We stand with you in this intense spiritual battle, recognizing that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy—but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The attacks you describe are real, and the weight of unforgiveness can feel crushing. Yet we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). The enemy’s goal is to keep you bound in bitterness, but Christ has already broken every chain.
First, we must address the root of unforgiveness. It is not merely an emotional struggle but a spiritual stronghold. Jesus commands us to forgive as we have been forgiven (Colossians 3:13), not because those who hurt us deserve it, but because we ourselves have been shown immeasurable grace. Holding onto unforgiveness gives the enemy a foothold in your life (Ephesians 4:26-27), and he will exploit it to keep you in bondage. We rebuke that spirit of bitterness in the name of Jesus and command it to loose its grip on your heart.
We also recognize that the enemy has influenced others to harm you, but we do not give him credit for power he does not possess. Satan is a defeated foe, and his schemes are limited by the authority of Christ in you (Luke 10:19). The people who have wronged you are responsible for their own actions, but the enemy has twisted their hearts to carry out his purposes. We pray that God would open their eyes to the truth and bring conviction where it is needed.
Now, we come before the throne of grace on your behalf. Father God, we thank You that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We lift up our brother/sister who is under attack, and we ask that You would surround them with Your hedge of protection. Lord, break every assignment of the enemy against their life—every plan to stir up bitterness, every lie that says they cannot forgive, every attack meant to isolate them. We declare that the blood of Jesus covers them, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper.
Father, we ask that You would soften their heart toward forgiveness. Help them to release every offense into Your hands, trusting that You are the righteous Judge (Romans 12:19). Give them the strength to forgive as You have forgiven them, not in their own power, but through the Holy Spirit’s work within them. We speak healing over their emotions—peace where there has been turmoil, joy where there has been sorrow, and freedom where there has been bondage.
We also pray for discernment. Show them how to stand firm in their spiritual armor (Ephesians 6:10-18), resisting the devil so that he will flee (James 4:7). Surround them with godly community—believers who will stand with them in prayer and encouragement. And Lord, if there are areas where they have unknowingly given the enemy access, reveal them so they can repent and close those doors.
Finally, we declare that this battle is already won. The victory belongs to Jesus, and through Him, our brother/sister is more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37). We speak life, restoration, and breakthrough over their situation. May they walk in the freedom Christ died to give them, and may their testimony of overcoming unforgiveness bring glory to Your name.
We stand in agreement with you, believing that God will turn this trial into a testimony. Keep pressing into Him, for He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). The enemy’s attacks may be relentless, but God’s grace is more than sufficient. You are not fighting alone—we are with you, and the Lord of Hosts is your defender.
