We hear your cry for deliverance and stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have access to the Father and through whom we find victory over the powers of darkness. The spiritual warfare you describe is real, and the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we serve a God who came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The struggles you face—maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate thoughts—are not merely personal failings but often the result of spiritual oppression that seeks to distort God’s design for your mind and heart.
First, we must address the foundation of your faith. If you have not already, we urge you to confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation is the starting point for true freedom, as it breaks the power of sin and transfers us from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of God’s beloved Son (Colossians 1:13-14). If you have not surrendered your life to Christ, we pray that you would do so today, repenting of any sin and inviting Him to reign in your heart.
For the spiritual warfare you’ve endured since childhood, we rebuke every assignment of the enemy against you in Jesus’ name. The Bible tells us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). We take up the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—to stand firm against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:13-17). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
We also address the issue of maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate thoughts. These patterns often take root when the mind is not fully submitted to Christ and when we entertain fantasies or thoughts that do not align with God’s Word. The Bible instructs us to take every thought captive to obey Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and to set our minds on things above, not on earthly things (Colossians 3:2). We must guard our hearts, for out of them flow the springs of life (Proverbs 4:23). If these thoughts involve sexual immorality, lust, or any form of sin, we urge you to repent and turn away from them, for God calls us to purity and holiness (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5). Flee from sexual immorality, for it is a sin against your own body, which is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20).

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name. We lift up our brother/sister who is enduring spiritual warfare and struggling with thoughts that do not honor You. Lord, we ask that You break every chain of oppression, every assignment of the enemy, and every stronghold in their mind. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of truth, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we pray for deliverance from maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate thoughts. Renew their mind according to Your Word (Romans 12:2) and help them to take every thought captive to obey Christ. Give them the strength to resist the devil, so that he will flee from them (James 4:7). Surround them with godly accountability and fellowship, so they are not isolated in this battle. Fill their mind with whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—let them think about such things (Philippians 4:8).
Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that accuses them You will silence. We speak life, freedom, and victory over them in Jesus’ name. Strengthen them with power through Your Spirit in their inner being, so that Christ may dwell in their heart through faith (Ephesians 3:16-17). May they know the height, depth, width, and breadth of Your love, which drives out all fear and darkness.
We thank You, Father, for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We stand on Your promises and declare that the enemy has no hold over this child of God. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to immerse yourself in Scripture, for the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Meditate on it day and night, and let it transform your mind. Seek out a Bible-believing church where you can grow in faith and find support from fellow believers. The battle you face is spiritual, but the victory is already won through Christ. Stand firm, resist the devil, and draw near to God, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8).
