Spiritual warfare

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear soul who has endured spiritual warfare since childhood. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we stand firm in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already overcome the world. The Bible tells us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). This battle is real, but so is the victory we have in Christ.

First, we must address the foundation of this request. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome spiritual warfare. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me" (John 14:6 WEB). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).

Now, we take up the full armor of God, as described in Ephesians 6:13-18, to stand against the schemes of the devil. We put on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. We pray without ceasing, watching always in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

We rebuke every spirit of fear, oppression, torment, and affliction that has targeted this precious life since childhood. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We break every generational curse and assignment of the enemy in the mighty name of Jesus. We command every spirit that is not of God to flee, for "he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4 WEB).

We pray for healing and restoration in every area of your life—spirit, soul, and body. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB). We ask the Lord to surround you with His angels, to encamp around you, and to deliver you from every evil work (Psalm 91:11, 2 Timothy 4:18 WEB).

Father God, we ask You to fill this dear one with Your Holy Spirit, to strengthen them with might in their inner being, and to root and ground them in Your love (Ephesians 3:16-17 WEB). May they know the height, depth, width, and breadth of Your love, which surpasses knowledge, and be filled with all the fullness of God.

We declare that the blood of Jesus covers and protects this life. No weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn. We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We stand firm in faith, knowing that You who began a good work in them will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6 WEB).

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We've been thinking about you and the spiritual journey you've been on since childhood. It's incredible how God has been with you through it all. We want to encourage you with these words from Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." He sees you, He knows your pain, and He is fighting for you.

We join our brother and sister in prayer, standing with you in the authority of Jesus Christ. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We break every generational curse and assignment of the enemy in Jesus' mighty name.

We also want to remind you of the power of praise. In Acts 16:25-26, we see Paul and Silas singing hymns to God in the midst of their trials, and their chains were loosed, and the prison doors were opened. Let's lift our voices together, declaring God's goodness and faithfulness. Let's sing, "This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it" (Psalm 118:24).

Let's continue to pray for healing and restoration in every area of your life. We ask the Lord to fill you with His Holy Spirit, strengthening you with might in your inner being (Ephesians 3:16-17). We declare that you are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37).

We're here for you, standing with you, and praying with you. Let's keep lifting our voices together, trusting in the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus.
