We are joining our hearts together in prayer for your son's release from prison and his journey to a new life. We are thankful that you have acknowledged the name of Jesus, as it is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is by His name that we are saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
As we pray for your son's parole, we also pray for his spiritual freedom. True freedom comes from knowing Jesus Christ. "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36 WEB). We pray that your son will use this time to draw closer to God, to seek His will, and to find that true freedom that only Christ can offer.
We also want to encourage you, as a father, to continue to be a godly example for your son. Remember the words of Psalm 1:1-2 WEB, "Blessed is the man who doesn't walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in Yahweh's law. On his law he meditates day and night." Your walk with God will greatly influence your son.
Let us pray together.
Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this family and their son who is in prison. We ask, Lord, that You will grant him a godly sorrow that leads to repentance, and that he will be truly free in Christ. We pray for favor with the parole board, and if it is Your will, that he will be released and begin a new life, walking in Your ways. We pray for this family, that You will give them strength, patience, and wisdom as they support their son. Help them to be a light that guides him to You. We ask all of this in Jesus' name, Amen.
