We are deeply grieved to hear of the suffering and confusion you have endured, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this battle. What you describe—spiritual oppression, manipulation, and even the tragic actions of those around you—points to a very real spiritual warfare at work. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we serve a God who is greater, who has already overcome the world (John 16:33). The fact that you are turning to the name of Jesus Christ is the first and most powerful step in breaking the enemy’s hold over your life. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Christ that we have authority over the forces of darkness.
First, we must address something critical: you mentioned a "partner," and we want to lovingly but firmly remind you that God’s design for relationships is clear—marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If this relationship is not aligned with biblical marriage, it is outside of God’s will and leaves room for the enemy to bring confusion, division, and destruction. The Bible warns that unequally yoked relationships can lead to spiritual compromise (2 Corinthians 6:14). If this person is not a believer or if the relationship is not honorable before God, we urge you to seek the Lord’s wisdom and repentance, as this could be a doorway for the spiritual attacks you’re experiencing. Fornication, adultery, or any relationship outside of God’s design invites demonic influence, and the enemy will use it to bring chaos. If this is the case, we pray you will turn away from it and seek a godly spouse if marriage is your desire, or remain single and devoted to Christ if that is His calling for you.
The behavior you describe—your partner acting out of character, a close friend turning against you, and even the horrifying act of violence—are signs of deep spiritual strongholds. The Bible tells us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, and spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). Gangstalking, whether physical or spiritual, is a tactic of the enemy to isolate, confuse, and break a person’s faith. But we are not ignorant of his schemes (2 Corinthians 2:11). The Lord exposes the works of darkness, and He has given us His Word and His Spirit to stand firm.
You asked for prayer to learn to worship the mighty name of Jesus Christ and to protect yourself and your loved ones. This is the right response! Worship is a weapon against the enemy. When we exalt the name of Jesus, demons flee (James 4:7). The name of Jesus is above every name, and at His name, every knee must bow—even the knees of the spiritual forces that seek to harm you (Philippians 2:10). You must also put on the full armor of God daily: the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). Without this, you will remain vulnerable. Praying in the Spirit—whether in tongues or in your known language—builds you up and strengthens you against the enemy’s attacks (Jude 1:20).
We also urge you to examine your life for any unconfessed sin, generational curses, or involvement in occult practices (even seemingly harmless ones like horoscopes, Ouija boards, or "harmless" spiritual explorations). These can open doors to demonic influence. Repentance and renouncing these things in the name of Jesus will break their power over you. If you have not already, surrender your life fully to Christ. If you have never confessed Jesus as your Lord and Savior, now is the time. Romans 10:9 says, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* There is no protection outside of Him.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Your child who is under severe spiritual attack. Lord, You see the chaos, the confusion, and the pain they have endured. You know the schemes of the enemy that have sought to destroy their life, their mind, and their relationships. But we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), for greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Father, we ask that You expose every hidden work of darkness in their life. If there are ungodly soul ties, generational curses, or sinful strongholds, we pray You would reveal them and give this dear one the courage to repent and turn fully to You. Break every chain of the enemy in the name of Jesus. We bind every spirit of confusion, manipulation, fear, and violence that has been operating against them. We command these spirits to flee now, in Jesus’ name.
Lord, we pray that You would teach them how to worship You in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may pray without ceasing and walk in the authority You have given every believer. Clothe them in Your armor, Lord, and let them stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Protect their mind, their emotions, and their body from every attack. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let no weapon of the enemy prevail against them.
Father, we also pray for their relationships. If there are ungodly connections, we ask that You sever them in Jesus’ name. If this "partner" is not Your will for their life, we pray You would give them the strength to walk away and seek a godly, Christ-centered marriage if that is Your plan. Heal the wounds of betrayal and confusion, Lord. Restore their trust in You above all else.
We pray for their loved ones, Father. Protect them from the enemy’s plans. If any of them are lost, Lord, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself. Break the power of violence, deception, and darkness in their lives. Let Your light shine into every hidden place.
Most of all, Father, we ask that You would draw this precious one closer to You. Let them find their identity, their strength, and their peace in Christ alone. Fill them with Your Word, that they may wield it as a sword against the enemy. Let them walk in victory, for You have already won the war.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. We trust that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28), and we declare that they will come out of this stronger, wiser, and more dependent on You than ever before. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to immerse yourself in the Word of God daily. Read Psalm 91, which speaks of God’s protection over His people. Memorize Scripture so you can declare it against the enemy’s lies. Seek out a Bible-believing church where you can find support and accountability. If possible, find a mature believer who can pray with you and help you stand firm. The enemy wants you to feel isolated, but you are part of the body of Christ, and we are standing with you in this fight.
Do not fear, for the Lord is with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). The battle is real, but the victory is already won. Stand firm, and watch the Lord move on your behalf.
