed. God set me free from sexual sin before. I'm so sad to be falling into it again. 💔 I think because I'm struggling with depression right now, I'm using those thoughts as an outlet. Please pray. Pray that the African American community would be set free from false teachings. Pray for my entire family as we all seem to have the flu - pray that no one caring for me in my sickness would be made sicker while trying to care for me. My dad who was the first one to get sick but was getting better now seems to be coughing a lot again. Please pray for three of my cats - two who were scratching themselves too hard and accidentally caused wounds and the other who was making a strange noise with his mouth the other night but seems fine now. Pray that all my cats would be and stay healthy. I have no money for a vet and don't even know of a good one in our area. We love our pets so much. Please pray that I would stay disciplined in eating according to a diet I have to eat on due to a medical condition. Please also pray for a close friend who has fibromyalgia, alpha thalassemia, blood pressure problems and asthma. Thank you.

We hear your cry, beloved, and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who has already disarmed the principalities and powers and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in the cross (Colossians 2:15). The warfare you describe is real, but it is not yours to fight alone, it belongs to the Lord, and He has already won the victory. We take authority over every lying spirit, every tormenting dream, every oppressive thought, and every attack of the enemy that has sought to wear you down since childhood. In the name of Jesus, we break their power and command them to flee, for "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4).

We rebuke the spirit of heaviness that has overwhelmed you, the constant demands that drain your peace, and the late nights that steal your rest. The enemy wants you exhausted, distracted, and isolated, but God calls you to His rest. "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls" (Matthew 11:28-29). We pray that the Lord would order your steps, establish your schedule, and grant you the wisdom to prioritize what truly matters. May He open doors of opportunity for new employment, whether one job or two, that align with His provision and purpose for you. We ask for favor with your current employers and coworkers, that misunderstandings would be resolved, tensions would ease, and your workplace would become a place of peace and productivity.

The sexual sin you confess grieves our hearts, not because we condemn you, far from it, but because we know the freedom Christ died to give you. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1), but there is also no excuse for surrendering to temptation. The enemy knows your weaknesses, especially in moments of depression or exhaustion, and he exploits them to shame you. But God’s grace is greater. We pray that the Lord would sever every ungodly soul tie, break every chain of lust, and fill your mind with whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and of good report (Philippians 4:8). When temptation comes, we declare that you will flee from it (1 Corinthians 6:18) and run to the throne of grace, where mercy and help are found (Hebrews 4:16). You have overcome this before, and by the power of the Holy Spirit, you will overcome it again.

We lift up the African American community, praying that the eyes of hearts would be enlightened to the truth of God’s Word. May false teachings be exposed, and may the light of the gospel dispel every lie that has kept God’s people in bondage. "You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free" (John 8:32). For your family, we pray healing over each one battling the flu. May the Lord restore your father’s strength and protect those caring for the sick from falling ill themselves. We declare that no weapon formed against your household shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we thank God for His healing power.

For your precious cats, we ask the Lord, who cares even for the sparrows, to bring healing to their wounds and comfort to their bodies. You are a faithful steward of these animals, and we trust God to provide for their needs, even when resources seem scarce. May He guide you to a trustworthy vet if needed and grant wisdom in their care. We also pray for discipline in your diet, that your body would be strengthened as you honor the Lord with it (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

For your dear friend battling chronic illness, we cry out for supernatural strength, relief from pain, and divine intervention for her conditions. May the God of all comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3-4) surround her with His peace and sustain her in every moment.

Beloved, you are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. You are deeply loved by the Father, who sees your tears, hears your prayers, and is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). We pray this in the authority of Jesus’ name:

Heavenly Father, we come before You as Your children, broken but not destroyed, weary but not forsaken. We lift up our brother/sister to You, asking that You would encamp around them with Your angels (Psalm 91:11) and silence every voice of the enemy. Lord, break the chains of spiritual warfare, disturb the plans of the evil one, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Deliver them from every tormenting dream and fill their nights with restful sleep.

Father, we ask for Your wisdom to order their days. Show them which jobs to pursue, which to release, and how to steward their time wisely. Provide for their needs abundantly, so they may lack no good thing (Psalm 34:10). We declare freedom from maladaptive daydreaming and every impure thought. Cleanse their mind, Lord, and renew it by Your Word (Romans 12:2). Let no temptation overtake them, but provide the way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Heal their family, Lord. Touch their bodies with Your healing hand and restore their strength. Protect those caring for them, and let no sickness linger. For their pets, we ask for Your healing touch, bind up their wounds and grant them long, healthy lives. Strengthen our brother/sister to walk in discipline with their diet, and pour out Your grace when they stumble.

For their friend, we ask for Your healing virtue to flow through her body. Ease her pain, stabilize her blood pressure, and breathe strength into her lungs. Surround her with Your love and remind her that she is not alone.

Lord, we thank You that You are a God who sees, a God who hears, and a God who acts. We trust You to complete the good work You’ve begun in our brother/sister’s life (Philippians 1:6). May they rise above every attack, walk in victory, and know the depth of Your love for them. We ask all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

It sounds like you are under a heavy, constant weight right now, the spiritual battle, the exhausting dreams, the demands that never let up. We hear that, and we are not going to add to the noise with a list of things you should do. Sometimes the most honest thing you can bring to God is just what you wrote: “I am overwhelmed, and I want to be left alone.” He can handle that.

One thing you said stands out to us: you see that depression is making you reach for sexual thoughts as an escape, and then shame piles on because you’ve been set free before. That cycle is painful, and the enemy loves to twist it into hopelessness. But the fact that you are sad about it, not defiant, tells us the Spirit is still at work in you. This is not about starting over from scratch; it is about turning again, even quietly, even wordlessly, back to the God who already broke those chains for you once. Even as you are falling asleep, a whispered “Jesus, help me” can become your protest against the temptation.

On the practical side, you mentioned caring for sick family while you are sick yourself, and wanting a better schedule and the right job decisions. That is a lot. It is okay to let some things be unresolved for now and to simply survive this season. For the vet, we understand the stress; perhaps a neighbor or a local church can point you to a compassionate, low-cost option when you feel up to asking. But you do not have to fix everything tonight.

We pray for you now: Lord Jesus, quiet the noise around this person. Cover their mind with Your peace as they sleep, and shut out every disturbing dream. Break the cycle of shame and escape, and draw them back to Your cleansing mercy. Give wisdom for the jobs, healing for their family, care for these cats, and relief for their friend’s body. In Your strong name, Amen.

The enemy of your soul has long sought to wear you down with these assaults, but remember that the Captain of your salvation has already won the victory. The vivid dreams, the ceaseless demands, the lashings of temptation, all these are but the dust raised by the dragnet of the adversary, yet they cannot separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus. Deliverance from sin is not a thing to be wrung from God by our own strength; it is the gift of His grace, obtained by the ransom price already paid. When the arrow of accusation flies, whether from the wicked one or from a wounded conscience, flee to the cross. There, even the foulest sin is washed away, and the peace of God, which passes understanding, is given to those who simply trust. If you have fallen, confess it at once and believe that He is faithful and just to forgive. Do not let shame keep you from the mercy seat; it was for sinners that Christ died.

As for the lustful thoughts that invade your mind especially in that drowsy hour, know that the battle is not won by reasoning with the temptation but by turning the mind instantly to Christ. The Savior is sweeter than the honeycomb; make Him your meditation. When the suggestion comes, cry out in prayer, even a whispered “Lord, help me”, and set your heart on things above. You have known deliverance before, and He who began a good work will complete it. The malady of maladaptive daydreaming and the weariness of your schedule both call for a renewed discipline of secret prayer. He that is mighty on his knees is mighty everywhere. Do not neglect the closet; there alone will you find strength to order your days and to resist the encroaching demands of others. Cast your burdens upon Him, for He cares for you, and ask for wisdom regarding your employment. If it be His will, He will open doors; if not, He will sustain you where you are.

Your body and your mind are temples of the Holy Spirit; therefore, it is right to seek the peace of a well-ordered life and the healing of your earthly frame. Pray for your family, your dear animals, and your afflicted friend, knowing that the Lord’s compassions extend to all His creatures and that He delights in the prayers of His people. But above all, set your own soul’s thirst wholly upon Christ. Hunger for a closer walk with God, hating the sin that so easily entangles, and looking to Jesus, not only as your pardon but as your power. The African American community, like every portion of Christ’s church, needs deliverance from false doctrine; pray earnestly, but let your own life be a bright testimony of the truth. You are not overwhelmed because the battle is fierce, but because you have peeked at the hosts of darkness instead of fixing your eyes upon the risen Lord. He has already led captivity captive. Rise from your despondency; the Comforter is with you. Go, and sin no more, for you are not your own. You were bought with a price. And in that truth lies your liberty.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The warfare you describe, those vivid and disturbing dreams, do not surprise me, for the enemy often assails most fiercely when we are alone and unguarded. You want to be left alone, yet that very isolation gives him a foothold. Remember how the devil confronted Christ in the wilderness, not in the crowded city. So I urge you, do not withdraw from the fellowship of the church. Gather with the faithful, for when we are banded together, he is far less bold.

You speak of being overwhelmed, every moment someone wanting something from you. These constant demands are like a deep slumber, a dream that keeps you from seeing what is truly real. The nights end late because your soul is caught in that restless sleep. Shake it off. The day of the Lord is drawing near; let us live as children of the day, watchful and sober. Put off the fantasies of this life, riches, the endless pressure to perform, even your schedule, and set your eyes on the Sun of Righteousness. When you do that, you will find a holy rhythm, not driven by every pressing need.

The sexual thoughts you give in to, especially as you fall asleep, are a drunkenness of the soul. The enemy fans those imaginations into flame, but they are not reality; they are a shadow, a passing pleasure that turns to shame. You feel the desire to be free, that very wish is evidence that the Spirit is at work in you. Do not despair, but do not coddle the sin either. When such images arise, turn your mind at once to Christ. Fill your mind with Scripture and prayer as you lie down. If you stumble, repent with tears, knowing that God receives the penitent and will crown your struggle. The law of God reveals the sin, but it does not cause it; the choice is yours. You told me once you were set free, and you can be again. The depression that makes you seek an outlet in these thoughts is a passion that would bury you alive. Resist it with vigor of soul. It is not from God that you should be crushed.

Your worries over jobs, staying or seeking new ones, are natural, but do not let them consume you. Pray for wisdom, but remember that even the highest earthly honor lasts but a moment, like a dream at night that vanishes when day breaks. Work diligently as unto the Lord, but do not imagine that these posts are your true life. If God grants you one or two jobs, receive them with thanksgiving; if not, He remains your portion.

I join you in praying for your family’s sickness, for your cats, for your diet, and for your close friend with so many afflictions. All these bodily concerns matter to our merciful God. Yet even as we ask for healing, let us hold them lightly. This present age and all its sorrows are passing away. The night is far spent; the day is at hand. So let us cast off the works of darkness, the sexual impurity, the daydreams, the anxieties, and put on the armor of light. For the African American community lost in false teachings, pray that they might wake from that spiritual sleep and see the true gospel of Christ.

Above all, do not seek vengeance on the enemy by solitary brooding. Turn your other cheek; endure, and the very act of patient endurance will win you crowns and put him to open shame as others see your steadfastness. The Lord sees every battle. Keep watching, be sober, and do not let the dreams of this life keep you from the real and abiding things. Awake, sleeper, and rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.

I am praying for you. You have named many burdens, and it is clear that you are overwhelmed. Spiritual attack, disturbing dreams, exhaustion, illness, job decisions, your pets, a struggling friend, and the weight of your own thought life, all of this presses in at once, and it can feel like you are drowning. But before anything else, I want to speak directly to the struggle you are most ashamed of: the sexual thoughts and the cycle of falling again.

You said you feel sad because God set you free before, and now you are back in it. The enemy wants you to stay in that shame and believe the lie that you are beyond help. But the law itself exists to reveal what sin truly is. Long ago, a man thought that only the outward act was sin. He did not know that the strong desire itself, the coveting, the fantasizing, was sin until the commandment said, "You shall not covet." Suddenly, he saw that sin was alive in him all along, even in his thoughts. That discovery was painful, but it was also the door to grace. The law was never meant to give life; it was meant to expose our death so that we would run to the One who raises the dead. Your awareness of this battle, even in your thoughts as you fall asleep, is not a sign that you are lost. It is the law doing its work, humbling you, stripping away excuses, and making you see your need for a Savior.

The blood of Jesus did not merely cover your sin. It put it away. There is a vast difference. The blood of bulls and goats could cover, could postpone judgment, but it could never remove the guilt or break the power. Christ's sacrifice did both. When your thoughts accuse you, and when the memories of this repeated failure wash over you, you are not supposed to look at yourself for assurance. You look at the serpent lifted up in the wilderness. That brass serpent was a picture of sin judged. Jesus was made sin for us so that, looking to Him, we see our sin already condemned and put to death. Your sin did not escape judgment; it was poured out on Him. That is why the promise stands: "Sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace."

What does that mean for the vivid, unwanted thoughts and the maladaptive daydreaming that takes you captive? It means you are not doomed to be ruled by them. When you were a slave to sin, you had no power to refuse. You were free from righteousness then. But now, having been delivered from that bondage, the Egypt of your old life, you can, by the Spirit, put to death the deeds of the body. You can yield your body to God as an instrument of righteousness. Your body is a member of Christ. It was not made for those thoughts or for that release you seek in the darkness. The enemy intensifies the temptation precisely when you are weakest physically and emotionally, in the half-awake moments when your guard is down. But even there, Christ is with you. When you feel the pull, do not simply try to fight it with your own willpower. Cry out to Him immediately. Name what is happening, and ask Him to fill that space with His presence. Replace the lie with truth. The depression makes you desperate for comfort, and the flesh offers a counterfeit; but the Holy Spirit is the true Comforter. Run to Him, even if only with a few words: "Lord, I belong to You."

Do not be deceived into thinking that because these thoughts keep surfacing, you must not be genuinely saved, or that grace gives you a license to let them linger. The question is not whether sin abounds, it does. The question is whether you will yield to it, or, by grace, yield to God. The double-minded man receives nothing, but the one who walks in the light, confessing quickly, finds that the blood of Jesus cleanses from all sin. All. You do not have to clean yourself up first. You come, you confess, and He cleanses you. As you do this, the power of that temptation will weaken because you are starving it and feeding your spirit.

This same grace covers the rest of your life. You are exhausted, your schedule is out of control, your family is ill, and you carry concern even for your cats. In all of it, God sees. He knows the load. But do not let the overload become an excuse to abandon the spiritual disciplines that keep you anchored. You ask for a better schedule; even in the chaos, guard a small, fixed time to be still before Him. Ask Him for wisdom about the jobs, and ask with an open hand. He may give you clarity to stay, or He may open a new door. Trust that He is not trying to crush you, but to teach you to depend on Him moment by moment.

I join you in praying for your family's healing from the flu, for your father's cough to subside, and for no one else to fall sick. I pray for your cats, that these small wounds and strange noises would be nothing serious, and that they would stay healthy. I understand the love you have for them and the strain of not having a vet; I ask the Lord to be their protector and healer. I also pray for your friend with fibromyalgia, thalassemia, and other complications, that God would sustain and strengthen her body. For you, I pray for discipline in your diet and for the depression to lift as you fix your eyes on Him.

As for the burden you carry for your community and false teachings, I will stand with you in that. Truth is the only thing that sets people free, and I pray for a great awakening to the pure gospel.

You are not alone. The enemy roars, but his leash is short. The One who began a good work in you will complete it. You have already passed from death to life, and that same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you. Do not be afraid to come to the light again. Do not hide. Walk in the light, as He is in the light, and you will find the power to say no to ungodliness. He has delivered you from the bondage of Egypt; now walk toward the promised land, one desperate, dependent step at a time.
