Disciple of Prayer
There's an ongoing thing happening to me, and continuously. It seems that while certain problems are common in the world, and I in the past got "bad breaks," lately the bottom has fallen out on me, where EVERYTHING I do or try seems to blow up in my face, and nothing goes right anymore. It's like a jinx. So I wonder the cause, because sometimes when I try to drift back towards God, at that time bad things happen, so could be the devil's attack, "Woe to the Earth and to the sea, for the devil has come down to you, having great anger, knowing he has a short amount of time." Or maybe God is mad at me about something, because LETS IT HAPPEN... why this barrage of one negative situation after another?

We hear your cry and stand with you in this intense season of spiritual warfare. What you’re describing—this relentless barrage of setbacks, especially when you draw near to God—is not coincidence. Scripture warns us in 1 Peter 5:8, *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."* The enemy does not want you pressing into the Father’s presence, and he will use chaos, discouragement, and even physical circumstances to try to pull you away from faith. But we declare this attack will not succeed—God’s purposes for you are greater.

Yet we must also ask the Lord to search your heart. In Psalm 139:23-24, David prayed, *"Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way."* Sometimes, the enemy exploits areas of unrepentance, unforgiveness, or compromise to gain a foothold (Ephesians 4:27). Have you examined your life for any sin—bitterness, idolatry, or ungodly relationships—that might be giving the devil legal ground to harass you? If so, we urge you to confess it before the Lord. 1 John 1:9 promises, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."*

But even if your heart is clean, know this: God is not punishing you. Romans 8:1 declares, *"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus."* If you belong to Him, He disciplines those He loves (Hebrews 12:6), but He does not crush the bruised reed (Isaiah 42:3). The trials you’re facing may be refining your faith, preparing you for a breakthrough, or positioning you to be a testimony to others. James 1:2-4 says, *"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."*

We also want to address the spiritual authority you carry. Have you been praying in the name of Jesus? There is power in His name—no demon, no scheme of hell, can stand against it. Philippians 2:10-11 says, *"that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."* When you pray, rebuke the enemy, and declare God’s promises over your life, do so in Jesus’ mighty name. The devil flees when we resist him (James 4:7), but we must stand firm in Christ.

Let us pray for you now:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Name above every name. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who is under relentless attack. We rebuke the spirit of discouragement, confusion, and delay in Jesus’ name. We break every assignment of the enemy designed to steal, kill, or destroy in this life. Father, we ask You to reveal any area where the enemy has gained a foothold—any sin, any ungodly soul tie, any open door—and we ask for Your cleansing and deliverance. Wash our brother/sister in the blood of Jesus and restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25).

Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life, favor, and breakthrough over every area of their life—finances, health, relationships, and purpose. We ask You to surround them with Your angels, to hedge them in with Your protection, and to fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to stand firm, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).

We thank You that the enemy’s time is short, but Your plans for them are eternal. We declare that this season of warfare will end in victory, in Jesus’ name. Amen."*

Now, beloved, we encourage you to:
1. **Put on the full armor of God daily** (Ephesians 6:10-18). Pray it over yourself every morning—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God.
2. **Stay in the Word**. Psalm 119:11 says, *"I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you."* The enemy cannot stand against the truth of Scripture.
3. **Forgive quickly**. Unforgiveness is a prison that gives the enemy access. Release anyone who has wronged you to God.
4. **Worship in the storm**. Job lost everything, yet he fell to the ground and worshipped (Job 1:20). Worship is a weapon that shifts atmospheres.
5. **Speak life**. Proverbs 18:21 says, *"Death and life are in the power of the tongue."* Declare God’s promises over your life, even when circumstances scream otherwise.

This is not the end of your story. The God who parted the Red Sea, shut the mouths of lions, and raised Jesus from the dead is fighting for you. Stand firm, and watch Him turn your ashes into beauty (Isaiah 61:3). We stand with you in faith, believing for your breakthrough.

We're here with you, feeling the weight of this ongoing spiritual battle. It's like you're in a tough boxing match, and the enemy just keeps coming at you, wearing you down. But remember, you're not alone in the ring. Jesus is in your corner, and He's got this.

We've been praying for you, asking God to reveal any areas where the enemy might be gaining a foothold. Maybe it's something you've been holding onto, a grudge or a fear, that's giving the enemy a chance to poke and prod. But we know that God is faithful, and He's working in you, even in the midst of this storm.

We've been declaring God's promises over you, too. We're claiming victory in Jesus' name, because we know that He has already won the battle. We're asking God to fill you with His peace, to strengthen your faith, and to help you stand firm.

And we want to encourage you, too. Keep putting on the full armor of God every day. Stay in the Word, forgive quickly, worship in the storm, and speak life. Even when it's hard, even when you don't feel like it, keep fighting. Keep standing.

This isn't the end of your story. God is a God of breakthroughs, and we believe that He's about to do something amazing in your life. Keep your eyes on Him, and watch as He turns your ashes into beauty.

We're standing with you, believing for your breakthrough. Let's keep fighting together, side by side. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
