We join with you in lifting up these young men before the throne of grace and we agree together for their spiritual strength and growth in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is the will of God that young men be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might, growing in grace and not remaining spiritual infants.

We are encouraged by your desire to see them disciplined in their spiritual duties and we stand with you for this. The Scripture says in 2 Peter 3:18, But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and forever. Amen. And in Col 1:9-12 we are taught to pray that they may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that they may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God, strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, for all endurance and perseverance with joy.

We pray for discipline and diligence in their walk. As it is written in 1 Tim 4:7, exercise yourself toward godliness, and in 2 Tim 2:15, Give diligence to present yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn’t need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth. We ask the Father to give them a hunger for the Word as newborn babies long for the pure milk of the Word, that they may grow thereby, as in 1 Pet 2:2, and that they would be devoted to prayer, for Luke 18:1 tells us that men ought always to pray, and not to faint, and Eph 6:18 reminds us to pray at all times in the Spirit and be watchful to that end with all perseverance and requests for all the saints.

We pray together for them now.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and we lift up these young men to You. We ask that You pour out upon them Your blessing as You promised in Num 6:24-26, The Lord bless you, and keep you. The Lord make his face to shine on you, and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up his face toward you, and give you peace. Grant them wisdom liberally as You have promised in James 1:5, that if any of us lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

We ask that You teach them to love You with all their heart, soul, mind and strength and to love their neighbor as themselves according to Mark 12:30-31, and that their love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that they may approve the things that are excellent, that they may be sincere and without offense to the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God, as in Phil 1:9-11. Let the fruit of the Spirit be evident in their lives, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control, as in Gal 5:22-23, and let their love be out of a pure heart, a good conscience, and sincere faith as in 1 Tim 1:5.

We ask for healing and wholeness for them, for Ps 103:2-3 says, Praise the Lord, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, and we claim Isa 53:5, But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed, and 1 Pet 2:24, by whose stripes you were healed. Give them a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You, that the eyes of their hearts may be enlightened as in Eph 1:17-18, and make them true worshipers who worship the Father in spirit and truth as in John 4:23.

Raise them up as laborers for the harvest, to go into all the world and preach the Good News to the whole creation as in Mark 16:15, with signs and wonders following, and stir up within them the gifts of the Holy Spirit as distributed according to Your will as in 1 Cor 12:4-7. Make them men of intercession who stand in the gap for souls to be saved, for You desire all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth as in 1 Tim 2:3-4, and for Zion’s sake not to hold their peace as in Isa 62:1.

We pray they would learn to rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and in everything give thanks, for this is Your will in Christ Jesus toward them as in 1 Thess 5:16-18, and that they would in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let their requests be made known to You, and Your peace which surpasses all understanding will guard their hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus as in Phil 4:6-7.

We also agree together for their protection, Father, that You would not lead them into temptation but deliver them from the evil one as in Matt 6:13, and as Jesus prayed in John 17:15, that You would keep them from the evil one, and that they would be kept from deceitful lips and do no unrighteousness as in Zeph 3:13. Guard them from all temptation and sin.

We thank You in advance for what You will do, believing according to Mark 11:24, Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in them until the day of Jesus Christ.

We ask all of this in the mighty and only saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved and no other way to the Father except through Him. Amen.

We were so encouraged to read your burden for young men and their walk with the Lord. It is a beautiful thing to carry them before God the way you are, asking not just for a moment of enthusiasm but for lasting strength and character.

One thing that has helped us when we pray for younger believers is remembering that growth is usually slow and quiet, more like training for a long race than a single event. There will be good days and setbacks, but over time the steady habits of opening God's Word, learning to pray honestly, worshiping alongside others, and relying on the Holy Spirit do shape a life. Each young man will grow a little differently too, so we can trust God to work in the unique way He made each of them.

It may help to keep your intercession simple and steady, perhaps choosing one or two young men by name each week to check in with and encourage in a small, doable discipline, and letting fellowship do some of the work as they spur one another on.

Father, we bring these young men before You in Jesus' name. Draw them close to You, give them hunger for Your presence, wisdom for their choices, and protection from temptation and the evil one. Make their lives fruitful and faithful as they grow, and encourage the one who is praying so faithfully for them. Amen.

Your prayer for the young men is a right and seasonable one, and I do heartily join with you in it before the Lord.

It has been well said that John could not have written to all young men as strong and as overcomers, for alas all are not so. Only those are strong in whom the Word of God abides, and who by that Word have overcome the Wicked One. This is the strength we must seek for them, not the strength of nature which soon fails, but that spiritual strength which comes by growing in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, as you have asked according to 2 Peter 3:18 and Colossians 1:9-12.

We will pray then that they may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, that they may walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God, strengthened with all might. And that they may give themselves to disciplined duties, to be exercised unto godliness, to study to shew themselves approved, rightly dividing the word of truth, and to continue instant in prayer, watching thereunto, as it is written in 1 Timothy 4:7, 2 Timothy 2:15, Luke 18:1 and 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.

We ask for them the blessing of Numbers 6, that the Lord will bless them and keep them and make His face to shine upon them, and for wisdom from above according to James 1:5. May love abound in them, love for God and for their neighbour according to Mark 12:30-31, with knowledge and discernment that they may approve things that are excellent and be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, as in Philippians 1:9-11, and with the fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance, and with love out of a pure heart and of a good conscience and of faith unfeigned. May they hunger for the sincere milk of the Word that they may grow thereby, and may the eyes of their understanding be enlightened according to Ephesians 1:17-20, that they may know the hope of His calling. We pray that they may learn to worship in spirit and in truth, to stir up the gifts of the Spirit, to intercede for souls, and to go forth to preach the gospel with boldness, the Lord working with them.

And with you we pray that same prayer which our Lord taught us, Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For temptation must be incessant and many are the snares for young feet, and the enemy holds forth a sparkling cup in which death is lurking. We pray that the Lord would keep them from sin and from the evil one, according to Matthew 6:13 and John 17:15, that He would open their eyes that they may see His presence with them as a protection in the hour of trial, and that they may be kept from yielding to the enticements of the world.

May the Lord hear this prayer and grant healing by His stripes, growth in prayer, and a rejoicing spirit with thanksgiving in all things, that they may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God, and be preserved blameless unto His coming. We thank God in advance, believing that what we ask according to His will He heareth, and we ask it in the name of Jesus, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for bringing this burden for young men before the Lord. We join you in prayer for their growth and strength in Christ, and we thank God for your faithfulness in interceding for them.

We pray that they will grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ as 2 Peter 3:18 teaches, and that God will fill them with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, so they may walk worthy of Him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God, strengthened with all power according to Colossians 1:9-12. We ask that they will train themselves for godliness as 1 Timothy 4:7 says, giving themselves to disciplined study of the Word to show themselves approved, rightly handling the word of truth according to 2 Timothy 2:15, and to continual prayer as Luke 18 and 1 Thessalonians 5 teach, praying always without losing heart, rejoicing always, praying without ceasing and giving thanks in all things.

We pray also for what you have asked from Philippians 1:9-11, that their love may abound more and more in knowledge and discernment to choose what is excellent and be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ. We ask for the fruit of the Holy Spirit in their lives, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control from Galatians 5:22-23, and for love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith from 1 Timothy 1:5. We ask for wisdom as James 1:5 promises, for hunger for the pure milk of the Word that they may grow by it according to 1 Peter 2:2, for the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him according to Ephesians 1:17-20, and for a true heart of worship in spirit and truth as in John 4:23.

We pray for their protection as you have asked. The Scripture teaches that prayer is a powerful weapon in temptation, and that no temptation has overtaken them except what is common to man, but God is faithful and will not let them be tempted beyond what they can bear, but with the temptation will also provide the way of escape that they may be able to endure it from 1 Corinthians 10:13. We ask the Father to lead them not into temptation and to deliver them from the evil one according to Matthew 6:13 and to keep them from the evil one as Jesus prayed in John 17:15, that they may be kept from sin and walk in purity. Scripture often uses the word youth to speak of virginity and purity for both young men and young women, and we pray that these young men will understand that while youth is not an excuse for sin, it is possible to be mature and steadfast even while young, showing temperance and courage and self control.

We also pray for healing and restoration according to Psalm 103:2-5, Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 2:24, for boldness in sharing the gospel with signs following as in Mark 16:15-20, for the right use of the gifts of the Holy Spirit according to 1 Corinthians 12, and for a spirit of intercession that many souls will be saved according to Isaiah 62 and 1 Timothy 2:1-4. We ask for the blessing of Numbers 6:22-27 to rest upon them, that the Lord will bless them and keep them and make His face shine upon them and give them peace.

We stand with you in faith according to Mark 11:23-24, thanking God in advance for what He will do, and we pray all this in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to the Father. May the Lord keep these young men close to Himself, and may they learn to trust Him so fully that when trials come they can stand firm, knowing that if God is for them nothing that men may do can truly harm them.

Your heart for these young men is evident and it is good to bring them before the Lord in this way. We join you in praying that they will grow in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ, and that they will be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, so that they may walk worthy of Him and be strengthened with His power for endurance and joy.

A central part of that growth is learning disciplined spiritual habits. Scripture calls us to train ourselves for godliness. That training involves the whole person, body, mind and spirit, bringing the body under control so that we do not simply follow its impulses. For young men this means daily attention to the Word and to prayer, studying to present themselves approved to God, rightly handling the truth, hungering for the pure milk of the Word, and continuing steadfastly in prayer, rejoicing always, praying without ceasing and giving thanks in all things. As they seek wisdom the Lord promises to give it generously, and as they seek revelation the Spirit opens the eyes of their hearts to know Christ more fully. We pray that love will abound in them from a pure heart, a good conscience and sincere faith, that they will love God with all their being and love others as themselves, growing in knowledge and discernment to choose what is best and to live blameless and fruitful lives until the day of Christ, bearing the fruit of the Spirit and walking in true worship, using the gifts the Spirit gives for the building up of others and for sharing the gospel.

You also asked for protection from temptation and from the evil one, and this is vital. Temptation is common to everyone and in itself is not sin. Even Jesus was tempted yet without sin. Sin comes when desire is allowed to conceive and we yield to it. Every temptation presents a choice whether to walk according to the flesh or according to the Spirit. Often temptation works by promising immediate fulfillment if we will just step off the path God has set. That solicitation to evil does not come from God but from the enemy.

Scripture teaches that the testing of faith, when faced rightly, can produce patience, which is so needed as we learn to wait upon God. At the same time God is faithful. He does not allow His children to be tempted beyond what they are able to bear, and with every temptation He provides a way of escape so that it can be endured. When someone falls it is because that way of escape was not taken. We pray that these young men will recognize that escape and take it, choosing the Spirit over the flesh.

We pray they will be like those young men in Scripture who purposed in their hearts to remain undefiled even when surrounded by pressure and opportunity to compromise. John writes that young men are strong because the Word of God abides in them and they have overcome the evil one. That is our prayer, that the Word would dwell richly in them and make them strong to stand.

So we ask the Lord to bless and keep them, to make His face shine upon them and give them peace, to heal and restore them according to His promises, to fill them with joy and peace in believing, to guard them from the evil one as Jesus prayed, and to deliver them from temptation and from every form of evil. We ask that they would grow as men of prayer and of the Word, as worshipers and witnesses, with a burden for intercession and for souls to be saved, and that their lives would be marked by thankfulness, by the peace of God that guards heart and mind, and by a steady hunger for Christ.

We thank the Lord in advance, trusting His promises and asking all of this in the name of Jesus, believing that He hears and will answer according to His perfect will.
