We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, standing in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already disarmed principalities and powers through His victory on the cross. Father, we lift up this dear brother or sister who has endured years of spiritual warfare, targeted by forces of darkness seeking to ensnare them in unforgiveness and bitterness. The enemy has used people as instruments of harm, but we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, for You are their refuge and strong tower.
Lord, we rebuke every assignment of the enemy against this child of God. We break every chain of spiritual oppression, every spirit of torment, and every demonic influence that has sought to use others to wound and provoke them. We declare that the blood of Jesus covers them, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on Your Word, which says, "For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:3-4). We take authority over every evil spirit that has influenced these people to act against Your will, and we command them to flee in the name of Jesus.
Father, we ask You to expose the roots of this warfare. Show them any open doors in their life—unconfessed sin, unhealed wounds, or areas where they may have partnered with fear, bitterness, or resentment. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. We pray for a fresh infilling of Your love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18), and for the fruit of the Spirit to overflow in their life, especially love, joy, peace, and self-control.
We acknowledge the struggle in their flesh—the very real pain and frustration toward those who have harmed them. But we remind them, and ourselves, that forgiveness is not a feeling; it is a choice to obey You. You command us to forgive as we have been forgiven (Colossians 3:13), not because those who hurt us deserve it, but because You have called us to walk in freedom. We pray for a supernatural release of forgiveness in their heart. Soften their heart, Lord, and help them to see these individuals through Your eyes—as people who have been deceived and used by the enemy. May they extend the same grace that You have so freely given to them.
We also pray for those who have been influenced by this spiritual warfare. Father, open their eyes to the deception they have been under. Break the power of the enemy over their lives, and draw them to repentance. Let them see the truth of Your love and the destruction their actions have caused. We ask that You would turn their hearts toward You and away from the enemy’s schemes.
Lord, we declare that this warfare will not define their future. You have begun a good work in them, and You will complete it (Philippians 1:6). We pray for complete deliverance and healing—spirit, soul, and body. Surround them with Your angels, and let Your peace guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Give them discernment to recognize the enemy’s tactics and the wisdom to stand firm in Your truth.
We also want to gently remind them that our battle is not against flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12). While it is natural to feel anger or resentment toward those who have hurt them, we must remember that our true enemy is the devil, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). We encourage them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and to replace bitterness with prayer. Pray for those who have persecuted them, as Jesus commanded (Matthew 5:44), not because it is easy, but because it breaks the power of the enemy and aligns their heart with Yours.
Father, we ask that You would restore everything the enemy has stolen. Heal every wound, mend every broken relationship where possible, and replace every lie with Your truth. Let them walk in the fullness of Your purpose for their life, free from the chains of the past. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37), and that no scheme of the enemy will prevail against them.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name, the One who has already won the victory. We thank You, Lord, that You are faithful to complete the work You have started. May this dear one walk in the freedom and authority that is theirs in Christ, knowing that You are with them always, even to the end of the age. Amen.
