We join you in lifting up young men before the Lord, asking that they grow into strong, godly men who walk worthily of Him and fulfill His purposes for their lives.

We love the scriptures you have laid upon this request, for they show the heart of God for the next generation. We pray that they grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and forever. Amen. 2 Peter 3:18 We ask with you that they may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that they may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God, strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, for all endurance and perseverance with joy Col 1:9-11.

We pray the blessing of Numbers over them, Yahweh bless you and keep you. Yahweh make his face to shine on you, and be gracious to you. Yahweh lift up his face toward you, and give you peace. Num 6:24-26 We ask that God grant them wisdom liberally as they seek Him, for if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5 And we pray they will love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind and strength and love their neighbors as themselves Mk 12:30-31, growing in love from God, for God, for themselves in a pure way, and for others.

We agree with you for disciplined spiritual duties. We pray they will exercise themselves toward godliness 1 Tim 4:7, that they will be diligent to present themselves approved by God, a workman who does not need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of truth 2 Tim 2:15. We pray they will be devoted to prayer, always praying and not giving up Lk 18:1, rejoicing always, praying without ceasing, in everything giving thanks 1 Thess 5:16-18, and praying at all times in the Spirit with all prayer and supplication Eph 6:18. We ask that they will crave pure spiritual milk as newborn babies, that they may grow thereby 1 Pet 2:2, and that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to them a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him Eph 1:17.

We pray that their love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment, so that they may approve the things that are excellent, that they may be sincere and without offense to the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God Phil 1:9-11. We pray the fruit of the Spirit will be evident in them, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self control Gal 5:22-23, and that the aim of their instruction will be love out of a pure heart, a good conscience, and sincere faith 1 Tim 1:5. We pray they will be true worshipers who worship the Father in spirit and truth Jn 4:23, that they will hunger for revelation and walk in the gifts of the Holy Spirit as He distributes to each one as He desires 1 Cor 12:4-11, and that they will go into all the world and preach the Good News to the whole creation Mk 16:15 with boldness, with God confirming His Word with signs and wonders.

We also pray for their protection and purity, which is so vital for young men. We ask the Lord to lead them not into temptation but deliver them from the evil one Matt 6:13, that He would keep them from evil Jn 17:15 and bring us not into temptation Lk 11:4. We pray they will flee youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace 2 Tim 2:22, keeping themselves blameless and abstaining from all sexual immorality, for God has called young men to be pure and to prepare themselves for godly marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, honoring Him with their bodies before and within marriage. We pray for healing and wholeness for them, for He forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases Ps 103:3, by His wounds we are healed Isa 53:5 and 1 Pet 2:24.

We pray they will be intercessors who stand in the gap and that many souls will be saved through them, for God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth 1 Tim 2:4. We pray they will not be anxious in anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let their requests be made known to God, and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard their hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus Phil 4:6-7.

We thank you Father in advance for what you will do, believing that whatever we ask in prayer, believing, we will receive Mk 11:24. We ask all this in the mighty and only saving name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and it is through Him we have access to the Father Jn 14:6.

Father, raise up this generation of young men to be men of the Word, men of prayer, men of courage and compassion, who walk in wisdom, love, and power, who bear fruit that remains, and who bring glory to Jesus Christ until His return. Amen.

Thank you for lifting these young men to the Lord with such care and persistence. We hear how much you want them to grow strong in Christ and to walk in wisdom and love.

One thing that has helped us is remembering that spiritual growth is gradual and lifelong, more like training than trying for a quick change. There will be highs and lows, but God is faithful over the long haul. He often uses simple, steady rhythms to shape us, time in His Word, honest prayer, and worship with other believers, all in dependence on the Holy Spirit. And because each person is uniquely made, the way growth looks will not be exactly the same for each young man.

A next step that often bears fruit is adding personal training to teaching. Beyond a class or sermon, a small group or a steady one on one connection with a mature believer who can ask caring, direct questions about their walk, their struggles, and where temptation presses can provide the encouragement and accountability that helps discipline take root.

Father, we bring these young men before you and ask you to keep them close to you, to guard them from temptation and evil, to deepen their hunger for your Word and for prayer, and to form in them love, wisdom and the fruit of your Spirit for your glory. Lead them in wise choices and keep them faithful until the day of Christ. In Jesus name, amen.

Your earnest petition for the spiritual growth of young men has been laid before the Lord with thanksgiving, and we join our hearts with yours in this holy desire.

It is a great mercy when young men in years are also young men in grace, strong because the Word of God abides in them and they have overcome the Wicked One. John wrote unto such, for he saw in them qualifications for usefulness in the service of God. Our prayer is that the Lord would make it so among those you have named, that they may grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, as it is written in 2 Peter 3:18, and be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, to walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, as in Colossians 1:9-12.

We entreat the Lord to pour upon them the blessing of Numbers 6, that the Lord bless them and keep them and make His face to shine upon them, to grant wisdom liberally to those who ask as James 1:5 promises, and to teach them to love the Lord with all heart and soul and mind and to love their neighbour as themselves. May they be disciplined in the duties of godliness, given to study to show themselves approved unto God, and to prayer without ceasing, continuing instant in supplication and watching thereunto. Oh that they might hunger for the sincere milk of the Word that they may grow thereby, and receive the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. May the fruit of the Spirit be seen in them, love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance, and love out of a pure heart and of a good conscience and of faith unfeigned. We ask that they may be filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, blameless till the day of Christ, and be kept in rejoicing and prayer and thanksgiving, as the apostle exhorts.

We also pray as you have asked for their protection, for we know that temptation is incessant and the great enemy holds forth the sparkling cup to young men especially, and many are seduced thereby. Therefore we cry with you and with the Church in all ages, Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, and as our Saviour prayed, keep them from the evil one, though they remain in the world. How needful is the prayer, Lord, open the eyes of the young man that he may see, that he may perceive thy presence and thy power round about him, and so be kept from sin and from the bypaths which promise protection where God has promised none. Let them not stand where moral tone is bad nor walk in ways of their own choosing, but abide in the ways of the Lord where the promise holds, He shall give His angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways.

We commend the service of God to these young men, for it is good for this life as well as for that which is to come, and we pray that they may be kept as kings and priests unto God, seeking first His kingdom and His righteousness, offering true worship in spirit and in truth, and going forth to preach the Word with boldness, the Lord working with them. May the Lord grant healing where there is infirmity, according to His mercy who forgiveth all thine iniquities and healeth all thy diseases, and who by His stripes has borne our sickness.

We will continue to make intercession for them, believing that God heareth prayer and will answer speedily those who ask in the name of Jesus, according to Mark 11:24. Let us trust Him who is able to keep them from falling and to present them faultless, looking unto Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved, and no other foundation for growth or holiness or hope.

May the Lord establish them and cause this work of grace to abound to His glory.
