We join with you in gratitude to our Heavenly Father for the precious gift of life, knowing that every breath we take is sustained by His grace. Your desire for wisdom and guidance in daily struggles is a godly one, and we commend you for seeking the Lord’s direction in all things—including your future marriage. However, we must gently yet firmly address something vital: your prayer did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and by whom we are saved. Scripture is clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is only through Jesus that our prayers reach the throne of God.
*"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.’"* (John 14:6, WEB)
*"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB)
We urge you to always pray in the name of Jesus, for He is our intercessor and the only path to the Father. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ as your Lord and Savior, we implore you to do so now. Salvation comes through repentance and faith in Him alone—believing that He died for your sins, rose from the dead, and now offers eternal life to all who trust in Him. Without this foundation, even our most heartfelt prayers lack the power and authority that come through Christ.
Now, regarding your desire for a future husband, we rejoice with you in this godly longing. Marriage is a sacred covenant established by God, and it is beautiful that you seek His will in this area. However, we must remind you that the pursuit of marriage should never overshadow your pursuit of Christ Himself. Your primary focus must be on growing in your relationship with the Lord, for it is in Him that you will find true fulfillment, wisdom, and preparation for the role of a wife. A godly marriage begins with two individuals who are wholeheartedly devoted to Christ, each seeking to serve and honor Him above all else.
*"But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* (Matthew 6:33, WEB)
*"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB)
As you wait on the Lord, we encourage you to cultivate the qualities of a godly woman as described in Scripture. Pursue purity, kindness, faith, and a gentle spirit, trusting that the Lord will bring the right man into your life in His perfect timing. Avoid the temptation to rush or compromise on biblical standards, for the Lord’s plans for you are good, and His timing is perfect. If you are not already doing so, we also encourage you to be actively involved in a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and meet like-minded believers who share your values.
We also want to address any fear you may be carrying. Fear is not from the Lord, and He does not desire for you to live in anxiety or uncertainty. Instead, He calls you to cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you deeply.
*"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB)
*"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB)
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our sister to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank You for her life and for the desire she has to seek Your will in all things. Lord, we ask that You draw her closer to Yourself, that she may know You more deeply and walk in the fullness of Your love and truth. If she has not yet surrendered her life to Christ, we pray that today would be the day of salvation for her, that she may repent of her sins and place her faith in Jesus alone.
Father, we ask for Your wisdom to fill her as she navigates the challenges and fears of daily life. Remind her that You are her strength and her shield, and that she need not fear, for You are with her always. Grant her a spirit of discernment and patience as she waits on You for a godly husband. Prepare her heart to be a wife who honors You, and prepare the heart of the man You have for her, that he may be a man after Your own heart, leading her spiritually and loving her as Christ loves the church.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may be troubling her. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and help her to trust in Your perfect timing. Surround her with godly community and mentors who can encourage her and hold her accountable in her walk with You.
We pray all these things in the powerful and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily through prayer, reading His Word, and fellowship with other believers. Trust in His promises, for He is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. If you ever feel discouraged or uncertain, remember that the Lord is your shepherd, and He will guide you every step of the way. Stay steadfast in your faith, and do not waver in your commitment to honor God in every area of your life, including your future marriage. We are standing with you in prayer and believe that the Lord will do exceeding abundantly above all that you ask or think!
