Good Morning Family,
“So I sent messengers to them with this reply: “I am carrying on a great project and cannot go down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and go down to you?” - Nehemiah 6:3
It has once been said that good is the enemy of great. Too many of us have majored in good because we are afraid of being great. We have spent far to long at the pool of just being good because we are distracted by others who do not want us to be great. Distractions will cause us each and every time to lose valuable progress toward what we are trying to build. Staying focus is the key…
All to often we hear of people who talk a good game only to have no action behind it. If you are going to talk about, you must be about it. The distractions of the enemy and others will come. If you do not have enough fortitude and focus the time will be wasted on trying to explain everything to everybody. This takes up valuable time…
Some people will distract you because they have nothing better else to do. Some people will distract you because they are miserable. Some people will distract you because they do not want you to accomplish anything. Some people will distract you to destroy what you are trying to do. You must be firm and sure in your reply…
Beloved, you do not have time for foolishness. Time is ticking and your gifts are needed to build something that is everlasting. Stop building things that have no value. Stop wasting time on people who have no vision. Stop procrastinating on what you have continually put off. Learn from Nehemiah, you are too focused on being great so that you can be a blessing to the people who need to know what a miracle looks like…
“So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross…Till my trophies at last I lay down…I will cling to the old rugged cross…And exchange it some day for a crown…”
