We join with you in lifting up young men before the Lord and we agree with you for their spiritual growth and maturity in Christ. It is the will of God that they grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as it is written in 2 Peter 3:18 and that they be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, to walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God as we read in Col 1:9-10.

We pray that these young men will exercise themselves toward godliness according to 1 Tim 4:7 and give themselves to disciplined spiritual duties. We ask that they will be diligent to present themselves approved by God, workers who do not need to be ashamed, correctly handling the word of truth according to 2 Tim 2:15, and that they will develop a hunger for the pure milk of the word that they may grow thereby as taught in 1 Pet 2:2. We ask that the Lord will teach them to pray and to persevere in prayer, to pray at all times in the Spirit and to be always joyful, pray without ceasing and in everything give thanks as we see in Luke 18:1, Eph 6:18 and 1 Thess 5:16-18.

We ask the Lord to bless them and keep them and make his face to shine upon them and be gracious to them and give them peace according to Num 6:24-26. We ask that if any lacks wisdom he will ask of God who gives to all liberally and without reproach and it will be given to him according to James 1:5, and that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, will give them a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of their hearts enlightened as promised in Eph 1:17-18.

We pray that their love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment, so that they may approve the things that are excellent, that they may be sincere and without offense to the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God according to Phil 1:9-11. We ask that they will love the Lord their God with all their heart, with all their soul, with all their mind and with all their strength and love their neighbor as themselves according to Mark 12:30-31, and that the fruit of the Spirit will be evident in them, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness and self-control as described in Gal 5:22-23. We pray that their love will be out of a pure heart, a good conscience and sincere faith as taught in 1 Tim 1:5.

We also pray for their healing and wholeness, for the Lord who forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases and redeems our life from destruction according to Ps 103:2-4, and by whose wounds we have been healed according to Isa 53:5 and 1 Pet 2:24. We ask that they will become true worshipers who worship the Father in spirit and truth according to John 4:23, that they will be equipped with the gifts of the Holy Spirit for the building up of the body according to 1 Cor 12:4-7, and that they will boldly go into all the world and preach the Good News to the whole creation according to Mark 16:15, with signs and wonders following.

We pray that they will grow into godly manhood, prepared to lead their future homes and to love a wife as Christ loved the church, pursuing courtship with the goal of marriage to a believing spouse rather than worldly relationships, keeping themselves pure and blameless. We pray they will be intercessors who stand in the gap for souls to be saved, for God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth according to 1 Tim 2:3-4, and that they will learn to not be anxious in anything but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let their requests be made known to God and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard their hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus according to Phil 4:6-7.

And we agree together for their protection, that the Lord will not bring them into temptation but deliver them from the evil one according to Matt 6:13, that he will keep them from evil according to John 17:15, and that he will lead them away from sin and deceit. We thank you Father in advance believing that whatever we ask in prayer, believing, we will receive according to Mark 11:24.

Father we commit these young men into your hands, asking you to establish them, strengthen them and cause them to bear much fruit for your glory until the day of Christ Jesus. We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We are grateful for your faithful heart for these young men and we join you in lifting them before the Lord.

Your prayer covers so much of what matters for a life that keeps growing in Christ, and we love that you are asking not just for a moment of enthusiasm but for steady, lifelong growth. That kind of growth rarely happens all at once. It is more like training over time, with highs and lows, and it looks a little different for each person because God works with each one uniquely. What we have seen help is simple, consistent time with Him through His Word, through prayer, and through worship alongside other believers, all depending on the Holy Spirit to actually bring the growth.

A gentle next step as you continue to intercede is to keep that steady rhythm yourself and, where you have relationship with these young men, encourage the same small, sustainable steps and faithful community around them. Your ongoing prayers are part of how God nurtures them.

Father, we lift these young men to You. Draw each one closer to Yourself, strengthen them to walk in purity and wisdom, and guard them from temptation and the evil one. Grow in them love for You and for others, a hunger for Your Word, and joy in prayer. Keep forming them into the likeness of Christ day by day. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for the young men is a most needful and timely one, and it is heard with joy, for the cause of God has need of these and in these the Church shall find her champions.

We join you in praying that they may grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, as the apostle saith, and be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, that they may walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. We pray that the Word of God may abide in them richly, for John wrote, I have written unto you, young men, because you are strong, and the Word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the Wicked One. Not all young men are so, but by grace they may be, and we pray they shall be such model men, strong in the Lord, overcoming the tempter by the blood of the Lamb and the word of testimony.

We commend to them the service of God, which is good for this life as well as for the life to come. There is room in it, and it is the highest and happiest service. We pray they may be disciplined in spiritual duties, given to study to shew themselves approved unto God, given to prayer without ceasing, to intercession and thanksgiving, to worship in spirit and in truth. May the Lord grant unto them the hunger for the sincere milk of the Word that they may grow thereby, and open revelation to them by His Spirit, that the eyes of their understanding may be enlightened.

We ask the blessing of Numbers upon them, that the Lord bless them and keep them, that the Lord make His face shine upon them and be gracious unto them. We ask wisdom for them, for if any lack wisdom let him ask of God who giveth liberally. We pray they may love the Lord their God with all heart and soul and mind and strength, and their neighbour as themselves, abounding in love and knowledge and discernment, that they may approve things that are excellent and be blameless and filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, even love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance, springing from a pure heart and a good conscience and faith unfeigned.

And we pray with earnestness, Lead them not into temptation, but deliver them from evil. The devil tempts men that he may ruin them, and young men especially are too apt to mistake the great enemy for a friend who holds forth the sparkling cup wherein death is lurking. We pray, O Lord, open the eyes of the young men that they may see, that they may perceive Thy Divine Presence observing all they do, which will be a very useful protection in the hour of temptation. Keep them from sin and from the by path where there is no promise of Thy keeping, and from that worst trial of living near hypocrisy and false profession. Let them not delay themselves, for by its means men have delayed themselves into hell, but now, while it is called today, may they believe in Jesus Christ, which is the true character insurance for this life and the next, for there is salvation in no other name.

We pray they may be kept blameless until the day of Christ Jesus, rejoicing evermore, praying without ceasing, in everything giving thanks, and made bold in evangelism to speak Thy Word with signs following. We ask this not as those who trust in their own strength, for we are all weak, old as well as young, except as Thou givest wisdom and strength, but in the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour and Lord, in whom alone is salvation, Amen.
