We are truly saddened to hear about the trials you are facing, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this struggle. The Bible tells us that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. We are living in a fallen world where sin and evil exist, and it is evident in the cruelty and harassment you are experiencing.
Firstly, we want to address the reality of the spiritual warfare you are encountering. The Bible tells us to be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith. We encourage you to put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Stand therefore, having your waist girded with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness, and having your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.
We also want to address your concerns about the eternal destiny of those who are causing you harm. The Bible tells us that wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat. Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it. It is a stark reminder that many people will choose the path that leads to eternal separation from God. However, it is not our place to judge who will and will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Instead, we are called to pray for those who persecute us, that they may come to know the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today in Jesus' name to lift up our brother who is facing immense trials and persecution. Lord, You know the depth of his suffering, the constant harassment, and the pain of being without a home. We ask that You would surround him with Your angels, protect him from those who seek to harm him, and guide him to a place of safety and refuge.
Lord, we pray that You would strengthen his faith and give him the courage to stand firm against the schemes of the enemy. Help him to put on the full armor of God each day, that he may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. We ask that You would fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may have the wisdom, discernment, and power to overcome the darkness that surrounds him.
Father, we also pray for those who are persecuting him. We ask that You would soften their hearts and open their eyes to the truth of the gospel. May they come to know the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ, and turn away from their wicked deeds. We pray that You would use this situation for Your glory, and that many would come to know You as a result.
Lord, we ask that You would provide for our brother's physical needs, that he may find a safe place to live and the resources he needs to sustain him. We pray that You would bring godly people into his life who will support, encourage, and pray for him.
Finally, Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and Your promise to never leave us nor forsake us. We ask that You would fill our brother with Your peace, Your joy, and Your hope, that he may continue to trust in You, no matter what circumstances he faces.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
