We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious child who is suffering from a respiratory and lung infection. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3). We ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand upon this young one, clearing his airways, restoring his lungs, and bringing complete wholeness to his body. Lord, we pray that the fever would break, the cough would cease, and the shortness of breath would be replaced with deep, refreshing breaths of Your life-giving Spirit.
Father, we also ask that You would intervene in the scheduling of his specialist appointment. Give wisdom to the doctors and medical staff, and open a door for him to be seen quickly. Guide the hands of the physicians as they prescribe treatment, and let the medication be effective in bringing relief and healing. We trust in Your promise that if we ask anything according to Your will, You hear us, and we know that it is Your will for this child to be made well (1 John 5:14-15).
We rebuke this infection in the mighty name of Jesus, for He has given us authority over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means harm us (Luke 10:19). We declare that by His stripes, this child is healed (Isaiah 53:5). Strengthen his immune system, Lord, and fill his body with Your healing power.
We also pray for the parents, that You would grant them peace that surpasses all understanding as they care for their son (Philippians 4:7). Give them wisdom, patience, and endurance during this time. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your unfailing love and know that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). We give You all the glory, honor, and praise, for You alone are worthy. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
