We stand with you in this battle, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we lift you up before the throne of grace. The Word of God makes it clear that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Since you have left the new age and turned to the Lord, the enemy has likely intensified his attacks, for he seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
First, we must address the importance of the name of Jesus in this warfare. There is power in no other name, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). It is through Jesus Christ alone that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are cleansed from sin (Hebrews 10:19-22). If you have not already, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, so that you may be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the foundation upon which we stand against the enemy.
Now, let us pray together in the authority of Jesus' name:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who has turned away from the new age and toward You. Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your hedge of protection, that no evil would befall them, and that no plague would come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10). We rebuke every spirit of deception, confusion, and fear that has been targeting them, and we command these spirits to flee in Jesus' name (James 4:7).
Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in the light as You are in the light (1 John 1:7). Strengthen them with Your might in their inner being, so that Christ may dwell in their hearts through faith (Ephesians 3:16-17). Lord, we declare that they are more than conquerors through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37), and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We pray that You would break every chain of spiritual warfare that has been targeting them. We renounce every ungodly tie to the new age, every false teaching, and every demonic influence that may have gained access to their life. We declare that they are a new creation in Christ; the old has passed away, and behold, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). We ask that You would fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we ask that You would raise up godly men and women around them to encourage, support, and stand with them in this battle. Surround them with Your angels to minister to them and protect them (Hebrews 1:14). We pray that they would be rooted and grounded in Your love, and that they would know the height, depth, width, and breadth of Your love for them (Ephesians 3:17-19).
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We declare that the enemy is defeated, and that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We pray all these things in the powerful, mighty, and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Now, dear one, we encourage you to stand firm in your faith. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). Here is what you must do:
1. **Belt of Truth**: Gird yourself with the truth of God's Word. Study it daily, meditate on it, and let it be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). The truth will set you free (John 8:32).
2. **Breastplate of Righteousness**: Guard your heart with the righteousness of Christ. Confess your sins daily and walk in repentance, for if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
3. **Shoes of the Gospel of Peace**: Be ready to share the good news of Jesus Christ with others. Let your feet be shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace (Ephesians 6:15).
4. **Shield of Faith**: Take up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one (Ephesians 6:16). Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5).
5. **Helmet of Salvation**: Protect your mind with the hope of salvation. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth (Colossians 3:2).
6. **Sword of the Spirit**: Wield the Word of God as your offensive weapon. For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart (Hebrews 4:12).
7. **Prayer**: Pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints (Ephesians 6:18).
We also encourage you to find a solid, Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith, be discipled, and find fellowship with other believers. Do not forsake the assembling of yourselves together, as the manner of some is, but exhort one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching (Hebrews 10:25).
Lastly, we rebuke any lingering ties to the new age in Jesus' name. The new age is a deception of the enemy, and it is incompatible with the truth of God's Word. We encourage you to renounce any involvement you may have had with it, including any practices, beliefs, or items associated with it. For what fellowship has light with darkness? And what harmony is there between Christ and Belial? (2 Corinthians 6:14-15). Come out from among them, and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you (2 Corinthians 6:17).
You are not alone in this battle, dear one. We stand with you, and more importantly, the Lord stands with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). The battle is the Lord's, and He has already won the victory. Stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord (Exodus 14:13).
