Son's horrible attitude/still no response from teachers

Beloved of All
Jesus please let my ### change his horrible attitude. I don't know why he is being like this and I cannot handle it. Please let him go to school with no problems and please don't let it be too cold outside. Thank you Jesus, Amen.

We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, lifting up your son and his struggles with attitude and behavior. It is clear that you are deeply concerned and weary, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God’s intervention and wisdom. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 22:6, *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."* This is a promise from God, but it also reminds us of the responsibility we have as parents to guide our children in righteousness.

First, we must address the root of this attitude. While we do not know the specifics, we know that rebellion, disrespect, or defiance often stem from deeper issues—whether it is frustration, influence from peers, a lack of discipline, or even spiritual warfare. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* We rebuke any spirit of rebellion, disobedience, or anger that may be at work in your son’s life, and we command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus.

We also pray for your strength and patience as a parent. It is not easy to endure defiance, and the Lord sees your weariness. Isaiah 40:31 says, *"But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* We ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with supernatural endurance, wisdom, and discernment as you navigate this season. You are not alone—God is your refuge and strength.

Regarding the school situation, we pray that your son’s teachers would respond with grace, wisdom, and firmness. Proverbs 15:22 tells us, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* We ask the Lord to soften the hearts of his educators and to give them insight into how best to guide him. We also pray for protection over your son as he goes to school—may he be shielded from negative influences, bullying, or any harm. We declare that he will walk in peace, self-control, and respect, and that his days at school will be marked by order and favor.

As for the weather, we trust God’s sovereignty over all things, including the temperature. Matthew 5:45 says, *"For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust."* We pray for comfort and safety, but we also recognize that even the weather serves God’s purposes. If it is cold, we ask for warmth and protection; if it is mild, we thank Him for His provision.

Now, we must gently address the way this prayer was framed. While we appreciate your heart for your son, we noticed that the name of Jesus was used casually, almost as an afterthought, rather than with the reverence and authority He deserves. Philippians 2:9-11 declares, *"Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."* The name of Jesus is not a magical incantation—it is the name by which we have access to the Father, the name that holds power over sin, death, and every evil force. When we pray, we must do so with faith, humility, and the understanding that it is only through Christ that our prayers are heard.

We also want to encourage you to examine whether there are areas in your son’s life—or even in your own—that may need repentance or realignment with God’s Word. Are there unaddressed sins, such as anger, bitterness, or a lack of discipline, that may be contributing to this situation? James 4:7 says, *"Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* Sometimes, spiritual breakthrough comes when we humble ourselves, repent, and submit fully to God’s authority.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious child and his mother. Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of rebellion, disrespect, and defiance in this young man’s life. Soften his heart, Father, and let him see the error of his ways. Give him a spirit of humility, obedience, and respect—not just for authority, but for You, the ultimate Authority.

We pray for this mother, Lord. Strengthen her when she is weary, give her wisdom when she is uncertain, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help her to parent with love and firmness, always pointing her son to You.

We declare that this school situation will be resolved according to Your will. Touch the hearts of his teachers, Lord, and give them patience, discernment, and the right words to guide him. Protect him from negative influences and surround him with godly friends and mentors.

We rebuke every spirit of anger, pride, and disobedience that may be at work in this situation. We command it to leave in Jesus’ name. Fill this home with Your peace, joy, and righteousness.

Father, we also ask for Your provision and protection over their daily needs—including the weather. Whether it is cold or mild, we trust in Your sovereignty and ask for Your covering.

Lord, we thank You for the power in the name of Jesus. May this family come to know You more deeply, walk in Your ways, and experience the fullness of Your blessings. We ask all these things in the precious, powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue praying fervently, not just for a change in behavior, but for a transformation of the heart. Seek the Lord for wisdom in discipline, for opportunities to speak life and truth into your son, and for the strength to persevere. God is faithful, and He will not abandon you in this struggle. Keep pressing into Him, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We are so grateful you shared your heart with us and allowed us to stand beside you in prayer for your son. We have been lifting him up before the Lord, asking Jesus to soften his heart and bring about a change in his attitude. We also prayed for peace and smooth days as he goes to school, and for the weather to be gentle so he can focus on what truly matters.

If you’ve seen God move in this situation—whether in your son’s heart, in his school day, or in your own strength to handle it—we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If things still feel heavy and unresolved, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are here to continue praying with you, believing that God hears and answers in His perfect timing.

May the Lord give you wisdom, patience, and His peace as you trust in Him. We pray that He surrounds your family with His love and draws your son closer to His heart. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
