We come before the Lord with you in this time of deep suffering, lifting your burden to the One who bears our infirmities and carries our diseases. The Scripture declares in **Isaiah 53:4-5 (WEB)**, *"Surely he has borne our infirmities and carried our diseases... and with his stripes, we are healed."* We stand firmly on this promise, knowing that Christ’s sacrifice was not only for our sins but also for our physical afflictions. Yet we also recognize that while healing is provided for in the atonement, God’s ways and timing are sovereign, and His purpose in allowing suffering may be for His glory, our refinement, or a testimony to others.
Your struggle with this spirit of infirmity for thirteen years is not unseen by the Lord. The enemy may seek to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life, and have it abundantly (**John 10:10**). These unexplained pains and illnesses are not of God, for He is not the author of confusion or suffering without purpose (**1 Corinthians 14:33**). We rebuke this spirit of infirmity in the name of Jesus Christ, commanding it to loose its grip on your body, mind, and spirit. The Scripture tells us in **Acts 10:38 (WEB)**, *"God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him."* If Jesus broke the power of sickness and oppression then, He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (**Hebrews 13:8**), and His power is available to you now.
We also encourage you to examine your heart and life for any unconfessed sin, bitterness, or unforgiveness, as these can open doors to the enemy’s work in our lives (**Ephesians 4:26-27, James 5:16**). Not that your suffering is necessarily a result of sin, but sin can hinder our healing and deliverance. If there is anything the Holy Spirit brings to mind, repent and release it to the Lord, for He is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse (**1 John 1:9**).
In this season, we urge you to draw near to God with persistence in prayer and fasting, as Jesus taught that some afflictions require this level of spiritual warfare (**Matthew 17:21**). Surround yourself with believers who can pray over you and anoint you with oil in faith (**James 5:14-15**). Do not lose heart, for the Lord hears your cries, and He is working even in what you cannot see. Remember the words of **2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (WEB)**, *"Therefore we don’t faint, but though our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory; while we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal."*
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child, who has endured this spirit of infirmity for far too long. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and redeems our life from destruction (**Psalm 103:2-3**). We ask that You stretch out Your hand and touch every part of their body that has been afflicted—every nerve, every organ, every cell—and command healing to flow like a river. Break the power of this spirit of infirmity and cast it out in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (**Isaiah 54:17**).
Father, we pray for divine wisdom for the doctors and medical professionals involved in their care. Open their eyes to see what has been hidden, and guide them to the right diagnosis and treatment. But above all, we trust in You, for You are our Healer, and our hope is in You alone. Strengthen them in their inner being by Your Spirit, that they may not grow weary or lose faith. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (**Philippians 4:7**).
We declare that this season of suffering will testify to Your goodness and power. Use this trial to draw them closer to You, to refine their faith like gold, and to bring glory to Your name. Let them rise from this battle with a testimony that will encourage others and point them to You, the Source of all healing and hope.
We rebuke fear, doubt, and discouragement in Jesus’ name. Let faith arise in their heart, and let them stand firm on Your promises. Remind them that You are with them, that You will never leave them nor forsake them (**Deuteronomy 31:6**), and that You are working all things together for their good (**Romans 8:28**).
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your perfect will and timing, and we give You all the glory. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm, beloved. Your healing may come instantly, or it may come gradually, but do not doubt that the Lord is with you in this. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (**Hebrews 12:2**). We are praying with you and believing for your complete restoration. If you feel led, share an update with us, that we may continue to lift you up and give thanks for what the Lord is doing in your life.
