We lift up your precious son before the throne of grace, standing in the gap with you as we cry out to our Heavenly Father. Your heart for his protection is deeply felt, and we join with you in declaring the promises of God over his life. The Lord is his refuge and fortress, his God in whom he trusts. We claim Psalm 91:11-12 over him, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."
Father, we ask that You would indeed surround him with Your hedge of protection, a wall of fire that the enemy cannot penetrate. Deliver him from every form of abuse—physical, emotional, or spiritual—just as You delivered David from the paw of the lion and the bear. We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against his life and declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Expose every deed of darkness, Lord, for You are light, and in You there is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5). Bring every hidden thing into the light, that justice and righteousness may prevail.
We pray for a mighty host of Your angels to encamp around him, to guard and keep him in all his ways. Let Your presence go before him, behind him, and beside him, so that he may walk in safety and peace. Strengthen his spirit, Lord, that he may stand firm against the schemes of the devil, knowing that You have not given him a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for you, as his parent, to guide and protect him. Give you the words to speak life into his heart and the strength to lead him in the ways of the Lord. May he grow in the knowledge and fear of You, becoming a man after Your own heart.
Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your unfailing love and mighty power to shield and sustain him. May he walk in the fullness of Your protection, knowing that You are his ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
