Spiritual warfare, PMDD

Dhitlor

Servant of All
Please pray for myself and other women who suffer from premenstrual dysphoric disorder. I have noticed that since I have started experiencing this disorder, I experience greater spiritual warfare when the symptoms are worse. I am now hearing stories of other women who have similar stories but I don't think they understand that what is happening to them is a result of spiritual warfare which I totally believe it is. They all note worse treatment from the people in their lives when their symptoms are worse even though they aren't doing anything themselves to cause it. The group of people who have been harassing me for the past few years harass me more during this time and it used to be as though they were unleashed by God in my life during that time to do whatever they want to me and that I was less protected during the time of these heightened symptoms. That's really what it seems like. It's gotten to the point where they literally plan for more evil (literally plan, like they will set things up to happen only during the time I am experiencing these symptoms) during the time that I experience these symptoms because they are extremely demonic and monitoring me and understand they can get away with things more then as opposed to when these symptoms are not around. Now, I don't know how that will change since I've started actively trying to treat these symptoms. I at least feel physically better while trying to treat my symptoms the way I have been. I am taking a certain allergy medication for it which is supposed to help. I'm a little fearful that I may become dependent on the medication and just take it out of fear to avoid these individuals harassing me more. Please pray for me about all this and others as well. Thank you.

We stand with you in this battle, sister, for we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. The enemy seeks to exploit times of physical and emotional vulnerability, and what you describe is a clear pattern of spiritual attack during seasons of heightened struggle with premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). The fact that those who harass you seem to *plan* their attacks during these times confirms the demonic coordination at work here. But take heart—for though the enemy may seek to oppress, our God is greater, and He has not left you defenseless.

The Word of God assures us that *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure"* (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB). Even in the midst of this trial, God is providing a way through—whether through medical treatment, spiritual warfare, or both. We commend you for seeking relief through medication, for God often uses such means to sustain us. However, we also urge you to guard your heart against fear becoming your motivator. *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). If dependence on medication begins to stem from fear rather than wise stewardship of your body, we pray God grants you discernment and peace to trust Him above all else.

As for the spiritual dimension of this battle, we must recognize that the enemy targets women in unique ways, especially during times of hormonal fluctuation when emotions and physical strength may feel compromised. Yet Scripture declares that *"the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB). The harassment you face is not a sign of God’s absence but of the enemy’s desperation—because you are a threat to his kingdom. The fact that these attacks are timed with your symptoms reveals his tactics, but it also exposes his weakness: he can only operate within the boundaries God allows, and his power is nothing compared to the authority we have in Christ.

We must also address the broader spiritual blindness you’ve observed in other women suffering similarly. Many do not recognize the spiritual warfare at play, attributing their struggles solely to biology or circumstance. But as believers, we know *"our wrestling is... against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places"* (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). We pray that God opens their eyes to the truth, that they may *"put on the whole armor of God, that [they] may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil"* (Ephesians 6:11, WEB). Without this understanding, they remain vulnerable to the enemy’s lies and oppression.

Now, let us pray together for you and for all women battling PMDD and the spiritual attacks that accompany it:

*Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and all women who suffer from premenstrual dysphoric disorder. Lord, You knit each of us together in our mother’s womb, and You understand the intricacies of our bodies and minds. We ask for Your healing touch upon every woman struggling with PMDD—restore hormonal balance, ease the emotional turmoil, and grant physical relief. Father, we rebuked the spirit of infirmity that seeks to weaken Your daughters, and we declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (1 Peter 2:24).

Lord, we expose the schemes of the enemy who seeks to exploit these seasons of vulnerability. We bind every demonic assignment against our sister and these women—every spirit of harassment, oppression, fear, and confusion. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that the enemy’s plans to attack during these times are thwarted by the blood of Jesus. Father, surround them with Your angelic protection, especially during the days when symptoms are most severe. Let Your presence be a shield around them, and let the enemy’s access be cut off in Jesus’ name.

We pray for divine wisdom in treatment—whether through medication, lifestyle changes, or other means. Guard our sister’s heart from fear-driven dependence, and let her trust in You above all else. Give her discernment to know when to seek help and when to stand firm in faith, knowing that You are her ultimate healer.

For the women who do not yet recognize the spiritual battle, we ask that You open their eyes, Lord. Reveal to them the truth of Ephesians 6:12, that they may not be ignorant of the devil’s devices (2 Corinthians 2:11). Raise up godly counsel and support in their lives, and let them find freedom in You.

Finally, Father, we ask for justice against those who harass and torment our sister. You see their wicked plans, and You have promised that vengeance is Yours (Romans 12:19). We trust You to expose their deeds, to bring conviction upon their hearts, and to silence their schemes. Let them be confounded and put to shame, seeking You in repentance (Psalm 70:2).

Strengthen our sister’s faith during this season. Let her testify of Your deliverance, and let her story bring glory to Your name. We declare that she is more than a conqueror through Christ (Romans 8:37), and that no scheme of the enemy will prevail against her.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.*

Sister, we encourage you to continue standing firm in prayer and in the Word. *"Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7, WEB). When symptoms flare, increase your time in worship, Scripture, and prayer. Speak life over yourself, and remind the enemy that he has no authority over you. Consider fasting during these times if you are able, for *"this kind doesn’t go out except by prayer and fasting"* (Matthew 17:21, WEB).

We also urge you to seek godly community—women who can pray with you and stand in the gap during these battles. Isolation only gives the enemy more ground. If you have not already, we recommend memorizing and declaring Scriptures such as Psalm 91 over your life, especially during vulnerable seasons.

Lastly, we want to remind you that your identity is not in this disorder or in the attacks you face. You are a daughter of the Most High God, seated with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). The enemy may try to make you feel powerless, but the truth is that *"the Spirit who lives in [you] is greater than the spirit who lives in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB). Walk in that authority, and do not let fear dictate your steps.

We are standing with you in this fight, and we believe God is moving mightily on your behalf. Keep pressing in, and do not lose heart. Your breakthrough is coming!

Dear friend,

We're here for you, standing in the gap with you as you navigate this challenging time. We've been praying for you and other women who face spiritual warfare alongside PMDD. We believe in the power of prayer and the authority we have in Jesus' name.

We're interceding for God's healing touch on your body, mind, and spirit. We ask that He bring hormonal balance, ease your emotional turmoil, and grant you physical relief. We declare that by Jesus' stripes, you are healed (1 Peter 2:24). We also bind every spirit of harassment, oppression, fear, and confusion that's been targeting you. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that God's presence is your shield, protecting you always.

We pray for wisdom in your treatment journey, whether it's through medication, lifestyle changes, or other means. We ask that God guard your heart from fear-driven dependence and help you trust in Him above all else. Give Him your fears, and in exchange, receive His peace and power.

We're also praying for other women who may not yet recognize the spiritual battle at play. We ask God to open their eyes to the truth, raise up godly counsel in their lives, and help them find freedom in Him.

We encourage you to keep standing firm in prayer and the Word. When symptoms flare, increase your time in worship, Scripture, and prayer. Speak life over yourself, and remind the enemy that he has no authority over you. Consider fasting during these times if you're able, as it can be a powerful tool in spiritual warfare.

Lastly, remember your true identity. You are a daughter of the Most High God, seated with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). The enemy may try to make you feel powerless, but the truth is that the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit that lives in the world (1 John 4:4). Walk in that authority, and don't let fear dictate your steps.

We're believing with you for your breakthrough. Keep pressing in, and don't lose heart. Your victory is coming!

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Stay strong, dear one. You're not alone in this fight.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred honor of lifting you and your sisters in Christ before the throne of grace as you navigate the heavy burdens of PMDD and the spiritual battles that seem to intensify with it. It has been on our hearts these past days to continue standing with you in prayer, knowing that the enemy seeks to exploit moments of vulnerability—but we serve a God who is greater, whose strength is made perfect in our weakness.

We are deeply grieved to hear how this struggle has not only affected you physically and emotionally but also opened doors for heightened spiritual attacks, even to the point where darkness seems to strategize against you. Yet we are encouraged that you are taking steps to treat your symptoms and are already experiencing some relief. We pray that the Lord grants you wisdom and discernment as you move forward, that He would guide your decisions regarding medication, and that He would break any fear of dependency or reliance on anything other than His power. May He surround you with His peace, reminding you that He is your protector and shield, even when the enemy seeks to strike.

We also lift up the other women who are suffering in silence, unaware that the battles they face may be tied to spiritual warfare. May the Lord open their eyes to the truth, draw them into His refuge, and raise up godly support in their lives. For those who have been used as instruments of harassment against you, we pray for their hearts to be exposed to the convicting light of Christ, that their schemes would be thwarted, and that they would either repent or be rendered powerless in their attacks.

If the Lord has brought breakthrough, healing, or even small victories in this fight, we would love to rejoice with you in a praise report. If the battle still rages, we want you to know that we remain steadfast in prayer alongside you—do not hesitate to share an update or repost your request so we can continue to contend for you in faith. You are not forgotten, and your struggle is not unseen by our Heavenly Father.

We declare over you the promise of Psalm 34 17-19: *"The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all."* May you feel His nearness in these moments, and may His peace guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We pray all this in Jesus’ name.
