Spiritual attack

I've been under spiritual attack for many years due to my own disobedience and the enemy is now trying to hold on and keep me backward even though Christ is delivering me from the disobedience that allowed these attacks in the first place. I'm so, SO tired. And in general, my life has so many problems. Please pray for me. Thank you.

We hear how weary you are and how honest you are about the disobedience that opened doors in the past, and we stand with you in prayer as you walk out of that and into the deliverance Christ is bringing. It is right that you recognize both your own responsibility and the reality of the enemy's opposition, for scripture tells us For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12 and Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour 1 Peter 5:8. The enemy will always try to hold on and keep you backward even after you have turned back to God, whispering that you are still defined by what you did and that you will never move forward.

We rebuke those lies together in the name of Jesus Christ, for when we confess and forsake sin God does not keep us in chains. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9 and As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us Psalm 103:12. There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus Romans 8:1. Christ has already triumphed over every power that accuses you, Having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it Colossians 2:15 and You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. We do not have to fight in our own strength, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds 2 Corinthians 10:4.

We also hear that you are so, so tired and that your life has many problems pressing in at once. The Lord sees that exhaustion and invites you to rest in Him. Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28 and He gives power to the faint; and to him who has no might he increases strength Isaiah 40:29. When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I Psalm 61:2. We encourage you not to give up in this wearying season, for Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up Galatians 6:9.

We encourage you to continue to submit fully to God and actively resist the enemy, for Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7. That means daily putting on the full armor of God Ephesians 6:11, staying in the Word, in prayer, in fellowship with other believers, and giving no place to the devil Ephesians 4:27 by closing every door of ongoing disobedience and renewing your mind according to Romans 12:2. Your deliverance is not by your striving alone but by His grace, for My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness 2 Corinthians 12:9. We thank God that you named Christ as your deliverer, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.

We pray together for you now. Father, we lift this weary one before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank You that You have forgiven and cleansed all confessed sin and that there is no condemnation for those in Christ. We ask You to break every remaining hold of the enemy that seeks to keep this life backward, and we command in Jesus name that every assignment of oppression, accusation, and heaviness must flee. Fill this heart with Your perfect peace and rest, renew strength to the faint, and lead to the Rock that is higher when overwhelmed. Give wisdom for each of the many problems, provide guidance, provision, and hope where there has been despair, and establish steps forward that honor You. Help our dear one to walk in steady obedience, to dwell in Your Word daily, and to know deeply that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. Let Your joy and freedom be restored and let Your will be done in this life for Your glory. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We hear how weary you are after carrying this for so many years, and we thank you for being honest about both the disobedience in the past and the deliverance Christ is bringing now. It makes sense you would feel pulled backward even while God is moving you forward, and that tiredness is real.

We want you to know God sees you in this long battle. The enemy would like to keep your eyes on what was, and keep you feeling stuck, but Christ is greater and He is already at work in you. Often His freedom comes not only in one dramatic moment but in a steady process over time, more like training for a long race than a single quick fix. Small faithful steps, day after day, matter more than trying to force everything to change at once.

One thing that helps many who feel worn down in this kind of season is not walking alone. Is there one or two steady, mature believers you trust who can know how you are really doing week to week and pray with you regularly? Staying connected in that kind of simple fellowship, along with a gentle daily rhythm of prayer and time in Scripture, can help you keep your eyes on Christ as He continues His work.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. You see the years of struggle and how tired they are. We ask for Your rest and renewal, for continued freedom from what has held them back, and for strength to keep walking with You day by day. Guard their heart and mind, surround them with faithful community, and help them sense Your nearness and Your direction. We trust them to Your care and Your will. In Jesus name, amen.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Your honest confession and weariness have been heard, and we take your burden before the throne of grace with you. To be tired after many years of conflict is no strange thing to the people of God, and to feel the enemy trying to hold you backward even as Christ is delivering you is a pain that many saints have known.

Know this, that your deliverance is not in your own strength to hold fast, but in His strength to hold you. Knowledge of God is a divine armor by which we are able to ward off all the blows of the enemy. To know yourself will make you miserable, but to know your God will make you rejoice with joy unspeakable. You have confessed that your own disobedience opened the door to these attacks. That honesty is right before the Lord, yet you must not now measure your hope by your own steadfastness. He feels that if he ever rises from his despondency, he can never dare to take an atom of the honor of deliverance to himself, it must be of Free Grace only. He can do nothing and he knows it. So it is with you. He brought them forth. Not they brought themselves forth, but He brought them forth.

Our great enemy has been overcome, and his head is broken. Not Sisera, but Satan has been overthrown, the seed of the woman has bruised his head for ever. We are ransomed from the galling yoke and walk at liberty through the power of the great Liberator, the Lord Jesus Christ. God has not only invented a way of deliverance, but He has found a ransom, so that it is a gift of Divine Love. The prisoner is ready to be executed, but there comes to him undeserved deliverance from all punishment, for the King's own Son has borne the penalty of all his iniquities. Sinner, do not doubt your deliverance, for God has said it, I have found a ransom. That ransom is Christ Himself, and it avails both for pardon from the guilt of sin and for power over its dominion. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. Where we look for justification, there must we also look for sanctification.

Do not think that the Lord has shut His ear against you, or that He will let you become the prey of His great enemy. My enemy struck at me and he might make me fall, but in very truth my gracious God was using him to chasten me that I might not fall. The enemy is moved by malice, but God is working by him in love to your soul. Even Egypt may represent those states of sorrow and sadness, depression and oppression, into which God's people come far too frequently, yet the Lord makes their deliverance effectual and in every deed He brings them forth, and that deliverance came when the lamb was slain.

We are praying for you, that the Lord would give you rest in Christ who says, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. We pray that He would lift from you the heaviness of many problems, that He would give you a fresh sight of the ransom found, that He would clothe you with the armor of knowing Him, and that He would cause the arch enemy to fly away confounded as you resist him in the name of Jesus. Seek first the kingdom of God and obedience to Him, and then deliverance shall be added unto you. Rest your soul upon Him and God will yet come to your deliverance, and you shall live to declare His name and His praise with grateful thanksgiving for great deliverance.

Thank you for sharing so honestly about your weariness and the long battle you have been facing. To be tired after years of struggle is understandable, and God sees both your fatigue and your desire to turn from the disobedience that opened the door to these attacks.

Be encouraged that Christ is already delivering you. Scripture shows that His coming had two great purposes, to deliver us from evil and to bring us into sonship, so that we are no longer strangers but children who have received the Spirit of adoption and have put on Christ. The enemy may try to hold on and keep you backward, but he has no right to keep those whom Christ is cleansing and claiming as His own.

God in His patience has given you space for this very turning. He is righteous and powerful and will judge, yet He is also longsuffering, not sweeping us away for every sin but granting time for repentance so that we may put off what is past. That delay is mercy, and it is meant to lead you to a full deliverance as you bring a genuine purpose of heart before Him.

True repentance is more than tears alone, though tears have their place. There is a sorrow that is of God, which works repentance unto salvation without regret, and it brings healing rather than despair. It is not like the sorrow of Esau, who sought the blessing with tears but did not truly turn in his heart. It is like the woman who came to Jesus weeping, washing His feet with her tears, whose outward acts flowed from a fervent inward love and was received with joy by the Lord who alone sees the heart. Even when we have fallen deeply, even after great and many sins, repentance has great power to set us free and to let Christ be formed in us again. The example of Manasseh shows that after countless pollutions, he was washed clean through repentance and a changed mind.

The Church is given to us as a spiritual bath for the soul, where stains are washed away by the many ways of repentance, through confession, prayer, hearing the Word, and turning from sin. Do not stay alone in this fight. Stay close to Christ, stay close to His body, and keep bringing your heart into the light.

I pray for you now. Father in heaven, I lift up this weary one to You through Jesus Christ Your Son, the only Savior. You know the weight of these many years and the many problems that press on this life. Grant rest to the tired heart and strength to keep looking to Jesus. Forgive every disobedience that is confessed before You, wash it away, and break every hold of the enemy that seeks to keep Your child backward. Fill this heart with godly sorrow that leads to lasting repentance and with the joy that springs from being forgiven. Form Christ more fully within, and by Your Holy Spirit give assurance of sonship and power to walk in new obedience. Guard from discouragement, renew hope day by day, and bring full deliverance in Your perfect time. Lead into a life of steady amendment and peace, and let Your grace be sufficient for each step.
