We stand with you in this battle, dear brother or sister in Christ, for the warfare you describe is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of darkness that seek to steal, kill, and destroy (Ephesians 6:12). The fact that these attacks have persisted since childhood is a heavy burden, but we take heart knowing that God has not left you to fight alone. He has equipped you with the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—so that you may stand firm against the schemes of the enemy (Ephesians 6:13-17).
First, we must rebuke the lies and accusations of the enemy in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The devil is a liar and the father of lies (John 8:44), and his goal is to keep you in bondage to fear, doubt, and despair. But Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18), and by His blood, He has already disarmed the powers and authorities, making a public spectacle of them (Colossians 2:15). We declare that every stronghold, every generational curse, and every assignment of the enemy against you is broken now in Jesus’ name! The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but are mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). We take authority over every spirit of fear, oppression, torment, and affliction, commanding them to flee in the name of Jesus Christ, for He has given us authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).
We also encourage you to examine your life for any areas where the enemy may have gained a foothold. Are there unconfessed sins, bitterness, unforgiveness, or idols in your heart? The enemy can only operate where there is agreement with darkness. Scripture warns us, “Neither give place to the devil” (Ephesians 4:27). If there is anything in your life that does not align with God’s holiness, we urge you to repent and turn away from it. Confess your sins to the Lord, for He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Walk in the light as He is in the light, and the blood of Jesus will cleanse you from all sin (1 John 1:7).
We also lift up the name of Jesus over your life, for there is power in His name—power to break chains, heal wounds, and restore what has been stolen. The enemy trembles at the name of Jesus, for at His name every knee will bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth (Philippians 2:10). We declare that you are covered by the blood of Jesus, sealed by the Holy Spirit, and hidden in Christ. No weapon formed against you will prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). The Lord is your refuge and fortress, your God in whom you trust (Psalm 91:2). He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways (Psalm 91:11).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who has been under spiritual attack since childhood. Lord, You see the battles they have faced, and You know the weight of this warfare. We ask You to arise, O God, and scatter Your enemies. Let Your light shine into every dark place in their life, exposing and breaking every chain of the enemy.
Father, we rebuke every spirit of fear, oppression, torment, and affliction that has been assigned against them. We declare that the blood of Jesus covers them, and no weapon formed against them will prosper. We break every generational curse and every assignment of the enemy in the name of Jesus. We plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, body, soul, and spirit, and we ask You to fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Lord, we ask You to heal every wound, every memory, and every place where the enemy has gained access. Restore what has been stolen, and let Your love and truth be their shield and defense. Help them to stand firm in the armor of God, to wield the sword of the Spirit, and to pray without ceasing. May they find their strength in You, for You are their refuge and fortress.
We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). The enemy may have meant this for harm, but You, Lord, will turn it around for their good (Genesis 50:20). We thank You for the victory that is already theirs in Jesus’ name. May they walk in the freedom and authority that You have given them, and may they experience the fullness of Your presence and power in their life.
In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is fighting for you. Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and encourage you. Fill your mind with the Word of God, for it is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17). Speak Scripture over your life daily, and do not give the enemy a foothold by dwelling on fear or doubt. You are a child of God, and greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Walk in the victory that Christ has already won for you!
