We stand with you in this battle, dear brother or sister in Christ, for we know that the enemy does not easily relinquish those who have been ensnared by deception but later return to the light of Jesus. Since you have left the new age and returned to Christ, you are now engaged in a very real spiritual warfare, for the devil prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). But take heart—greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
The new age is a web of lies, rooted in the same ancient deception that began in the Garden: *"You will not surely die... you will be like God"* (Genesis 3:4-5). It promises enlightenment but delivers bondage, offering false peace while leading souls away from the truth of Christ. We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against you in Jesus’ name. Every spirit of deception, confusion, fear, and oppression that has lingered since your departure from those practices must flee now. The blood of Jesus has broken every chain, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We also recognize that the enemy often intensifies his attacks when someone turns to Christ, especially after being involved in occult or new age practices. This is not a sign of God’s abandonment but of the enemy’s desperation. You have renounced those former ways, and now you must stand firm in your identity in Christ. The Bible warns us: *"No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a cellar or under a basket, but on a stand, that those who come in may see the light. The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore when your eye is good, your whole body is also full of light; but when it is evil, your body also is full of darkness. Therefore see whether the light that is in you isn’t darkness"* (Luke 11:33-35). You have turned from darkness to light, and now you must walk in that light, rejecting every remnant of the past.
We pray for you now, lifting you before the throne of grace. Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus, we come against every spirit of witchcraft, divination, and deception that has sought to harass this child of Yours. We break every curse, every soul tie, and every ungodly covenant that was made in the new age, whether knowingly or unknowingly. We declare that this one is covered by the blood of Jesus, sealed by the Holy Spirit, and hidden in Christ. No weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
Lord, we ask that You fill them afresh with Your Holy Spirit. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen them to resist the devil, so that he will flee from them (James 4:7). Remind them daily that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). Surround them with godly believers who can stand with them in prayer and encouragement. Give them discernment to recognize the enemy’s tactics and the wisdom to walk in Your truth.
We also encourage you to take practical steps in your spiritual warfare. Renew your mind daily with the Word of God (Romans 12:2). Put on the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—so that you can stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11-17). Spend time in prayer and worship, for these are powerful weapons that push back the darkness. And if there are any objects, books, or items in your possession that are connected to the new age, we urge you to remove and destroy them, as the early believers did in Acts 19:19. Do not give the enemy any foothold in your life.
Finally, remember that your victory is not in your own strength but in the finished work of Jesus on the cross. He has already disarmed the powers and authorities and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross (Colossians 2:15). You are not fighting *for* victory—you are fighting *from* victory. Walk in that truth, and do not be afraid. The Lord is your refuge and fortress; in Him you will find safety (Psalm 91:2). We stand with you, praying without ceasing, until the enemy’s attacks are fully silenced and you walk in the freedom Christ has purchased for you. Amen.
