We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul and the deep struggles he faces. Father God, we know that addiction is a fierce battle, but we also know that nothing is impossible for You. We rebuke the chains of drugs, alcohol, and lust in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is written, *"The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil"* (1 John 3:8). We declare freedom over him, for *"whom the Son sets free is free indeed"* (John 8:36).
Lord, we also lift up the ungodly influences in his life—those who seek his downfall. We pray that You would sever these toxic connections and surround him with godly men who will speak life, truth, and encouragement into his spirit. Your Word says, *"Do not be deceived: 'Evil companionships corrupt good morals'"* (1 Corinthians 15:33). We ask that You would place a hedge of protection around him, shielding him from the snares of the enemy.
We must also address the seriousness of the relationship described here. Scripture is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, and that sexual purity is to be honored before marriage. *"But sexual immorality and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints"* (Ephesians 5:3). We encourage this dear sister to prayerfully consider whether this courtship is leading toward a godly marriage or if it is being hindered by unrepentant sin. If this young man is not pursuing holiness, we must ask if this is the relationship You have ordained, Lord.
Father, we also take authority over the dark spiritual forces at work through his mother. We rebuke every assignment of black magic, witchcraft, and divination in Jesus’ name, for *"the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds"* (2 Corinthians 10:4). We pray that she would have a supernatural encounter with the living God—one that shatters every lie she has believed and draws her to repentance. Let Your light pierce the darkness in her life, Lord, and let her see Jesus as her Savior and Deliverer.
We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). Without Him, there is no access to the Father, no forgiveness of sins, and no victory over the enemy. We stand on the promise that *"if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). May this young man and his mother both come to know the transforming power of Christ.
Lord, we ask for Your Holy Spirit to move mightily in this situation. Break every chain, heal every wound, and restore what the enemy has stolen. We trust You, God, for complete deliverance and redemption. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
