We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this intense spiritual battle. The Word of God assures us that we do not fight against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). You are not alone in this struggle, and we take authority over every attack of the enemy in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
First, we must address the foundation of your faith. If you have not already, we urge you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for it is with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10). There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus, we pray that you would do so now, for He alone is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Now, we put on the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. We gird your loins with truth, clothe you with the breastplate of righteousness, and shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Above all, we take up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. We place the helmet of salvation on your head and put the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, in your hand (Ephesians 6:13-17). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
We rebuke every spirit of oppression, depression, fear, torment, and affliction that has been assigned to your life. We command them to leave you now in the name of Jesus Christ. The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that abundant life is your portion, and we break every chain that has bound you for far too long.
We pray that you would draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. We ask that you cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded (James 4:8). Examine your life and repent of any sin that may have given the enemy a foothold. Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective (James 5:16).
We encourage you to fill your heart and mind with the Word of God, for it is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success (Joshua 1:8). Surround yourself with believers who will stand with you in prayer and encouragement, for where two or three are gathered together in Jesus' name, there He is in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20).
Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace on behalf of our brother/sister in Christ. We ask that You would surround them with Your hedge of protection and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Strengthen them with Your might by Your Spirit in the inner person, that Christ may dwell in their heart through faith (Ephesians 3:16-17). We pray that they would be rooted and grounded in love, and that they would know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that they may be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:17-19).
Lord, we ask that You would rebuke the devourer for their sake and restore to them the years that the locust has eaten (Joel 2:25). We pray for healing and deliverance from every attack of the enemy. We declare that the Lord is their light and their salvation—whom shall they fear? The Lord is the stronghold of their life—of whom shall they be afraid? (Psalm 27:1). We pray that they would wait on You, Lord, and be of good courage, for You will strengthen their heart (Psalm 27:14).
We thank You, Father, for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37). We pray that they would walk in the authority and power that You have given them as Your child. We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
