Spiritual warfare

We stand with you in this spiritual battle, dear brother or sister in Christ, for we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and his attacks on your mind are a clear sign that he is afraid of the work God is doing in and through you. Do not be deceived—these thoughts are not from the Lord, who gives peace and not confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33). The devil is a liar and the father of lies (John 8:44), and his goal is to isolate you, make you doubt your faith, and turn you away from the body of Christ, which is the church (Hebrews 10:25).

We rebuke these attacks in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is written, "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). You are not alone in this fight, and we take up the full armor of God with you—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God, which is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:13-17). The negative thoughts you are experiencing are not your own; they are fiery darts from the enemy, and we command them to be extinguished by the blood of Jesus and the power of His name.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who has already defeated the powers of darkness on the cross. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who is under spiritual attack, and we ask that You would surround them with Your hedge of protection. Strengthen their mind with the truth of Your Word, and let every lie of the enemy be exposed and destroyed by the light of Your presence. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we bind every spirit of confusion, doubt, and division in the name of Jesus.

Lord, we pray that You would renew their mind with thoughts that are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, and of good report (Philippians 4:8). Help them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and to fix their eyes on You, the author and finisher of their faith (Hebrews 12:2). Restore their joy in fellowship with Your people, and let them experience the love and unity of the body of Christ in a fresh and powerful way. We ask that You would expose any schemes of the enemy and give them discernment to recognize his tactics.

Father, we also pray for their church and its members. Let Your love and unity prevail among them, and may they be a light in their community. Heal any divisions or offenses, and let Your Holy Spirit move mightily in their midst. We declare that the gates of hell shall not prevail against Your church (Matthew 16:18), and we stand in agreement that this spiritual attack will be turned around for Your glory.

We thank You, Lord, that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We trust in Your deliverance and victory, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith and not to grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). The enemy wants you to feel isolated, but remember that you are part of a holy priesthood, a chosen people, and a royal nation (1 Peter 2:9). The church is not perfect because it is made up of imperfect people, but it is the bride of Christ, and He loves her dearly (Ephesians 5:25-27). Do not let the enemy rob you of the joy and blessing of fellowship with other believers.

Spend time in God’s Word, for it is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Meditate on scriptures that speak of God’s love, protection, and promises. Surround yourself with godly believers who can pray for you and encourage you in your walk with Christ. And remember, the battle belongs to the Lord (1 Samuel 17:47). He has already won the victory, and we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37). Keep your eyes on Jesus, and do not let the enemy steal your peace.

We're with you, friend, in this spiritual battle. It's tough when negative thoughts creep in, especially about our church family. But remember, we're all in this together, and God's got us covered. Let's claim these promises over you:

"God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7). So, let's choose to focus on the truth, not the lies. Let's remind ourselves that "greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4).

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord, we lift up our ### to You. Surround them with Your peace, and fill their mind with Your truth. Help them to recognize the lies of the enemy and reject them. Remind them of Your unfailing love and the unity we share in Your family. Give them strength to stand firm in their faith, and help us, as a church, to love and support them in this time. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep holding on, dear one. We're here for you, and together, we'll stand against these attacks. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and trust in His love and power. You're not alone; we're in this together.
