We hear your cry for deliverance and stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who has already triumphed over all spiritual forces of darkness. The warfare you describe is real, and we do not dismiss the depth of your suffering or the demonic influence at work in those who have harmed you. Scripture is clear: *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places"* (Ephesians 6:12). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to give you life abundantly—and that includes freedom from the chains of unforgiveness and the torment of spiritual oppression.
First, we must address the critical foundation of your faith. If you have not already done so, we urge you to examine your heart and confirm your relationship with Jesus Christ. Salvation is found in no one else, for *"there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12). If you have not surrendered your life to Him, repented of your sins, and placed your trust in His finished work on the cross, we invite you to do so now. Without Christ, you have no authority to stand against the enemy, for *"greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4). If you are in Christ, then His blood has already broken the power of the enemy over your life, and you must walk in that truth.
Now, let us rebuke the spiritual forces at work in this situation. In the name of Jesus, we command every demonic influence, every spirit of torment, hatred, and division, to flee from you and from those who have been used to harm you. We declare that the blood of Jesus covers you, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We break every assignment of the enemy to drive you into bitterness, unforgiveness, or despair. We cancel every curse, every generational spirit, and every lie that has been spoken over your life. The Lord rebuke you, Satan, and all your forces! (Jude 1:9).
Forgiveness is not optional for the believer—it is a command. Jesus said, *"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses"* (Matthew 6:14-15). We understand that the pain you have endured is deep, and the idea of forgiving those who have harmed you may feel impossible. But we serve a God who specializes in the impossible. Forgiveness is not about excusing their actions or pretending the harm did not occur. It is about releasing the burden of bitterness to God and trusting Him to be your avenger. *"Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, 'Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord'"* (Romans 12:19). When you forgive, you are not letting them off the hook—you are placing them in God’s hands, where justice will be served perfectly.
We also encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily, as described in Ephesians 6:13-18. Stand firm with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Pray at all times in the Spirit, and stay alert with perseverance. The enemy will try to wear you down, but you must resist him, firm in your faith (1 Peter 5:8-9). Do not engage with the harassment in your own strength. Instead, respond with the authority of Christ. When the enemy attacks, declare Scripture aloud. Speak the truth of God’s Word over your life and over those who are being used against you. For example, you might pray: *"Father, I declare that no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against me in judgment, I shall condemn. This is my heritage as a servant of the Lord"* (Isaiah 54:17).
We also urge you to seek godly community. Isolation is one of the enemy’s greatest tools. Find a Bible-believing church where you can be surrounded by brothers and sisters in Christ who will stand with you in prayer, hold you accountable, and encourage you in your walk with the Lord. Do not carry this burden alone. *"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up"* (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10). If you are not already part of a church, ask the Lord to lead you to one where His Word is preached faithfully and His people walk in love and truth.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our dear brother/sister who is under intense spiritual attack. Lord, You see the depth of their pain, the years of suffering, and the relentless schemes of the enemy to destroy their faith and their life. We thank You that You are a God who hears the cries of Your children and who fights on their behalf.
Father, we ask You to surround them with Your angels. Send Your heavenly hosts to encamp around them, to protect them, and to silence the enemy’s accusations (Psalm 91:11-12). Break every chain of spiritual oppression that has been at work in their life since childhood. Heal their wounds, both seen and unseen, and restore what the enemy has stolen. Lord, we declare that the blood of Jesus covers them, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper.
We pray for those who have been used to harm them. Father, we ask that You would open their eyes to the truth. If they are being influenced by demonic forces, we ask that You would break that power and draw them to repentance. If they are acting out of their own sinful nature, we ask that You would convict them of their sin and lead them to salvation in Christ. We release forgiveness over them, not because they deserve it, but because You have commanded us to forgive as You have forgiven us. We trust You to be their judge and to execute justice in Your perfect timing.
Lord, we ask that You would fill our brother/sister with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen their faith and help them to stand firm in the truth of Your Word. Remind them daily that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). Teach them to wield the sword of the Spirit with authority and to pray without ceasing. Surround them with godly believers who will encourage them, pray with them, and walk alongside them in this battle.
Father, we rebuke every spirit of fear, despair, and unforgiveness that has taken root in their heart. We declare that they are a child of the Most High God, and no power of hell can prevail against them. We speak life, healing, and restoration over their mind, body, and spirit. May they experience Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are with them and will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5).
We thank You, Lord, that the victory is already won. Jesus has disarmed the powers and authorities and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross (Colossians 2:15). We declare that our brother/sister walks in that victory today. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to stand firm, dear one. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He will not fail you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). The enemy may have targeted you, but God has a purpose and a plan for your life that no force of hell can thwart. Walk in the authority you have in Christ, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). You are not alone—we stand with you, and more importantly, the Lord of Hosts stands with you.
