I'm asking for prayers for my son. He was married 4 years ago. His wife was killed in a car accident when they had only been married for 1 1/2 years. He had always wanted to open a business, so he took some of the money he had received from her insurance and opened up a restaurant. He met this girl about a year ago and on 9/14/08 they got married. I think he has made a big mistake. I know some of you may say that is a mother speaking, but his friends feel the same way. He lives in another state, so I'm not there to see him much. He has completely changed since he met this girl. He was always an organized, intelligent person, very down to earth and level headed, but he is so different now. He is loosing his business and will have to claim bankruptcy. The economy is not good now and I'm sure part of that is the reason things didn't work out, but since he met her he has spent all of his money, ran up his credit cards and is so disorganized. He has never ever had problem handling his money. This girl the week before they got married told him she was going out with her girlfriend and then didn't come home for 2 days. She didn't answer the phone when he called. She has a little boy from a previous relationship that lives with them and she didn't even call to make sure he was OK. I'm so worried about him. Please pray that he comes to his senses. If their marriage is to be, please ask God to intersede in his life and make them work together. His first wife was a Christian and was devoutly in love with the Lord. You couldn't ask for a more wonderful person. I just don't understand how he could go such the opposite way. He became a Christian to. I don't know if he was just so lonely or what. This girl is going to run him into the ground. In the last year they have bought all these new things for the house and he didn't even have any money coming in. She went and spent $2000 getting extensions in her hair for their wedding. He needs to find a job when they come back from their honeymoon. He is a very intelligent person and shouldn't have trouble finding a job, but the way he has been acting lately I'm not sure he will be able to keep one. She does not work.

I'm sorry to rattle on, but I'm very upset. Please pray for him. Pray for me that God gives me the strength to just let Him handle it. I know He has is reasons for this, but it's hard for me not to worry.

Merciful God: We lift up to you all of Palace's concerns knowing that you are with her and know all of the details. We seek your help to comfort her son from the grief of the loss of the first wife. Help him over come that. Intervene in the problem of his mindset. Give him your knowledge, forsight and clarity so that he is not taken by evil or confusion. Work in the heart of his new wife. Settle her down. Take care of her need to spend carelessly. Give her your grace so that she can be your woman. Help take care of his needs for a job and help him deal with the debt and failed business. We know that you can work all things for good and so we seek that in this situation. We also need your help for Palace. She is hurting and worried. Give her your peace and support her with your love. Let her know how to respond to her son and his new wife so that their relationship is stronger and based on faith in you and your love. In Jesus name, Amen.

Dear God, i just pray that his eyes will opened. that he will see what he has done. what he has done to his very promising life. i pray that the holy spirit will direct him and lead him back to the path of the upright in heart. that even if he has to change his ways and struggle to get there he will know that it will be worth it in the end. i pray that he will know not only what he has done to his friends but also his family. i pray that his wife will become even more devout in a newly begun christian faith than his previous wife. i pray that you will give them all of their needs when they have put their trust in you. in Jesus name, Amen =)

Dear Lord, bless this worried mothers mind. Mothers usually are right. There concerns are for their children and they know more than any other what might be happening. Fortunately Lord, you are the answer to every problem. God, make a way for this new family to get on their feet and to give you all the credit along the way. Jesus, thank you for all you do, we love you. Amen.

Dearest Lord I ask that you would move in this situation. God you know all and can do all. God please change what needs changing and by your grace, may all that are involved with this situation be able to find some way to come together as a family. God I know this mother is not delighted by her Sons choice of a bride. I am sure she has many reasons, but Lord let her find it in her heart to try to extend her years of love and nurturing and wisdom to this new wife. God make this wife's heart open and receptive to the guidance of her Mother-in-Law, I pray that you give her respect and admiration. I am ask that you make them as close as Naomi and Ruth. God you can do anything and I know you can handle this problem. Dearest Lord Bless this mother with every good thing that your hands hold for her and turn this situation into one that is a blessing for all involved. Thank you for hearing my prayer.
