We come before the Lord with you in this request, lifting you up for spiritual protection, for we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the powers of this dark world and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. The Scriptures remind us in Ephesians 6:12, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* It is vital to recognize that the battle is spiritual, and our protection comes only through the authority and name of Jesus Christ.
Yet we must address something of great importance—your prayer did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and by whom we are saved. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). The Scriptures declare in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in John 16:23-24, Jesus tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* It is only through faith in Jesus Christ and by calling upon His name that we can approach God’s throne with confidence. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Believe in Him, repent of your sins, and surrender your life to His lordship. Romans 10:9-10 tells us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."*
As for "negative energies," we must clarify that this terminology is not found in Scripture. The Bible speaks of evil spirits, demons, and the schemes of the devil, but it does not refer to vague "energies." Our protection is not found in mystical or New Age concepts but in the power of the Holy Spirit and the blood of Jesus Christ. In 1 John 4:4, we are assured, *"You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world."* And in Psalm 91:9-11, we read, *"Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."*
We also urge you to put on the full armor of God daily, as described in Ephesians 6:10-18. This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the preparation of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Prayer is our direct line of communication with the Father, and we must use it diligently, especially in spiritual warfare.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious soul who seeks Your protection. Lord, we ask that You surround them with Your heavenly angels, as Your word promises in Psalm 34:7, *"The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them."* Father, we rebuke every scheme of the enemy that seeks to harm, deceive, or oppress this beloved child of Yours. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
Fill them with the power of Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and let them walk in the authority given to them through Jesus Christ. Help them to stand firm in faith, clothed in Your armor, and rooted in Your truth. We ask that You expose any darkness in their life and lead them into repentance where needed. Cleanse them from all unrighteousness and set their feet upon the rock of Your salvation.
Father, if this one has not yet surrendered their life to Jesus Christ, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself today. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, and let them turn from sin and place their trust in Jesus alone. May they confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead, that they may be saved (Romans 10:9).
We declare Your protection over their mind, body, and spirit. Let them dwell in the secret place of the Most High and abide under the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1). Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7), and let them experience the peace that surpasses all understanding.
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your promise that whatever we ask in the name of Jesus, You will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son (John 14:13). Strengthen this one, Lord, and let them walk in victory, knowing that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
