We hear your cry for help in the midst of intense spiritual warfare, and we stand with you in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already disarmed the powers of darkness. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Christ came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The schemes you describe—unusual harm from others, attempts to provoke unforgiveness, and even the lure of divination—are not random; they are the tactics of the enemy to isolate you, discourage you, and lead you away from the truth. But we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
First, we must address the reality of spiritual warfare with clarity and boldness. The Bible warns us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). The people you interact with, even those who profess Christ, may unknowingly be used as instruments in this battle. However, we must also be vigilant in examining our own hearts and actions. Are there areas where you may have opened doors to the enemy through disobedience, unforgiveness, or ungodly influences? The enemy cannot harm you unless he has a foothold (Ephesians 4:27). We encourage you to prayerfully ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any areas of your life that need repentance or cleansing.
We also notice your mention of warnings from God about certain individuals. The Holy Spirit is our guide and protector, and His warnings are not to be taken lightly. If God has impressed upon your heart to distance yourself from certain people or influences, it is wise to obey. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding; in all our ways, we are to acknowledge Him, and He will direct our paths. Social media can be a battleground for spiritual warfare, as it exposes us to voices and influences that may not align with God’s will. We encourage you to seek the Lord’s wisdom in discerning which voices to engage with and which to avoid. If certain interactions consistently lead to spiritual attack or temptation, it may be a sign to step back entirely.
The enemy’s goal in these attacks is to push you toward unforgiveness, bitterness, and even divination—all of which are abominations to the Lord. Unforgiveness gives the enemy a foothold in your life, while divination opens doors to demonic influence. We rebuke these schemes in the name of Jesus and command every assignment of the enemy against you to be broken. We declare that you will not be ensnared by bitterness or led astray by deception. Instead, we pray that you will walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won for you.
We also want to gently address the importance of grounding yourself in the truth of God’s Word. In times of spiritual warfare, it is easy to become consumed by the attacks and lose sight of God’s promises. But the Bible tells us that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). We encourage you to saturate your mind with Scripture, to worship the Lord in spirit and truth, and to surround yourself with godly community that can stand with you in prayer and encouragement.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name by which every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. We lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your hedge of protection, that no weapon formed against them would prosper. We break every assignment of the enemy against their life, every scheme to provoke unforgiveness, every attempt to lead them into divination or deception. We declare that they are covered by the blood of Jesus, and no evil shall befall them, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10).
Father, we ask that You would give them discernment to recognize the enemy’s tactics and wisdom to walk in obedience to Your voice. Where they have opened doors to the enemy through disobedience or ungodly influences, we ask that You would reveal those areas and lead them in repentance. Cleanse their heart, Lord, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. We pray that they would be rooted and grounded in Your love, that they would know the height, depth, width, and breadth of Your love for them, and that they would be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:17-19).
Lord, we ask that You would raise up godly community around them—believers who will stand with them in prayer, speak truth into their life, and encourage them in their walk with You. We pray that they would not be isolated or discouraged but would find strength in the body of Christ. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37), and that no power of hell can prevail against the authority they have in Jesus Christ.
We also pray for those who have been used as instruments in this spiritual warfare. Lord, we ask that You would open their eyes to the truth, that they would repent of any involvement in the enemy’s schemes, and that they would be set free from any deception or bondage. We pray that Your light would shine in their hearts and that they would turn to You with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would fill our brother/sister with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and let them rest in the assurance that You are in control. We thank You for the victory that is already theirs in Jesus Christ, and we declare that the enemy’s plans will not succeed. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is with you and that He has already given you the victory. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9). Continue to seek Him in prayer, immerse yourself in His Word, and surround yourself with believers who can support and encourage you. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He will fight for you.
