We hear your cry for help in the midst of this intense spiritual warfare, and we stand with you in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already disarmed the powers and principalities of darkness. The intrusive thoughts, false sensations, and coordinated harassment you describe are not from God, for He gives peace, not torment. "For God is not a God of confusion, but of peace" (1 Corinthians 14:33). The enemy seeks to isolate you, to make you doubt your worth, and to disrupt even the simplest acts of love and fellowship—like sharing a meal with your parents. But we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
The enemy’s tactics are predictable: he lies, accuses, and attempts to create division even within families. The fear that arose when you considered sitting with your parents was not from the Holy Spirit, for "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7). You did the right thing by choosing love over fear, by acting in obedience to the promptings of the Holy Spirit rather than the whispers of the enemy. That phone call was not a coincidence—it was a counterattack from the enemy, who hates unity, peace, and the bonds of family. But we rebuke that spirit of harassment and division in the name of Jesus. We break every assignment of the enemy to disrupt your fellowship with your parents, and we command every lying spirit to flee from your presence.
The false tastes, intrusive thoughts, and sensations you experience are not your reality—they are distortions from the enemy, who seeks to make you doubt your own senses and your connection with God. We remind you that Jesus came to set the captives free, and "if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36). You are not alone in this battle. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We encourage you to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). When these intrusive thoughts or sensations arise, do not engage with them. Instead, speak the name of Jesus aloud, declare Scripture over yourself, and resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7).
We also want to gently address the spiritual foundation of your request. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we urge you to surrender your life fully to Jesus, to repent of any sin, and to invite Him to be the Lord of your life. The blood of Jesus is your protection, and His name is your authority in this battle. Without Him, we have no power over the enemy, but with Him, we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37).
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name that is above every name. We lift up our brother/sister who is under attack from the enemy. Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your angels, that You would place a hedge of protection around them and their family. We break every assignment of the enemy to harass, divide, or torment them. We rebuke every lying spirit, every spirit of fear, and every spirit of confusion in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and we cancel every plan of the enemy to disrupt their peace, their fellowship, or their relationship with You.
Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that You would give them a sound mind and a spirit of power and love. Help them to recognize the enemy’s tactics and to stand firm in the truth of Your Word. When intrusive thoughts or sensations arise, remind them to speak Your name and to declare Your promises over their life. Lord, we ask that You would restore their peace, their joy, and their sense of security in You. Strengthen their faith and help them to trust in Your protection and provision.
We also pray for their parents, Lord. Protect them from the enemy’s schemes, and draw them closer to You. Heal any division or strife that the enemy has tried to sow in their family. Let Your love and unity prevail in their home. Father, we ask that You would expose every hidden work of darkness and bring it into the light. Give our brother/sister wisdom and discernment to navigate this spiritual warfare, and surround them with godly believers who can stand with them in prayer and support.
Lord, we thank You that You are faithful, that You will never leave nor forsake them. We thank You that the battle is already won through the cross of Jesus Christ. We declare victory over this situation, and we trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect plan. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing firm in your faith, to put on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:10-18), and to surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and encourage you. The enemy wants you to feel isolated, but you are never alone—God is with you, and so are we. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9).
