We come before the Lord with hearts burdened for the struggles many are facing, and we lift up these concerns to our Heavenly Father, who is sovereign over all things. First, we must address that while your request is earnest, we notice the use of symbols in place of words, and we encourage you to speak openly and reverently before the Lord. More importantly, we must always approach God in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father. As Scripture tells us, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'" (John 14:6, WEB)*. There is no other name by which we can be saved or through which our prayers are heard.
We also want to gently remind you that while it is good to pray for the needs of others, including government matters and those affected by the shutdown, our ultimate trust must be in God’s provision and wisdom, not in the systems of this world. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6:33, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Our focus should always be on God’s will above all else, trusting that He will provide for His people in ways that align with His perfect plan.
Regarding your mother-in-law’s fall, we pray earnestly for her recovery and strength. The Lord is our healer, and we ask that He would restore her fully, granting her comfort and peace. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3, WEB). May His healing power be upon her, and may she feel His presence in this time of need.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up these concerns to Your throne of grace. Lord, we ask for Your peace and provision for those affected by the government shutdown. You are our Provider, Jehovah Jireh, and we trust that You will meet the needs of Your people in ways that bring glory to Your name. Help those who are struggling to turn to You for strength and wisdom, and may this time draw many closer to You.
Father, we also lift up this dear mother-in-law who has fallen. Lord Jesus, You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You would touch her body and bring swift and complete healing. Restore her strength, Lord, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. May she and her family feel Your presence and know that You are near.
We also pray for this dear one who has brought this request before us. Lord, draw them closer to You. Help them to seek You first in all things and to trust in Your perfect timing and will. Remove any fear or anxiety and replace it with Your peace. May they walk in faith, knowing that You are in control of all things.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement in the name of Jesus. We declare that You, Lord, are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to answer according to Your will.
In the precious and holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
