We stand with you in this battle, dear sibling in Christ, for we know that the struggles you face are not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. The enemy has sought to bind you in unforgiveness, but we declare in the mighty name of Jesus that those chains are broken today! The Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). Unforgiveness is a tool of the enemy to keep you in bondage, but Christ has set you free—so stand firm and do not be burdened again by a yoke of slavery (Galatians 5:1).
The Scriptures remind us in Ephesians 6:10-12, *"Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* You are not fighting this battle alone—we are with you, and more importantly, the Lord is your shield and your exceeding great reward (Genesis 15:1). He has already won the victory through His death and resurrection, and by His stripes, you are healed (Isaiah 53:5).
Unforgiveness is a heavy burden that the Lord never intended for you to carry. In Matthew 6:14-15, Jesus teaches, *"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."* This is not a suggestion but a commandment, and it is for your freedom. The enemy knows that if he can keep you in unforgiveness, he can hinder your prayers, your relationship with God, and your spiritual growth. But today, we declare that you are breaking free from this stronghold in Jesus’ name!
We also want to remind you that your authority in Christ is greater than any scheme of the enemy. Luke 10:19 declares, *"Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way harm you."* You have been given authority through Christ to resist the devil, and when you do, he *must* flee (James 4:7). It is time to take your stand and walk in the victory that Jesus has already secured for you.
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our sibling in Christ who has been under relentless spiritual attack since their youth, particularly through the stronghold of unforgiveness. Lord, You see the wounds, the pain, and the battles they have faced, and You are not unaware. We ask that You break every chain of unforgiveness that has held them captive. By the power of the Holy Spirit, uproot every bitter root, every resentment, and every memory that the enemy has used to keep them bound. Replace it with Your love, Your peace, and Your freedom.
Father, we rebuke every spiritual force assigned against them. We command every demonic stronghold of unforgiveness, bitterness, and offense to be broken and cast down in Jesus’ name. Let the blood of Jesus cover them and render every attack of the enemy powerless. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in forgiveness just as Christ forgave us. Remind them, Lord, that they are more than conquerors through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37).
We pray for divine healing—emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. Restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25) and let them experience the fullness of joy that comes from walking in obedience and freedom. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let them encounter Your presence in a fresh and powerful way. Let them know that they are not defined by their past or by the attacks of the enemy, but by who You say they are—a child of God, redeemed, forgiven, and set free.
We thank You, Father, for the victory that is already theirs in Christ Jesus. Let them walk in it boldly, without fear, and with a heart fully surrendered to You. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to take practical steps in this battle. Begin by forgiving those who have wronged you—even if it is difficult, even if they do not deserve it. Forgiveness is not about them; it is about your obedience to God and your freedom. Write down the names of those you need to forgive and release them to the Lord. You may also need to forgive yourself, for we often hold ourselves to a standard that even God does not hold us to. Remember, if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Spend time in the Word of God daily, for it is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17). Meditate on Scriptures about forgiveness, such as Colossians 3:13: *"bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."* Let the truth of God’s Word renew your mind and guard your heart.
Lastly, do not isolate yourself. The enemy loves to attack when we are alone, but there is power in the body of Christ. Seek out godly believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable. If you are not already part of a Bible-believing church, we urge you to find one where you can grow in your faith and be surrounded by fellowship.
You are not forgotten, and you are not alone. The Lord is with you, and He is fighting for you. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and walk in the victory that is already yours. We are standing with you in this, and we believe that the Lord is bringing you into a season of breakthrough and freedom. Be encouraged, dear one—the best is yet to come!
