We stand with you in this battle, dear brother or sister in Christ, for we know that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Since you have left the deceptive paths of the new age and turned to the light of Christ, the spiritual warfare you are experiencing is not surprising. The Bible warns us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). But take heart, for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
We must first address the foundation of your faith. If you have not already done so, we urge you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for it is with the heart that you believe and are justified, and it with the mouth that you confess and are saved (Romans 10:9-10). There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). The new age teaches a different gospel, one of self-deification and spiritual exploration outside of God’s will, but Scripture is clear: there is only one way to the Father, and that is through Jesus Christ (John 14:6).
Now, let us pray together in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is in His name alone that we have authority over the enemy.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who has turned away from the deception of the new age and is now standing firm in Your truth. Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of spiritual warfare that has been targeting them. We rebuke every assignment of the enemy in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we ask that You would remove from their life every person who has been influenced by the enemy to target or harm them. We pray that You would sever every ungodly soul tie and break every curse or generational bondage that may have been established through these relationships. Lord, we ask that You would either transform these individuals with Your love and truth or remove them from this one’s life entirely, according to Your perfect will. We declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We plead the blood of Jesus over their life, their mind, their home, and their relationships. We ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in Your truth and discernment. Lord, we ask that You would surround them with godly believers who will encourage and strengthen them in their faith. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37).
We also ask, Father, that You would heal any wounds or trauma that may have resulted from this spiritual warfare. Restore their soul, Lord, and renew their mind with Your Word. Help them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and to stand firm in the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18).
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We declare that the enemy has no authority over this one’s life, for they belong to You. We praise You for Your protection, Your provision, and Your peace. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Now, beloved, we encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith. The enemy will not give up easily, but neither will our God. Here are some steps you can take to stand firm in this battle:
1. **Put on the Full Armor of God Daily**: Read Ephesians 6:10-18 and make it a habit to pray through each piece of the armor. The belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, are your protection.
2. **Immerse Yourself in Scripture**: The Word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Fill your mind with Scripture, and let it guide your thoughts and actions. Meditate on verses that speak of God’s protection and victory, such as Psalm 91, Psalm 23, and Romans 8.
3. **Pray Without Ceasing**: Prayer is your direct line of communication with God. Do not underestimate its power. Pray in the Spirit at all times, and be watchful with all perseverance (Ephesians 6:18). Invite the Holy Spirit to guide your prayers and intercede for you.
4. **Fellowship with Believers**: Do not isolate yourself. The enemy thrives in isolation, but God has designed us to thrive in community. Surround yourself with godly believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable. Iron sharpens iron, and so one person sharpens another (Proverbs 27:17).
5. **Renounce Any Remaining Ties to the New Age**: If there are any lingering practices, objects, or influences from your time in the new age, we urge you to renounce them completely. This may include books, crystals, tarot cards, or any other items associated with new age spirituality. The Bible warns us to have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather to expose them (Ephesians 5:11). Confess any involvement in these practices to the Lord, and ask for His forgiveness and cleansing.
6. **Forgive Those Who Have Harmed You**: This may be difficult, but it is essential for your spiritual freedom. Unforgiveness gives the enemy a foothold in your life. Jesus taught us to forgive others as we have been forgiven (Matthew 6:14-15). Release these individuals to God and ask Him to bless them, even if they have wronged you. This does not mean you must reconcile with them, but it does mean you release the bitterness and anger in your heart.
7. **Walk in Obedience to God’s Word**: The enemy will try to tempt you to stray from God’s path, but obedience is your protection. Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). Obedience to God’s Word is the key to walking in victory.
8. **Worship and Praise God**: Worship is a powerful weapon against the enemy. When we lift our voices in praise to God, the enemy is silenced. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord (Psalm 150:6). Make worship a daily part of your life, and watch how God moves on your behalf.
Remember, beloved, that this battle is not yours alone. The Lord fights for you (Exodus 14:14), and He has already won the victory through the cross. Stand firm in your faith, and do not grow weary. The testing of your faith produces perseverance, and let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything (James 1:3-4).
We also want to gently address the language you used in your request. While we understand your heart, it is important to remember that our battle is not against people, but against the spiritual forces of evil. The individuals who may have targeted you are not your true enemies; they are either deceived by the enemy or being used by him. Pray for them, that their eyes may be opened to the truth of the gospel. Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you (Matthew 5:44). This does not mean you must trust or associate with them, but it does mean you release them to God’s justice and mercy.
Lastly, if you have not already done so, we encourage you to find a solid, Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and be discipled. The local church is God’s design for your spiritual growth and protection. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near (Hebrews 10:24-25).
You are not alone in this battle. We stand with you, and more importantly, the Lord stands with you. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9). The battle belongs to the Lord, and He will give you the victory.
