Spiritual warfare

Dhitlor

Humble Servant of All
Please pray for me about spiritual warfare that has been targeting me most of my life. I'm really struggling underneath the weight of it and honestly even becoming suicidal. And Satan attacks me harder as God makes progress in my life. Thank you.

We hear your cry for help, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus against the spiritual warfare that has been raging in your life. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). You are not alone in this battle, and the Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Let us come together in prayer and rebuke the forces of darkness that have been tormenting you.

First, we must address the seriousness of your struggle with suicidal thoughts. These are not from God, for He has plans for you—plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus is the Good Shepherd who lays down His life for His sheep (John 10:10-11). We rebuke the spirit of death and despair in the name of Jesus and command it to flee from you. You are precious in God’s sight, and He has a purpose for your life that the enemy cannot thwart.

We also recognize that the enemy attacks harder when God is moving in your life. This is a sign that you are a threat to the kingdom of darkness, and the devil is trying to discourage and derail you. But take heart, for Jesus has already overcome the world (John 16:33). The apostle Paul reminds us that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Therefore, we must put on the whole armor of God so that we may stand firm against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister who is under intense spiritual attack. Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your hedge of protection and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We rebuke every spirit of suicide, despair, oppression, and torment in the name of Jesus and command them to leave this precious one alone. You are the God who delivers, and we trust in Your power to set the captive free (Isaiah 61:1).

Father, we pray that You would strengthen their faith and remind them of Your unfailing love. Help them to resist the devil, so that he will flee from them (James 4:7). Clothe them with the full armor of God—the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word (Ephesians 6:13-17). May they stand firm in Your truth and not be shaken by the lies of the enemy.

Lord, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who is our Comforter and Helper (John 14:26). Give them the strength to endure this battle, knowing that You are with them and will never leave nor forsake them (Deuteronomy 31:6). Remind them that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in them (Romans 8:18). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we also pray for a fresh revelation of Your love and purpose for their life. Help them to see themselves through Your eyes—as Your beloved child, redeemed by the blood of Jesus. May they find their identity in Christ and not in the lies of the enemy. Surround them with godly believers who can encourage and support them in this battle. Provide them with the resources and help they need to walk in victory.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and declare that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We seal this prayer in the precious blood of Jesus and ask that You would bring breakthrough, healing, and deliverance to our brother/sister. May they experience Your peace and joy as they walk in the freedom that Christ has won for them. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith and not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). The battle you are facing is real, but the victory is already won through the cross of Christ. Here are some practical steps to help you in this spiritual warfare:

1. **Stay in the Word**: The Bible is your sword, and it is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Meditate on Scripture daily, especially verses that speak of God’s protection, love, and victory. Some key passages include Psalm 91, Ephesians 6:10-18, and 2 Corinthians 10:3-5.

2. **Pray Without Ceasing**: Prayer is your lifeline to God. Pray in the Spirit at all times, with all kinds of prayers and requests (Ephesians 6:18). Do not underestimate the power of prayer to break the chains of the enemy.

3. **Worship and Praise**: The enemy hates when we worship God, for it shifts our focus from our problems to God’s power. Worship is a weapon of warfare (Psalm 8:2). Put on worship music and lift your voice in praise, even when you don’t feel like it.

4. **Fellowship with Believers**: Do not isolate yourself. The enemy wants to cut you off from the body of Christ, but iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). Surround yourself with godly believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable.

5. **Renounce Any Footholds**: The enemy gains access to our lives through sin, unforgiveness, or ungodly soul ties. Examine your heart and renounce any areas where you may have given the enemy a foothold. Confess your sins to God and receive His forgiveness (1 John 1:9). Forgive those who have hurt you, as unforgiveness gives the enemy a legal right to torment you (Matthew 6:14-15).

6. **Declare God’s Promises**: Speak God’s Word over your life daily. Declare that you are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37). Proclaim that the enemy has no power over you because you are covered by the blood of Jesus.

7. **Seek Professional Help if Needed**: If your struggle with suicidal thoughts is overwhelming, do not hesitate to seek help from a trusted pastor, counselor, or mental health professional. God can use these resources to bring healing and support.

Remember, the battle belongs to the Lord (1 Samuel 17:47). You are not fighting for victory; you are fighting from victory. Jesus has already disarmed the powers and authorities and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross (Colossians 2:15). Stand firm in His victory, and do not let the enemy steal your joy, peace, or purpose. You are a child of the Most High God, and He is fighting for you. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and run the race set before you with endurance. The enemy may attack, but he cannot destroy what God has begun in you. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world!

Dear friend, we're here with you, holding you up in prayer. We know the weight you're carrying, and we want you to know that you're not alone. The enemy may be raging, but our God is greater. We're claiming Psalm 34:18 over you, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

We've been praying for you, and we want to encourage you with these words from 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."

We're asking God to fill you with His comfort, to wrap you in His love, and to remind you of your worth in His eyes. We're declaring that the spirit of suicide and despair will flee from you, and that God's peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We're also praying for God to strengthen you and give you the power to stand against the enemy's attacks. We're claiming Ephesians 6:10-11 over you, "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes."

We're asking God to fill you with His Holy Spirit, to guide you, and to give you the strength to endure this battle. We're declaring that no weapon formed against you will prosper, and that every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you will condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

We're also praying for God to reveal Himself to you in a fresh way. We're asking Him to remind you of His love for you, and to help you see yourself through His eyes.

We're here for you, dear friend. We're fighting this battle alongside you, and we're believing for your victory. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and remember that He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

Let's keep praying together, and let's keep standing firm in our faith. We're believing for breakthrough, healing, and deliverance in your life. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
