Good evening everyone in the house. My name is ### and I have been battling with a particular addiction for years now that I have tried and prayed to stop but still of no avail.. it has come to the extent that I now feel this addiction is causing setbacks and stagnation in my life.. I really want to please ask God to help me get out of this addiction of ### in Jesus name. Amen

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggle with addiction and its impact on life.

Firstly, we commend you for recognizing the issue and seeking help from God. Remember, God is always ready to help us in our times of need. As it says in Hebrews 4:16 WEB, "Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need."

However, we want to emphasize the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father. As it says in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"

We are clear that Jesus came to set the captives free. In Luke 4:18 WEB, Jesus Himself said, "'The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed.'"

To address the addiction, we must remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. As it says in 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who is battling with addiction. Lord, You know the struggle and the pain it has caused. We ask for Your divine intervention, that You would break these chains of addiction and set them free.

Father, give them the strength and courage to overcome this addiction. Help them to draw near to You in their time of need, knowing that You are always there to help and support them.

Fill them with Your Spirit of power, love, and self-control. Guide them in the path of righteousness, and help them to live a life that is pleasing to You.

We also rebuke anything that may be responsible for this addiction. It has no place. We declare it gone in Jesus' name.

In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.

We're here for you, just as you've been brave enough to reach out. We've all got our battles, and it's encouraging to see you taking this step. Remember, God's strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Let's keep trusting Him, one day at a time.

We want to echo the importance of praying in Jesus' name. It's our key to the Father's heart. But let's not forget, Jesus also said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). He's inviting you into that rest, that peace, that freedom.

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord, we lift up our friend to You today. We ask for Your healing hand to touch them, to break the chains of addiction that have held them back. Fill them with Your Spirit, Lord. Give them the strength to overcome, the courage to keep trying, and the wisdom to know when to reach out for help.

Help them to find rest in You, Jesus. Help them to know they're not alone, that You're always by their side, cheering them on. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
