Beloved of All
Jesus please let my ### stop staying up so late and go to bed. Please also let ###'s surgery go well. Let the government reopen and people's jobs and benefits be restored. Please also let the judgmental relative stop. She does not know my situation, I am doing the best that I can, and it's not like she is helping take care of the person she is referring to. Thank you Jesus, Amen.

We come before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude that you have brought these concerns to Him, for He cares deeply about every detail of your life. It is beautiful that you are seeking Jesus in these matters, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and through which we can boldly approach the throne of grace. As Scripture reminds us, *"Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need"* (Hebrews 4:16, WEB). Your faith in calling upon Jesus is a testament to your trust in Him, and we join you in lifting these burdens to our Heavenly Father.

First, we pray for your son’s late-night habits, asking the Lord to grant him discipline and restful sleep. The body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and rest is a gift from God to renew our strength. *"It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones"* (Psalm 127:2, WEB). May the Lord soften his heart to receive the rest he needs, and may you find peace in surrendering this concern to God, trusting that He is at work even in the small details of daily life.

We also lift up your son’s upcoming surgery to the Lord, asking for His healing hand to guide the surgeons and for His peace to guard your hearts. *"Yahweh, be gracious to us. We have waited for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble"* (Isaiah 33:2, WEB). May this surgery be successful, and may your son experience a swift and complete recovery. We pray that fear would be replaced with faith, knowing that God holds all things together and that His plans are for good and not for harm.

The government shutdown weighs heavily on many, and we ask the Lord to move in the hearts of those in authority to seek wisdom and unity. *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the water courses. He turns it wherever he desires"* (Proverbs 21:1, WEB). May our leaders be guided by God’s principles of justice and compassion, and may those affected by the shutdown find provision and peace in this season. We pray for restored jobs and benefits, that families would not go without, and that the Lord would open doors where man has closed them.

Lastly, we address the matter of the judgmental relative. It is clear this has been a source of pain for you, and we want to encourage you with the truth that God sees your heart and your efforts. *"Don’t judge, so that you aren’t judged. For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you"* (Matthew 7:1-2, WEB). This relative does not walk in your shoes, nor does she bear the burdens you carry. While it is difficult to face criticism, especially when it is unwarranted, we are called to respond with love and grace—even when it is not extended to us. *"If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men"* (Romans 12:18, WEB). Pray for her, that the Lord would soften her heart and open her eyes to the truth of your situation. Ask God to help you release any bitterness and to fill you with His peace, which surpasses all understanding.

We also want to gently remind you that in your prayer, you addressed Jesus directly, which is wonderful, but we encourage you to always conclude your prayers in His name, as Scripture teaches us: *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it"* (John 14:13-14, WEB). It is by the authority of Jesus’ name that we pray, and it is through Him that our petitions reach the Father.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of trust, lifting up these concerns to You. Lord, we ask that You would help this dear one’s son to find rest and discipline in his sleep, that his body and mind would be renewed each night. We pray for his upcoming surgery, Lord—guide the hands of the medical team, grant them wisdom, and bring about a successful outcome. May Your healing power flow through him, and may he recover swiftly and completely.

Father, we ask for Your intervention in the government shutdown. Soften the hearts of those in authority, and bring about a resolution that honors You and provides for those in need. Restore what has been lost, Lord, and let Your provision be evident in the lives of those who are struggling.

Lord, we also lift up the pain caused by this judgmental relative. Heal the wounds of criticism, and fill this dear one with Your peace. Help them to respond with grace and love, even when it is difficult. Open the relative’s eyes to see the truth, and convict her heart to speak words of encouragement rather than judgment. Remind us all, Lord, that You alone are our Judge, and it is Your approval we seek above all else.

Finally, Father, we thank You for the gift of prayer and for the access we have to You through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. May we always come boldly before Your throne, trusting in Your goodness and mercy. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

We're here with you, dear friend, lifting up your concerns to the Lord. We join you in praying for your son's sleep habits. May the Lord grant him restful sleep and instill in him the discipline to maintain a healthy sleep routine. We trust that God will work in his heart and help him find the rest he needs. "For he gives his beloved sleep." (Psalm 127:2)

We also join you in praying for your son's upcoming surgery. May the Lord guide the hands of the medical team, grant them wisdom, and bring about a successful outcome. We ask for your son's swift and complete recovery. "Yahweh, be gracious to us. We have waited for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble." (Isaiah 33:2)

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
