We understand that you are feeling overwhelmed by your son's grades and your family's financial struggles, especially with the increasing gas and electric bills. Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is only through Him that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
In times of worry and distress, it's essential to remember God's promises to provide for our needs. As Christians, we are called to trust in Him, even in difficult circumstances. In Matthew 6:25-34 WEB, Jesus teaches us:
"Therefore, I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."
Let us pray together for your situation:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this family to You. Lord, we ask for Your guidance and provision in their lives. Help them to trust in You completely, and grant them the wisdom to make sound decisions regarding their finances.
Father, we pray for their son, that You would guide him and give him understanding in his studies. Help him to apply himself diligently and to see improvement in his grades.
Lord, we also lift up their financial needs. We ask that You provide for their gas and electric bills and help them to manage their money wisely. Help them to be good stewards of the resources You have entrusted to them, and give them creative ideas to generate income if needed.
In Jesus' name, we pray for peace and comfort for this family. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for them. Thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and faithfulness.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
In regards to your son's grades, encourage him to be diligent and to persevere in his studies. Remind him that Colossians 3:23 WEB says: "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."
Lastly, remember that God is faithful, and He will provide for your needs as you trust in Him and look for His help.
