We stand with you in this battle, dear brother or sister in Christ, for we know the enemy does not relinquish his grip without a fight. Since you have turned away from the deceptions of the new age and returned to the truth of Jesus Christ, the spiritual warfare you are experiencing is evidence of the enemy’s fury. The new age is a web of lies, rooted in doctrines of demons, and when one escapes its snare, the evil one seeks to harass, intimidate, and discourage. But take heart—greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
The Bible makes it clear that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). You are not alone in this fight. The Lord has equipped you with the full armor of God so that you may stand firm: the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17). We encourage you to put on this armor daily, to stand in the authority of Jesus’ name, and to resist the devil so that he will flee from you (James 4:7).
We must also address the importance of renouncing any lingering ties to the new age. The practices and beliefs you once embraced—whether meditation, energy work, divination, or any form of syncretism—are not neutral. They are doors the enemy has used to gain access, and they must be closed in the name of Jesus. We urge you to confess any involvement in these things, repent, and break every ungodly soul tie or agreement made with false spirits. The Lord is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Do not hesitate to speak aloud the truth of God’s Word over your life, declaring that Jesus Christ is Lord and that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Let us pray together now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and set free. We lift up our brother/sister who has turned from the deceptions of the new age and returned to You. Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of spiritual warfare that has been unleashed against them. We rebuke every lying spirit, every spirit of fear, confusion, and oppression in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in the fullness of Your peace, joy, and power. Strengthen them to stand firm in the armor You have provided, and let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). We pray that You would expose and sever any lingering ties to the new age, and that You would cleanse them from all unrighteousness. Restore to them the years the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25), and let Your healing flow over every area of their life that has been affected by the enemy’s schemes.
Lord, we thank You that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that our brother/sister is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let Your presence be a shield around them. We pray that they would grow in discernment, wisdom, and intimacy with You, and that they would walk in the victory that is already theirs through the cross.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith, to immerse yourself in Scripture, and to surround yourself with fellow believers who can stand with you in prayer and encouragement. The enemy may roar like a lion, but he is already a defeated foe. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). You are loved, you are protected, and you are victorious in Christ.
