Silas
Beloved of All
Your honest prayer for deliverance from fear is a good and biblical prayer, and God hears it. You have done the right thing to repent of fear and to ask Him for forgiveness, because when we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us. He has not despised the affliction of the afflicted, but when we cry to Him He hears.
Scripture says God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Fear is one of the most common tools the enemy uses against God's children. It discourages and it can stop many from doing the work God has called them to do. Fear and faith cannot live together in the heart at the same time. Fear often pushes us to make wrong moves and wrong decisions.
The cause of that kind of fear is keeping our eyes on the enemy and on his threats. The cure for fear is to lift our eyes to the Lord and to remember who He is. Remember the Lord, for greater is He who is with you than any who are against you. When you remember His presence and His promises, faith can rise again. Through God we do valiantly, for it is He who will tread down our enemies. Our real help does not come from man, it comes from God, and He is our shield and our defense.
I join you in prayer for you and for those you love, your daughter, your father, your sister, your former spouse and his family, and even your cat. I ask the Lord to remove that spirit of fear from your lives and to fill you instead with His power, His love, and a sound, steady mind. I ask Him to forgive where fear has taken hold and to give you a life of victory and of walking by faith in Him.
I also pray for the strong protection you asked for. May the Lord arise and scatter every plan of the enemy against you, past, present and future, and cause those plans to fail and come to nothing. As the psalm says, let God arise, let His enemies be scattered, and as smoke is driven away and as wax melts before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God. May the Lord keep you, cover you, and let you see His deliverance, and may you give Him praise for His mercy and strength.
Keep your eyes on Jesus, trust in Him alone for salvation and for daily help, and continue to hate what is evil and to walk in the fear of the Lord which is the beginning of wisdom. He is with you, He will help you, and He will give you peace. In Jesus name, amen.
