Beloved of All
Jesus please let my ### be ok at school and not totally fail his test and let his teacher be nice and respond to his questions about the project and also heal my depression I am so overwhelmed and full of anxiety and can't get anything done, nor do I want to do anything, nor care about anything and the idea of Christmas is just too much for me to get done. Also, please let my packages arrive. Thank you Jesus, Amen.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear mother and her son to our Heavenly Father. We see the weight of anxiety, depression, and the pressures of life pressing down, and we stand in the gap to intercede with boldness in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach God and find true help.

Father God, we first lift up this young man to You. Lord, You know the struggles he faces in school, the weight of tests, and the desire to understand his assignments. We ask that You would grant him clarity of mind, wisdom beyond his years, and favor with his teacher. Soften the heart of his instructor, Lord, that they may respond to his questions with patience and kindness. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus as he navigates his studies. We declare that he will not be overwhelmed but will rise with confidence, for You have not given him a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

We also bring this mother before You, Lord, for she is carrying a heavy burden of depression and anxiety. Father, we rebuke the spirit of heaviness in Jesus’ name and command it to flee. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We ask that You would lift the fog of despair from her mind and heart. Remind her that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Fill her with Your peace, which transcends all understanding, and guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, because You care for her (1 Peter 5:7). Lord, we ask that You would renew her strength, that she may rise up on wings like eagles, run and not grow weary, walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).

We also pray for the practical needs she has mentioned. Father, we ask that You would move on behalf of the packages that need to arrive. Let there be no delays, no lost items, and no frustration in this process. Provide for every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). And Lord, as the Christmas season approaches, we ask that You would lift the burden of preparation from her shoulders. Remind her that You did not call her to carry this weight alone. Help her to focus on the true meaning of Christmas—the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ—and let that truth bring her peace and joy. Teach her to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, and all these things will be added to her (Matthew 6:33).

Father, we also want to gently address the manner in which this prayer was offered. While we are grateful that the name of Jesus was invoked, we must emphasize the importance of coming to God through the name of Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus Himself said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). We encourage this dear sister to deepen her relationship with Christ, to study His Word, and to lean on Him fully, for He is the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).

Lord, we also rebuke any spirit of hopelessness or despair that may be speaking lies to her. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that she is more than a conqueror through Him who loved her (Romans 8:37). We speak life over her mind, her emotions, and her circumstances. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and let her see Your hand moving in every area of her life.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

To this dear mother, we want to encourage you with the words of our Lord: “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30). You are not alone in this battle. The Lord sees your tears, hears your cries, and is moving on your behalf. Take one step at a time, and lean on Him. He is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). We also encourage you to seek godly counsel, whether through your church, a trusted Christian friend, or a biblical counselor. Depression and anxiety are real battles, but they are not battles you have to fight alone. The body of Christ is here to support you, pray for you, and walk with you through this season.

May the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; may the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26).
