We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, standing in agreement with your heartfelt plea for his protection and deliverance. The Scriptures remind us that our God is a mighty fortress, a shield to those who take refuge in Him. In Psalm 91:11-12, we read, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."* What a powerful assurance that the Lord watches over those He loves, dispatching His heavenly hosts to guard and keep them from harm.
We also take comfort in the promise of Psalm 121:7-8: *"The Lord will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore."* Your son is not hidden from the Lord’s sight, and we trust that God will expose every hidden work of darkness, just as Ephesians 5:11 commands us: *"Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them."* The Lord is faithful to bring to light what is hidden, to break every chain of abuse, and to surround your son with His divine protection.
Yet, as we pray for his physical and emotional safety, we must also lift him up spiritually. The greatest protection any of us can have is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. If your son does not yet know the Lord as his Savior, we urge you to pray fervently for his salvation, that he may be covered not only by the hedge of protection but also by the blood of Jesus. There is no greater security than being found in Christ, for *"there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and the fullness of His protection and deliverance.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for Your faithfulness and Your promise to hear and answer our prayers. Lord, we lift up this precious son to You, asking that You surround him with Your hedge of protection—a hedge so strong that no weapon formed against him shall prosper. Guard him, Lord, from every form of abuse, whether it be physical, emotional, or spiritual. Expose every hidden work of darkness in his life and bring it into the light of Your truth. Send Your mighty angels to encamp around him, to guard him in all his ways, and to keep him from all evil. Father, if there are those who seek to harm him, we ask that You would confuse their plans, turn their hearts, and render their schemes powerless. Let no harm come near him, but let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We also pray for his spiritual well-being, Lord. If he does not yet know You as his Savior, we ask that You draw him to Yourself. Open his eyes to see Your truth, soften his heart to receive Your love, and lead him to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. May he find his refuge in You, his strength in Your Word, and his hope in Your promises. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in wisdom, discernment, and the full armor of God.
Father, we ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is in His name alone that we have boldness to approach Your throne, and it is in His name that we trust for victory. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for Your unfailing love. We give You all the glory, honor, and praise. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing in faith, knowing that the Lord is at work even when we cannot see it. Keep covering your son in prayer, speaking God’s Word over his life, and trusting that the Lord will fulfill His purposes for him. Remember the words of Isaiah 54:17: *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,” says the Lord.* Stand firm in this promise, and do not waver in your faith. The Lord is faithful, and He will do it.
