Spirit of rejection and abuse

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Hello, I suffer from rejection. I get always rejected at work, no matter how hard I work and how nice I am to my colleagues. People in authority often reject or misunderstand me. I do not have success, despite a good masters degree. I get overlooked, underestimated, sometimes even bullied. My boss suspects me to be incapable. I applied to a course, but I get rejected three times. I do not have a husband. I get constantly rejected in areas of career, studies, friendships, and courtship. It is sad, especially the problem with career, as I worked hard and think it is important to have a good work ethic. My parents abused me as a child and I am in a season of healing and restoration. I believe in the Lord and pray about this, but things are changing slowly. Please pray for me to be patient, continue and not give up, and that rejection leaves me, things get better at work, maybe I can study and find a partner. It seems like all doors are closed. I got diagnosed with depression due to all the rejection I suffered. Also, I am afraid of getting bullied again, please pray for me to heal from bullying. Thank you!

We hear the deep pain in your words, and our hearts ache with yours as we lift you before the Lord. The spirit of rejection is a heavy burden, one that seeks to distort your identity and steal your hope. But we declare that this is not your portion, for you are a child of the Most High God, fearfully and wonderfully made in His image. The enemy may have used rejection and abuse to wound you, but Jesus came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free. We stand with you in agreement, believing that God’s healing and restoration are already at work in your life.

First, we want to address the root of rejection in your life. Childhood abuse often plants seeds of lies—lies that tell you that you are unworthy, unlovable, or incapable. But the Word of God declares otherwise. Psalm 139:13-14 says, "For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well." You are not defined by the rejection of man but by the love of your Heavenly Father. He sees your hard work, your kindness, and your perseverance, and He delights in you. The rejection you face in the workplace, in studies, and even in courtship is not a reflection of your worth but a tool the enemy uses to keep you from walking in the fullness of God’s purpose for you.

We rebuke the spirit of rejection in the name of Jesus Christ. We command it to loose its grip on your mind, your emotions, and your circumstances. Every assignment of the enemy to isolate you, discourage you, or make you feel overlooked is broken now by the blood of Jesus. We declare that doors of opportunity are opening for you—doors that no man can shut. Isaiah 43:18-19 says, "Don’t remember the former things, and don’t consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert." God is doing a new thing in your life, and we pray that your eyes would be opened to see His hand at work.

We also address the fear of bullying and the depression that has taken root in your heart. We pray for healing from the trauma of past abuse and bullying. The Lord is your refuge and your strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 34:18-19 says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." We pray that God would surround you with His peace, that He would heal the wounds in your soul, and that He would fill you with His joy. Depression may tell you that things will never change, but we declare that God is your healer and your deliverer. We pray that you would experience His presence in a tangible way, lifting the heaviness from your heart.

Regarding your desire for a husband, we encourage you to seek the Lord first and trust in His timing. Proverbs 19:14 says, "House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from Yahweh." God knows the desires of your heart, and He is able to bring the right man into your life at the right time. Until then, we pray that you would grow in your relationship with Him, that you would find your identity and worth in Him alone, and that you would be content in His love. We also rebuke any spirit of loneliness that seeks to make you feel incomplete. You are whole in Christ, and He is enough for you.

For your career and studies, we pray that God would open the right doors for you. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that God would guide your steps, that He would give you favor with those in authority, and that He would bless the work of your hands. We declare that your hard work and good work ethic will not go unnoticed. God sees your efforts, and He will reward you. We also pray that you would find a community of believers who will encourage you, support you, and stand with you in faith.

We want to remind you that your healing and breakthrough are not dependent on your own strength but on the power of the Holy Spirit. Philippians 4:13 says, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." You are not alone in this battle. The Lord is with you, and we stand with you in prayer, believing that God is working all things together for your good.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is burdened by the spirit of rejection and the pain of past abuse. Lord, we thank You that she is fearfully and wonderfully made, that You have a plan and a purpose for her life, and that You are her healer and her deliverer. We rebuke the spirit of rejection in Jesus’ name, and we command it to leave her life now. We break every chain of abuse, bullying, and depression that has bound her, and we declare that she is free in Christ.

Lord, we ask that You would heal the wounds in her heart and restore what has been stolen from her. Fill her with Your peace, Your joy, and Your love. Open the right doors for her in her career, her studies, and her relationships. Give her favor with those in authority, and let her hard work be recognized and rewarded. Father, we pray that You would bring the right man into her life at the right time, a man who loves You and will cherish her as the gift that she is.

We pray for patience and perseverance for her, that she would not grow weary in doing good but would trust in Your timing. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and let her see Your hand at work in her life. Surround her with a community of believers who will encourage her and stand with her in faith. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper, and that every tongue that rises against her in judgment shall be condemned.

Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and Your love. We trust in You, and we believe that You are working all things together for her good. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Dear friend, we hear your heart's cry and we're here for you. We know the pain of rejection and abuse can feel overwhelming, but remember, you are never alone. Jesus is by your side, and so are we.

We want to encourage you, first and foremost, to keep trusting in the Lord. He sees your hard work, your kindness, and your perseverance. He delights in you, and He has a purpose for your life. The rejection you face is not a reflection of your worth, but a tool the enemy uses to keep you from walking in the fullness of God's purpose for you.

We pray that you would find your identity and worth in Christ alone. He is enough for you. In Him, you are complete, and you are whole. We also pray that you would find contentment in His love, knowing that He is with you every step of the way.

For your career and studies, we pray that God would open the right doors for you. We declare that your hard work and good work ethic will not go unnoticed. God sees your efforts, and He will reward you. We also pray that you would find a community of believers who will encourage you, support you, and stand with you in faith.
