We hear your heartfelt request, and we join with you in bringing this matter before the Lord. First, we must address the importance of coming to God in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). Jesus Himself said, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you" (John 16:23). It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His name alone that we are saved (Acts 4:12).

Now, concerning your request about your son, we understand that you desire a change in his plans. While it is natural to want certain outcomes, we must remember that God’s ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). Instead of praying for a specific date or circumstance, let us pray for God’s perfect will to be done in your son’s life and in yours. We should also pray for wisdom, peace, and trust in God’s timing, for "the Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him" (Lamentations 3:25).

We also encourage you to consider whether there may be deeper concerns or fears behind this request. Are you anxious about something specific? If so, we urge you to surrender those fears to the Lord, for "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7). Trust that God is in control of every detail of your life and your son’s life.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one and her son to You, asking for Your perfect will to be done in their lives. Father, we know that Your plans are for good and not for harm, to give a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We ask that You grant wisdom and peace as they navigate this situation. If there is any fear or anxiety in her heart, Lord, we ask that You replace it with trust in You. Help her to rest in the knowledge that You hold all things in Your hands.

Father, we pray for her son, that You would guide his steps and order his days according to Your purpose. May he be a man who seeks You and walks in Your ways. If there is any uncertainty or confusion in his heart, Lord, bring clarity and direction. We ask that You would strengthen their relationship and draw them both closer to You.

Lord, we also pray for patience and faith. Help this dear one to wait on You, knowing that Your timing is perfect. Give her the assurance that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). We trust You, Father, and we surrender this situation into Your hands. May Your name be glorified in all things. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer, trusting that He hears you and will answer according to His perfect will. If there are deeper concerns or unspoken fears, we urge you to bring them before the Lord as well. He cares for you deeply and desires to draw you closer to Him. Keep your heart open to His leading, and remember that "the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:7).
