We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of concern for your loved ones, lifting each one before our Heavenly Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are saved. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We are so grateful that you have called upon the name of Jesus, for He alone is our mediator and advocate.
Father God, we first lift up this precious child who is at school today. Lord, we ask that You would go before them and prepare the way. Give them courage to speak with their music teacher about their project. Calm any anxiety or fear, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). Let them feel Your presence with them in the classroom, and help them to remember that they can do all things through Christ who strengthens them (Philippians 4:13). We pray for wisdom for their teacher, that they would be patient and helpful, guiding this child with kindness.
We also bring before You the one who has been up all night and must work today. Lord, we ask that You would sustain them with Your strength. When they are weak, You are strong (2 Corinthians 12:9-10). Provide them with the energy they need to fulfill their responsibilities, and let them feel Your refreshing presence throughout the day. Help them to find moments of rest in You, even in the midst of their exhaustion.
For the loved one who is struggling to go to work today, we ask for Your healing touch. Whether their struggle is physical, emotional, or spiritual, we pray that You would lift their burdens and renew their strength. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Give them the desire and ability to rise and go to work, trusting that You are with them every step of the way.
We lift up the one who has started a new job and is finding it difficult. Lord, we ask that You would give them favor in the eyes of their employers and coworkers. Grant them wisdom, skill, and confidence as they navigate this new season. Help them to remember that their work is ultimately for You, and that whatever they do, they should do it heartily, as unto the Lord (Colossians 3:23). Provide them with the support and encouragement they need to persevere.
For the loved one who called and has not yet been able to return the call, we pray for peace and clarity. Lord, we ask that You would comfort their heart and let them know that they are loved. If there is something wrong, reveal it to them and provide the help they need. Give them patience and understanding, and help them to trust in Your timing. Remind them that You are a God who hears their prayers and sees their needs (Psalm 34:17-18).
Father, we also want to take a moment to rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or discouragement that may be trying to take hold of these situations. We declare that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and we choose to trust in You, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We resist the enemy’s lies and stand firm in the truth of Your Word.
Lord, we ask that You would draw each of these loved ones closer to You. Help them to seek You first in all things, knowing that when they do, You will add all these things unto them (Matthew 6:33). Let them experience Your love, peace, and provision in tangible ways today.
We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
